I can’t imagine anyone not liking your creations. You have certainly overcome a lot of hurdles. I personally love your hollow forms. Thanks to your in-laws for all they have done
Patent pending 😂! Happy to see Duane made it "home" safely! Bowl is so beautiful ❤! I would be happy winning your scraps! LoL! Thank you to everyone for working SOOO hard to keep posting your stunning creations!❤
While you were in process of making this piece, you were astonished by the darkness of the resin. I, myself thought the darkness set against the cherry was good. And the colors throughout the darkness, when lit were also good.
Jim, I like all of your creations! I say make what makes you happy! This bowl is one of my favorites! Well done! The resin and cherry work well together 👏
Jim it’s great to have you back!!!! As per usual this piece is superb! The cherry really has a unique reddish tint, love it! The epoxy does show the cloth material, at first I was questioning whether it would work, but it’s really really nice! Thanks for sharing the move with us! I watch several turning channels, you are the best, my favorite by far! Thanks again!!!
Congratulations, Rhonda! And Jim, I am sure whatever you make, whether it's a utility item or a gorgeous art piece, the winners are very happy with them. They are very lucky to have a wonderful piece created by one of the best turners on TH-cam! That turned out just stunning.
Hey Jim, nice to see you back up and turning! That bowl looked great! To chime in on your question about the giveaways, I think a giveaway is just that; something you are giving as a token of appreciation to your viewers. Anything you make should be valued and appreciated, regardless of what it is. So I'd say if you make it, whoever wins should just say thank you and accept it. If they whine, then maybe they don't deserve it! 😝. Looking forward to more episodes and watching the new workshop come together. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!!
Good morning 🌅 Jim and family, I hope you are all keeping safe and well, Cherry 🍒 Bowl 🥣 looks very good, do you think because you packed the clothes 😂 in to tight that was the reason for it being so bark , I think you were still working on your move packing in things tight to make sure you had used all of the space, 😂😂😂, the final frontier of your moving, not sure if I mention that I have installed my log stove in my workshop last week, toasty, now, keep up the great works of art, looking 👀 forward to next weeks, from France,
Very nice. That cherry is beautiful. I love the way the void filled in. The beauty of this piece is in the simplicity. Clean, lovely, and elegant. Bravo Jim on your first piece in New Brunswick.
Jim, I love this bowl -- very classy looking. I think the placement of the void is perfect. The fabric/resin inlay is wonderful. Congratulations to the winner -- I'm envious. As far as what to do for give-aways, I think it's impossible to determine ahead of time which type of product would be best. I think anyone who watches your content regularly would be thrilled with whatever they got -- "utility" or "art". All your pieces are art. Thanks for your great content. And congratulations on your 135 subscribers!
There's just something so satisfying about watching the vacuum chamber.... ASMR! It's nice to know some things never change, Jim vs the mold!! 😂 Love your work, everything is stunning! I can't believe there are those who don't like it. IF I ever won something, I'd never complain, I see how much work goes into it. This piece is gorgeous, not to mention creative!!
I don't have you knowledge and your skill , but I really enjoy see you work, how you turn a piece of wood with the resin from Designer Epoxy into a piece of art. Always suprises me each time what you can achieve each time. Great work Jim.
Congrats on the 135k…I appreciate you sharing both the build of your new workshop and the turnings in your temporary shop. I have never been disappointed in anything you’ve made.
What a special surprise when lit from the inside. The colors in the designer epoxy are beautifully subtle. It looks like you have given the set up of your temporary shop a lot of thought. Congratulations on another great piece.
I can't see anyone un happy with one of your creations. You are a great artisan. I have learned alot watching your videos using Designer Epoxy and I look forward to all of your videos.
Really nice bowl , like the inlay. Had to stop the vid twice to cook leftover pizza, godfather makes it right. Glad the new shop is going well. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
I think the inlay looks like a vein of black opal, and is really cool! I'm so glad your in-laws are lending you this space for the duration. it's great to be able to still get some wood turning videos during this time. And I'm so impressed with how quickly you set up this workshop! 🤯
