While you were in process of making this piece, you were astonished by the darkness of the resin. I, myself thought the darkness set against the cherry was good. And the colors throughout the darkness, when lit were also good.

Jim it’s great to have you back!!!! As per usual this piece is superb! The cherry really has a unique reddish tint, love it! The epoxy does show the cloth material, at first I was questioning whether it would work, but it’s really really nice! Thanks for sharing the move with us! I watch several turning channels, you are the best, my favorite by far! Thanks again!!!

Hey Jim, nice to see you back up and turning! That bowl looked great! To chime in on your question about the giveaways, I think a giveaway is just that; something you are giving as a token of appreciation to your viewers. Anything you make should be valued and appreciated, regardless of what it is. So I'd say if you make it, whoever wins should just say thank you and accept it. If they whine, then maybe they don't deserve it! 😝. Looking forward to more episodes and watching the new workshop come together. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!!

Good morning 🌅 Jim and family, I hope you are all keeping safe and well, Cherry 🍒 Bowl 🥣 looks very good, do you think because you packed the clothes 😂 in to tight that was the reason for it being so bark , I think you were still working on your move packing in things tight to make sure you had used all of the space, 😂😂😂, the final frontier of your moving, not sure if I mention that I have installed my log stove in my workshop last week, toasty, now, keep up the great works of art, looking 👀 forward to next weeks, from France,

Jim, I love this bowl -- very classy looking. I think the placement of the void is perfect. The fabric/resin inlay is wonderful. Congratulations to the winner -- I'm envious. As far as what to do for give-aways, I think it's impossible to determine ahead of time which type of product would be best. I think anyone who watches your content regularly would be thrilled with whatever they got -- "utility" or "art". All your pieces are art. Thanks for your great content. And congratulations on your 135 subscribers!

Hi Jim, I don’t think anyone following your channel would not love to have a thing you created. But I do agree that utilitarian items would be the best choice to stick with. If only because you can show them off more easily and tell how they became to be in your possession. On a different topic, when you used the bright light, it did indeed fail to show the cloth, but when you moved it sideways, for a short moment it did show it perfectly. Maybe an idea to play with lightning that way? Anyway, loved the weekly update again.

Very nice. That piece of cherry is captivating all by itself. The video is hinting at what your description of what the Designer Epoxy and cloth looks like. Great piece for getting started in your new, temporary location.

Dwayne! First Bucket Fight in the New Brunswick! Re: bowl vs hollow form for the giveaways: my reaction often to one of your stunning art pieces is that it needs to be the only attention-getter in a room: to me they tend to scream LOOK AT ME!!! So I think you are right that a bowl, however unique and lovely, is likely to "play well" with one's other possessions. AND, I love this finished cherry bowl: I think the resin part gives the impression that it grew with the gorgeous wood, it's one organic and very beautiful piece! But when you look twice and see the colors hidden in the resin, well, it's a great surprise. Understated and Lovely.

Thanks for the chance to win one of your wonderful pieces of artwork. Great to see you back at it in your temporary shop, and thank you for sharing about Designer Epoxy being food safe. I was unaware of that, and may suggest it to a friend who is building an epoxy covered wood countertop. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim, you are right resin is the master. It has a mind of its own. You make what ever you feel what is good for the wood. Anyone including myself would be delighted to have your beautiful works. Saw your new workshop video, as we say in Cork, it's going to be a fine old size. Its looks a beautiful area. The bowl is beautiful it's like a surprise when the light hits the colours of cloth. Congrats to the winners. Take care.

I have replaced the fluorescent lights with LED lights. I love them. 7 lights in a double car garage. They are the 4 footers. On your cherry bowl. Awesome.

Congrats to the winners! I really like this bowl. The inlay is understated until it is backlit. The cherry is awesome, and the star of the show. Designer Epoxy.

What a lovely piece! I actually really like the subtlety of the colours, the dark mysterious crevice that shows the little pops of colour at certain angles is very appealing to me.
I think your plan for utility items for giveaways is a great idea, I think this logical approach will have the intended effect of the resulting pieces have a wider appeal. I personally, however, love your hollowforms and artistic pieces just as much and would be thrilled to win any kind of piece, to the point where if I won something that doesn't fit my decor I'd make a concerted effort to create a space in my home to complement it anyway! Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness Jim, I'm sure all of the lucky winners of your giveaways treasure their prizes.
A big congratulations to the winners, great to see you back on the lathe, thank you for an enjoyable video!

This is a lovely bowl. You need to give yourself a break and maybe make easier, simpler projects in the future. We, the viewers, are with you and we understand that circumstances are not ideal for the big projects. I have to tell you some of your comments made me laugh outloud. Tell your in-laws we appreciate them also.

It's so nice to see you up and running again. I know it makes you happy how ever it is. I can't wait until your shop is ready and you're able to set up exactly how you want it done. I'm sure it will be completely awesome for your work. That bowl is nice. Everything you do, you do well. If it's not my taste, it's someone else's. No worries Jim. 😊❤
