I remember back in the early 2000's when they finally managed to break the CPS2 encryption making the games playable in emulators, good times.

Me too, and I recently revived my PSP and added an SD card, and it's back to being my number 1 favorite way to play games (in 2024)!

The Marvel CPS2 games were my first introductions to most all of those characters, except maybe Spider-Man. As a result, I assumed that Blackheart was just as popular as that Iron Man guy.

I was very very fortunate to have a local arcade with an Alien vs Predator machine, and I played the living fuck out of it. It helped that I worked at that place for a while too.
When I rented the SNES "version", I was so disappointed.