Wonderful seeing you work at the lathe again Jim, and again you produced another unique piece of utilizable art, it showcases the natural beauty of cherry wood and Designer Epoxy inlay. Ah to have all your tools in there permanent places..it will make things go faster, without frantic searches of what you need with each new piece. Good luck with the build!
Jim I’m sorry you were disappointed but that was a beautiful bowl. Its beauty was in its simplicity. The Cherry Wood was the star this time. Really well done. As far as future giveaways I can’t see any follower turn down anything you make. My only thought is keep it reasonably sized so it’s easier to use (and ship😊). Thanks for taking us on this journey with you and your wife.
Oh WOW!! This bowl!… so so so beautiful! The chatoyance is just out of this world amazing! I think you were right about not adding an inlay… it doesn’t need one.
Beautiful bowl. The cherry has so much going on. I like that you try different things. The cloth filled section is quite unique and adds extra character.
Jim I would be pleased with anything you made. It's beautiful and done well. My sister watches as well and she would also be happy with anything. We just enjoy watching.
Jim, I haven't been on my feed for months. But this morning, I needed a break from politics and hit my subscription button, and there you were. I watched every second. I love your work. Even if you're adapting to new surroundings, your work is impeccable. That Designer epoxy stuff is magic and I could see lots of color in the bowl. Stunning. Thank you for both a relaxing and enjoyable distraction. The bowl is perfect.
I think that bowl was gorgeous! I love cherry wood and with what was stuffed in it made it look even more beautiful. Your ideas and style are amazing!!!
Designer Epoxy Jim, I'd be happy with whatever it was you chose as a giveaway. Everything that I've seen you make has been beautiful (even the salt & pepper sets that you hate so much to make!) It's so great to see you back at your lathe. This is one lovely bowl! I do love the wood, and yes, I can see the colours that are in the shavings. Gorgeous.
I f I was ever lucky enough to win one of your beautiful creations there would be no complaint. Everything you do is just gorgeous Jim, and this bowl is just lovely.
Nice piece. I could see the material inside the designer epoxy, but I’m sure it shows up better when it’s on display in a home. It’s very nice of you to keep putting out videos when you have so much going on.
Happy to see that our marvellous bumbpy, patched, festival of pot holes roads here in Quebec did not broke any of your machineries... also happy that you had a safe trip overall. Glad to see back in action... designer epoxy
All your creations - even the non blue things - are so neat! This one turned out nicely. The shavings may not be super visible but having something eye catching up close adds to the uniqueness.
Jim, nice temporary shop! Great in-laws👍. I like the useful bowls. They are so easy to use in any decor. The hollow forms are unique and may not fit in all situations. Designer epoxy
Hi Jim, I don’t think anyone following your channel would not love to have a thing you created. But I do agree that utilitarian items would be the best choice to stick with. If only because you can show them off more easily and tell how they became to be in your possession. On a different topic, when you used the bright light, it did indeed fail to show the cloth, but when you moved it sideways, for a short moment it did show it perfectly. Maybe an idea to play with lightning that way? Anyway, loved the weekly update again.
Really love the simplicity of this bowl. The resin effect was beautiful. I REALLY can't imagine anyone who takes the time to like and leave a comment turning their noses up at ANYTHING you create!! Everything you make is amazing. As always, have a great weekend! 👍
I can’t believe how quickly you got back to a turning video! It’s obvious how much had to be done to even get you to this temporary workshop. This has been an interesting journey to follow.
Designer Epoxy. The hardest thing to find in any workshop will always be a flat, clutter free workspace. Great job worrking with what space you have. Nice jo on the first down east bowl.
Very nice. That piece of cherry is captivating all by itself. The video is hinting at what your description of what the Designer Epoxy and cloth looks like. I think items you can use are probably better giveaways than those that are mainly decorative. Most people have an occasion to use something like this. Not everyone has a place to for purely display. Great piece for getting started in your new, temporary location.
I can't wait to see your new shop. I enjoyed watching your move videos and want to thank you for filming it, You showed me how to move my lathes and equipment when I'm ready to move. Tell them to hurry up with your new shop. I can't wait to see how you set it up.
As a fiberartist and quilter, the idea of using fabric shreds inside the epoxy inlay was very exciting for me! I can totally see the color in the inlay and cherry is my favorite wood. I have a cherry weaving loom. What a beautiful piece!
