DrXanatos nice to see people appreciating the original Quinlan then. His arc in the Republic comics was great and was essential for EU Clone Wars. It’s a shame TCW screed it up.
He was a Jedi, but over time he became distraught with both The Republic and The Jedi Order. Especially with how The Republic used The Jedi as their own personal henchmen. You gotta respect how connected legends feels, you get people from all over the galaxy coming together in one story unlike canon where they just jump from planet to planet like they grow on trees
And TCW didn't include any of this. TCW has only omitted and retconned a large part of the Clone Wars. This is why Star Wars Legends cannot be overlooked and blotted out of Star Wars Canon. Legends is an important part of Canon. Removing Legends to its own Universe is like trying to use your right arm while tying your left arm behind your back.

I will never understand why TCW 2008 never included them at all. Sure, there's Pong Krell, but even he wasn't officially a part of them. Quinlan Vos sure was an absolute unit in Legends, only to be "nerfed" in "Canon". Wonder how he fared between the end of the Republic comics and his death though?
Asajj Ventress's fate is one of the only things in which the canon version is cooler and more fleshed out, but that's because it was Clone Wars, and that show was awesome. I thought the Dark Disciple book was cool (it was going to be a CW arc before it was pulled from CN), but overall, I like Legend's story for Quinlan Vos as a totality. Especially how he survives Order 66. Dark Disciples did, however, make up for the shitty frat boy protrayal of him in those few Clone Wars episodes, and made me fall in love with his character all over again (as well as provide a fitting and amazing end for Ventress's story).
