Joe Taslim has training in taekwondo, pencak silat and wushu, but he was on Indonesia’s national judo team from 1997 to 2009 and won one Silver and two Bronze medals at the Southeast Asian Games, and a Gold medal at the 2008 Pekan Olahraga Nasional, so judo is his main style.
These Indonesian really know how to make you feel the injuries everybody's getting during the fight scenes. The violence is very real and visceral compared to the videogamey violence of the later John Wick movies and Hollywood movies in general. Edit: In contradiction to what I wrote above I think you guys would enjoy Shoot Em Up (2007). It's a lot of violent "doesn't take itself seriously" fun.
She's right about Indonesian martial arts printables, Silat and all it's styles is basically based on survival not self defense, it's a kill or be killed martial art
Just when I thought The Raid movies were hardcore, Boom! Iko Uwais is at it again. I still think him and Mad Dog was wasted in Force Awakens. And to sum up this movie: 7:33 😮😮
@@MC-yi8ij yeah, both The Raid and TNCFU is a better Mortal Kombat movie than Mortal Kombat it self. What missing is a commentator say "Finish Him" and "Fatality" at the end of every fight.
Your reaction has made me curious about this movie. I'm not usually into gore, but then it's usually used for movies like "saw" or "Hostel." Might be more acceptable to me used in an action film. However, if it requires me to quit early on and down some Pepto Bismol, I'll let you know. 😉
In terms of storyline, this is pretty linear. Not as thrilling as the raid 1 or as complex as the raid 2 . It is 6/10 for me. But for fight presentation, this movie was up there with them
that bobby guy is actually white, his name is zack lee born in liverpool UK but he change the nationality since he married an Indonesian. also the word "bule" is a specific calls for white people.
For Memorial Day week, may I suggest "Kelly's Heroes"? Action comedy caper with a cast of then and future stars -- Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, Don Rickles, and more.
The Raid and The Raid2 are the best Action Movies, It can't get better, impossible. But if you see this Movies, you can stop watching Action Movies, because you have seen everything😎
Sub movies. You're gonna enter realm of wonderful movies from a lot of countries. Try Indonesia, hong kong, thai action, india, horror movies, even old movies. Will not disappointed

I think Joe Taslim is a very charismatic actor, and I hope he gets more recognition outside of Indonesia.
I think emily's facial expressions is my favorite part...I'm dying laughing at them. Good job.

Nyarios naon
There are many genre-martial art combination movies. But I think this is the first slasher-martial art movie I have ever seen.
This movie was more brutal then THE RAID.. It's too much blood..
This is an awesome movie that needs a physical release!!!
@@jimtatro6550 damn agree!

If Mortal Kombat could make a true movie with a storyline, it would be like this.
@@MC-yi8ij yeah, both The Raid and TNCFU is a better Mortal Kombat movie than Mortal Kombat it self. What missing is a commentator say "Finish Him" and "Fatality" at the end of every fight.
Loved the contrast between Pippin having himself a #FatNap while absolute carnage played out on the bottom half of the screen.
If I remember correctly when I first saw this, the director is a horror director, so it explains all the body horror
Love this movie. Right up there with Raid and Raid 2. They really don't mess around. Action be hardest of hardcore. 😁