Fantastic creativity there! You seem to push the limits of your imagination. I have liked all your creations, and it's hard to make a choice, which I like more.
Personally I prefer a hollow form as they are something special and something that is so individual. Glad to see you back turning and I am enjoying my Saturday viewing.
Like you said, cherry is Queen & Walnut is king. Outstanding bowl, glad to see you're able to get back on the lathe. I know I was itching to get back on when I was hurt.
Amazing how you fit your shop into this garage. I’ll be interested to see the setup in your new custom shop once it’s finished to see what your dream shop will look like. That new flat heater looks like a mica heater, I have one and love it. It’s so efficient I can heat my entire room low the low setting.
Dwayne! First Bucket Fight in the New Brunswick! Re: bowl vs hollow form for the giveaways: my reaction often to one of your stunning art pieces is that it needs to be the only attention-getter in a room: to me they tend to scream LOOK AT ME!!! So I think you are right that a bowl, however unique and lovely, is likely to "play well" with one's other possessions. AND, I love this finished cherry bowl: I think the resin part gives the impression that it grew with the gorgeous wood, it's one organic and very beautiful piece! But when you look twice and see the colors hidden in the resin, well, it's a great surprise. Understated and Lovely.
Yea!!!! Designer Epoxy returns. Nice bowl but like you I was a little disappointed that the color didn't pop more than it did. Still a nice bowl for fruit or nuts I think.
My shop is in the basement 25' x 25'. It had 4 flourescent lights, switched them out for 6, 100W eguivalent daylight bulbs, Much better lighting. Still have an additional task light for the lathe, same bulb. Other than some Christmas ornaments about all I make are utility items. That one is looking good Jim.
Nice job Jim! Looks like the temp shop is not going to slow you down much. Interesting technique. Turned out awesome. Thanks again for the discount, just made another Designer Epoxy order!
Thanks for the chance to win one of your wonderful pieces of artwork. Great to see you back at it in your temporary shop, and thank you for sharing about Designer Epoxy being food safe. I was unaware of that, and may suggest it to a friend who is building an epoxy covered wood countertop. Thanks Jim
Hi Jim, you are right resin is the master. It has a mind of its own. You make what ever you feel what is good for the wood. Anyone including myself would be delighted to have your beautiful works. Saw your new workshop video, as we say in Cork, it's going to be a fine old size. Its looks a beautiful area. The bowl is beautiful it's like a surprise when the light hits the colours of cloth. Congrats to the winners. Take care.
I have replaced the fluorescent lights with LED lights. I love them. 7 lights in a double car garage. They are the 4 footers. On your cherry bowl. Awesome.
Congrats to the winners! I really like this bowl. The inlay is understated until it is backlit. The cherry is awesome, and the star of the show. Designer Epoxy.
What a lovely piece! I actually really like the subtlety of the colours, the dark mysterious crevice that shows the little pops of colour at certain angles is very appealing to me. I think your plan for utility items for giveaways is a great idea, I think this logical approach will have the intended effect of the resulting pieces have a wider appeal. I personally, however, love your hollowforms and artistic pieces just as much and would be thrilled to win any kind of piece, to the point where if I won something that doesn't fit my decor I'd make a concerted effort to create a space in my home to complement it anyway! Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness Jim, I'm sure all of the lucky winners of your giveaways treasure their prizes. A big congratulations to the winners, great to see you back on the lathe, thank you for an enjoyable video!
This is a lovely bowl. You need to give yourself a break and maybe make easier, simpler projects in the future. We, the viewers, are with you and we understand that circumstances are not ideal for the big projects. I have to tell you some of your comments made me laugh outloud. Tell your in-laws we appreciate them also.
It's so nice to see you up and running again. I know it makes you happy how ever it is. I can't wait until your shop is ready and you're able to set up exactly how you want it done. I'm sure it will be completely awesome for your work. That bowl is nice. Everything you do, you do well. If it's not my taste, it's someone else's. No worries Jim. 😊❤
I can’t imagine anyone not liking your creations. You have certainly overcome a lot of hurdles. I personally love your hollow forms. Thanks to your in-laws for all they have done
Thank you so much!

