I went on a Tekken marathon a year or two ago and was lucky enough to find a sealed Fighting Edition disk for the PS3, for a very reasonable price. For those who are unaware, Fighting Edition is basically a 1-Disk bundle that contains Soul Calibur V, Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2
It's insane that you didn't acknowledge the Wii U version of Tag 2. It's easily the best version! Nintendo costumes for the entire roster, mushroom battles (?!), and the ability to apply face and body paint on each fighter. Definitely play that one if you haven't
Watching the rise of competitive Tekken has always made me feel dumb. Had a Playstation when Tekken 3 released, acquired it, played endless hours with friends. I thought it was dumb. I just didn't get it. Having, then, just come to terms with the "Hadouken", Tekken's, quicker and more intuitive 'button-based' combo system was beyond my young mind. It actually soured my opinion of 3D 'sidestepping fighters, and I only recently warned to Soul Calibur.
They're a mixed bag for me too. Aside from nostalgia, I'm not big on Soul Calibur beyond Soul Edge and SC on the Dreamcast. Funny enough, my opinion on Tekken has only improved with time.
I really really want a cross generation Collection of Tekken games namely 1 through 4 so I can get into this amazing series hell I might even pick up the second challenger pack for Smash Ultimate because I'm considering reunited with some of my old classmates from High school in the near future and Smash Bros. was an activity we loved to at our video game club.
That's awesome! While it doesn't have 4, grabbing a copy of Tekken 5 on the PS2 is almost what you're looking for. It has 1, 2, 3, and of course 5 included on it, all on the same disk. 1-3 are the arcade versions to which make it even better 😁
Everyone's list is always different when it comes to ranking Tekken games.
But it's always cool to hear different perspectives 💯

Please review Tekken 8 when you’re to! Curious on your thoughts
Personally, Tekken 5 is my favorite in the franchise, but Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 6 are also quite good too.
