    Great video John, thanks!!! Only IMHO it does not make sense at all for a high handicap to complicate things more than they already are for them. Just go with the most game imrpovment iron throuhgout the whole set

    Thanks John I got a mixed blended set. Mizuno 921 HMPro 4-5iron bent weak, 921 Forged 6-PW, PXG Gen3 T Gap Wedge, and PXG forged 56-60. Love the gap wedge for my gapping as it’s exactly 10yards from my 921F pitching wedge. Love your channel my guy! Keep up the great work. You will be at 100k followers in now time

    Thanks that was interesting. I must admit that I have never had a combo set of Irons and have never really considered having one, but if I ever replace my current Orka Irons I will definitely consider looking at a combo set.
    The newly updated Titleist T range looks to have been designed for combo-ing. When I get the chance I would really like to try out the T100s and the T200 and would think about 7-PW in the T100S & the 6-5 in the T200

    Great discussion. All of the recommendations are of interest to me - 10.8 hcp looking to replace old x16s (getting back to regular playing after 10+ years - lowest I got before the long break was 7.1 hcp). Any thoughts on a 3/3/1 blend (e.g. T100s, T200 with a single T300 long iron or Apex Pro/Apex with a single DCB long iron)?

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My only concern with a 3 combo is sole width and at some point it would become a hindrance opposed to a benefit. Now what I might say is t100,t200, and possibly a t200 utility iron , might be a really good choice.

    I’m playing a titleist dci 962 and 962b combo set straight from titleist made in 1997. It’s weird that combo sets went away for so long. The more I get into golf equipment the more I see everything is just rehashed and nothing is truly “new”

      Couldn’t have said it better, but I will say this and just like the famous Thomas Edison the MFG, for sure learned some things on the 2nd and 3rd pass.

      @@SwingFit random question, do you guys have a performance guarantee where you can return the clubs for a full refund if they aren’t producing the results you want? True spec golf is the only fitter I’ve seen that offers it but I think it should be the norm across the industry

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well this is a tough one for sure, we don’t necessarily have a playability guarantee, but we do stand behind every fit that we do, and we do have a make it right policy, meaning that if our customers aren’t happy then we need to know about it so that we can revisit the fit, and if we need to change something we will. In addition we are also the only company to my knowledge that offers a shaft exchange program. So buy a set of clubs with a specific shaft in it today, and if your swing changes be it for the better or worse we will swap the shaft out minus the price difference and labor fee to perform the swap.

      @@SwingFit shaft exchange program seriously sounds incredible! Kudos for doing that. Love it. I’m prob in the minority here but I’d be more than willing to pay more for some kind of playability guarantee just because as you know sometimes clubs just don’t translate to the course no matter how well the fitting went. My driver, fairway woods, wedges seriously improved my game after getting fitted by one of the best. Iron game though has been awful since day 1 after the fit. Big believer in fitting but sometimes it just doesn’t work out for some clubs 🤷‍♂️ . Paying more for each club more than pays for the occasional dud that doesn’t work

    Been looking at the Srixion ZX MKII and looking at what combo I’m thinking this and maybe add the Srixion ZX utility iron in a 3 or 4 to swap out my 7 wood or 3 hybrid depending on the course I’m at.
    ZX4
    5 iron, 6 iron, 7 iron
    ZX5
    8 iron, 9 iron, PW
    And should I get the Attack wedge or just buy it with my wedge set.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I would go AW in the iron set as a traditional wedge will be hard to keep up with the distances of the ZX 5 irons. And utility irons are no joke, definitely one of my favorites out there.

    As a person that likes to carry one less iron (i.e. 6) to free up a club, I've created my own iron loft-spec of 47,42,38,32,28,24 (i.e. traditional lofted 47-degree PW to 4-iron). I've currently done that with a reverse-combo of Mizuno Hot Medal Pros then 6&5 HMBs, but I'm booked to get fit for the new Titleist irons and my mind is thinking T100 PW,9 (46,42 - bent to 47,42), T100S 8,7,6 (36,32,28 - bent to 37,32,28) and then a T300 5-iron at 23-degrees bent to 24. I'm missing the narrower soles of my old original model year AP2s with 6.5 Rifles. Question for you, what shaft in the Titleist matrix do you think closest matches the Rifle smooth feel but isn't reverse weighted but is mid-launch and not 130 grams and stiff enough for a 108mph driver swing speed? Great video

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well nothing In The matrix that jumps out but I can tell you the Accra Isteel shafts are a very good alternative there is a 115 and 125 version so search for the closest Accra fitter to give them a try

    Hey I have an odd question I’m a hockey play who hits the golf ball quite hard (starting to push 180 ball speed) and I think I need to go down in loft as my driver seems to spin up way too much and to add insult to injury I now Have a long drive shaft put into it and will now hit it even harder so my question is? How would you get these lower lifter drivers?

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So tis really depends on what is the end state that your chasing. Kind of sounds like you may be embarking on a long Drive Journey, so if this is the case, then you best bet would be to acquire a driver head direct from one of these companies such as Krank. What I will share is that 90% of the OEM heads that is available really isnt meant to handle the type of speeds that you are pushing. and yes there are guys on tour thats achieving similar numbers but i can tell you without hesitation that is going to be a tour level head and in most cases built just for that specific golfer. If you look at the characteristics of the long drive heads almost all have a deep face top to bottom, and the crown will likely not be some form of composite. With that said the drivers i feel suit faster speeds would be the either the Callaways, Titleist, and as a wildcard the Pings. This might make a great Video.

      @@SwingFit thank you I really have no idea what to do I know I can get a Taylor made down to 7 but honestly i didn’t know about krank and that helps so much I’ll let you know how the shaft change affects my game