Love it Jim. ❤
Thank you so much!
Congratulations on your 135K subscribers!!! I would be happy to own anything that you would make for a giveaway.
Awesome! Thanks so much!
It's amazing what you can accomplish in a smaller area. The temporary shop looks like a tight squeeze, but your piece still looks great.
I forgot to put designer epoxy in my note.
With the light behind it, the bowl looks like it's a red color. Beautiful. 😊
Thank you so much!
Everything in the world is good when Jim, Dwayne, and the high speed hammer get together! Beautiful bowl, lots of figuring!
Thank you so much!
While you were in process of making this piece, you were astonished by the darkness of the resin. I, myself thought the darkness set against the cherry was good. And the colors throughout the darkness, when lit were also good.
Yes, I was surprised by how dark it was, thanks.
Congratulations to Ronda McFalls on winning this spectacular bowl! Jim is a master craftsman and artist!
Thanks so much!
So happy to see you back. I am so impressed with your work. I would be THRILLED with anything you make. ❤
Thank you so much!

Jim love your artistry and vision. Your ability to find and release the bowls hiding inside the rough wood and blanks is amazing.
Thanks so much!

What a beauty. The cherry wood is so warm and lively. The epoxy looks like amber.
I think it picked up some color from the cherry. Thanks
Very nice. That cherry is beautiful. I love the way the void filled in. The beauty of this piece is in the simplicity. Clean, lovely, and elegant. Bravo Jim on your first piece in New Brunswick.

That is stunning - I don't think anyone can say they wouldn't like any giveaway prize!
You do what you think I love all of your creations 😍
Thank you so much!
I really love this bowl. The cloth/epoxy part looks like Opal. Combined with the warmth of the cherry is magnificent.

Bowl, vase or hollow form, anything will do. I would be proud to display anything. Beautiful bowl.

Oh, there out there! Thank you so much!
Beautiful bowl! Glad you're back in "production". Excited for you to get the new workshop.
Me too! Thanks so much!
I can’t believe how quickly you got back to a turning video! It’s obvious how much had to be done to even get you to this temporary workshop. This has been an interesting journey to follow.
You managed some creative solutions to the problems presented by the temporary shop, and the bowl turned out beautifully!
Thank you very much!
Hey,great to have you back turning and the move went well.
Thanks so much!

Watching your videos help my PTSD. I find that watching the process is very calming. Each creation is so unique and one of a kind. Thank you so much.
You should try turning if possible
Glad to help anyway I can! Look for a turning club in your area, it’s a great community and a great way to pass the time! Stay safe, thanks.

Love your videos, Jim! You make such beautiful pieces. Thanks for the videos! Hope you are recovered from your move. Take care.
Getting there, thanks.
Congratulations on the move. Would be honored to receive anything made and sent from you. While dark indeed, the Designer Epoxy still works well.
Thanks so much!
Fantastic creativity there! You seem to push the limits of your imagination. I have liked all your creations, and it's hard to make a choice, which I like more.

Fingers crossed! Thanks
@@SpragueWoodturning Thanks for the try! Look forward to the next video, as always. Hope you get some rest after that big move!
Take care.
Love the bowl. Thank goodness for family. Nobody can say you are not adaptable. Personally I would love an kind of giveaway
Thanks so much!
Congrats to getting back into making your art pieces. As for give aways, anything from you would be awesome.
Thanks so much!
Thank you very much!
So nice to have you back.
Ce bol en cerisier est vraiment magnifique. Un vrai plaisir de vous revoir en ligne. Happy happy
Thank you so much!
I like all that you make be it bowl, vase, hollow form, platter, and plate.
Awesome! Thank you!
WOW!!! I think its absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
Thank you so much!
I love the color of the wood and it's grain and the simplicity. I would absolutely love anything you make. It's a work of art.
Thank you very much!
The bowl is so beautiful. Congratulations to the winners.
Thank you!
Thank you very much!
The subtle colors of the fabric look good on camera.
Thank you very much!
That bowl is amazing and the Designer Epoxy just makes the cherry pop!
Thanks so much!
That's a beautiful piece of work from a beautiful piece of cherry. The fabric cuttings look great.

Que bom, consegui achar seus vídeos novamente! Adoro.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
