Found your easy step by step guide very useful, I am just about to use the same machine for the first time, I will be a lot more confident now. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I'm really happy you found this video really useful and glad to help you with it. If you ever have any questions, I would be happy to help 👍
I know nothing about detailing and this helped out alot!! I've been gifted a SIMONIZ Polisher machine looks like the one used in the clip just different handles, this helps so much thank you!!
I did learn couple things man!!! I like the wax on app then dab on area before just setting it down and turning it on!! Don’t think I’d of thought about that
No worries at all! I have a 2nd video that has a bit more different information on it, that might also be useful for you 🙌 th-cam.com/video/nnNOx6wdTBs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aUK3RVCedCTlSwd5
I followed your instructions to the letter today but used a Red T Cut Colour tinted polish on my convertible Audi. The polisher sprays a mist of polish everywhere. With untinted polish you probably wouldn't notice it but with a red polish you see it everywhere. My advice is probably best to do it by hand if using a colour tint polish.
Also worth mentioning is the liquid polish goes through the applicator bonnet and into the polisher sponge so before putting on the polishing bonnet, wipe the excess polish off the polisher sponge.
@@dannygladman thanks for watching! Yes any colour polish I wouldn't recommend with a machine. As you have mentioned but probably would need less product on the pad as well. I have black polish but I only do that by hand. Also like you say it will stain anything you use. That is why I bought an applicator pad just for the black polish 👍
Good video, thanks for that, so just to clarify you use a clean pad to remove the polish/wax? You didn’t use any other product on the send pad to remove the wax right?
@@fireblade_ninja308 thanks for watching! So with this machine, I used it that way as his has the pad to remove the wax. So that the method I showed in this video. If you didn't want to do it that way, I recommend using a clean cloth to buff and remove the wax/ polish. You can do it whatever way works for you 👍
I am just starting up and trying to build a potential customer base, been and got a pressure washer, microfibre clothes, drying towels, wheel cleaners, pressure sprayer but I wanna do more than a basic clean as it stands currently... this video is helpful to know the piece of equipment and product to use as a beginner. Have you got one for machine polishing the wings and any tips on the wing mirrors please as I am in a process of learning and applying myself to becoming more motivated to become professional.
Thank you for your comment. Ok so I have a new machine polishing video on a slightly smaller machine, which is just a 5inch DA polisher but I haven't got a video that shows smaller than that. You would require a 2/3 inch DA polisher for mirrors and harder to reach areas. You could also do them by hand but I would recommend having a 5 inch DA polisher and then a smaller one as well. If your plan is to do a lot of polishing jobs, then you will need both. I do this as a hobby, but if you check out some of my other detail videos might give you an idea of what sort of products you might need going forward. Good luck with it all and obviously any other questions please let me know, always happy to help 👍
Thanks for watching! It is totally safe to use on a new car. Also I would recommend polishing a brand new car as out of factory the paint work will have many defects that are not too noticeable but are there. Also would recommend a Decon wash before polishing as the car can collect a lot of fallout on it travels to the dealership 👍
Thanks for the confident inspiring video. I bought my 1st polisher similar to yours. I have 2 black cars that I will try to wax in my driveway (no garage). I usually wax by hand so this will be a new venture for me! I'm a little confused about how to tell which pad is used for application. But I'll figure it out. Thanks! Wish me luck!
@@mackyhowy8581 thanks for watching! Good luck with it, I have a black car now and they are a bit more harder to work with. I do most of my waxing & polishing on my driveway. Just try to keep out of direct sun even more so with black paint. Just have a go and see how you get on, good luck with it 🙏👍
Thank you mate and good luck with your business. Glad it was helpful, I've just done a new updated video for machine polishing. That could be even more helpful as I've added more information into that video as well 👍
Thank you for watching and you are very welcome. I had noticed this as well, so wanted to add this into the video. It's good to know how to remove by machine as well as by hand 👍
I seem to be getting a few issues with polish sling. Any tips? I've tried less product and also not putting polish too close to the edge of the pad and the problem isn't as bad but it still happens more often than I'd like
So I did a different machine polish video recently that I'm sure I will show how I apply the polish to the pad. But the way to reduce this is, first apply the product to the pad and massage in the pad with an applicator to lubricate the pad, then apply a few small dots of the polish, say like 4 dots over the pad. Then put the machine on the car, if you machine as a speed setting put it on the slowest setting, apply the product all over to give a base layer and then up the speed to polish the car. If your machine has one speed, it will be hard to reduce the sling, so it may not be your fault but the machine you're using? For example the machine in this video has no speed setting but the one in my new video does 👍 let me know
It is a tight fit and needs to be so it doesn't come off when spinning. It might not fit right over the whole space but try your best to pull it on as much as possible 👍
Thanks for watching! It only looks brand new because of the time and effort I put into the polishing of it. But I do most of my machine polishing outside as the garage isn't big enough for the full car. This video is just to show you how to do it, but you can do the same outside and if the car is in the worst condition, it will need more effort put into the process.
Thanks for watching 👍 this is one of my first videos I ever did and as you can see it has done really well, loads of great feedback as well. This is a hobby for me, not a day job but my videos now are so much better. But comments like this make doing it more worthwhile. I look forward to watching one of your videos 👍

On a newish car this type of polisher is ideal. What you don't want is an aggressive polisher with cutting compound on a new car.
