    At least those were paid-for/sponsored tires that you were burning a few hundred dollars worth of rubber off of in the burn-out.

    • @glenngore6609
      @glenngore6609 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And kudos for telling us that they were sponsored. I appreciate the full disclosure

    • @Casey250
      @Casey250  4 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Not sponsored at all. Sorry if that was implied. Epic got them to me quickly and was great to deal with and offered a discount that was more competitive that any other shop but I still was out of pocket a good chunk of change. I don't think i have recieved any thing free from any one. Occasionally discounts from long term partners like Warn, and Teraflex, but I have spent thousands and thousands with both companies. I like to shout out local companies and/or any company that has gone out of their way to make my life easier and has great teams (Northridge 4x4 has been a huge help for a long time) and products. I have no interest in promoting products I don't believe in just for free stuff and have turned down several. Any company that stands behind their product, is quick to respond to questions, and makes ordering easy is far more valuable then saving a few bucks here and there.

      IMO you're going to need a couple inches more lift for full articulation.

    • @shushu86
      @shushu86 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you need to strengthen any parts such as axle extra by installing 37s? Is a lift itself just good enough?

      I agree! 118 lbs is not bad at all! I was expecting 150ish! He went from 77lbs to 118lbs but those are 37" and for some reason why they list them at 12.5 but they are nearly 14" wide!
      Best off road tire for both weight, size, capability combo ever! I had those in 33" on my 2017 4Runner and man they grab on the rocks here in Arizona as if they have real teeth!

    Love it! I have the same jeep and looking at this I might go with this tires. Can you let us know how is the highway speed over 65 mph. The stock tires are not that great, requires constant feedback. Also looking forward to learn about mpg difference. Great videos.

    Hey I'm new to this and I have a question in Canada is not permitted to go to 40s and one ton axels

    • @Casey250
      @Casey250  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It will vary province to province. There isn't a reason I can find that wouldn't allow 40s and tons in BC. However there are countless regulations that would need to be followed for other things that adding new axles or larger tires would need to be followed. Bumper height, headlight height, tire poke, lift height, mud flaps, frame welding, steering welding, bumper width. To name a few.

    I am really interested in these rims, but was somewhat concerned with how close the valves are to the edge of the ram. From other pictures I have seen it look like they might be vulnerable to being damaged on rocks. From this video it appears that they are further back than I originally thought, and probably not as available as I thought. I will be very interested in watching to see your experiences when you actually take them out wheeling to see if that is an issue at all. I’ve had a lot of bead locks, and don’t really want to deal with all of the issues that come with them. This is the first wheel I’ve seen that takes some very definitive steps to allowing a wheeler to run wheels without bead locks. The lips on the inside of the beads looks like they would be effective, so I’m very interested to see the real world experience at low air pressure.

    • @Casey250
      @Casey250  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would have to be a real akward rock that hits hard to damage them. I do have spare valves and caps I am carrying with me just in case. So even if something did happen it wouldn't be a hard trail fix.

    • @chadlloyd6247

      Casey 250 looking forward to a trail report - after the suspension is in, I imagine. Btw I’m from Vancouver, now in Halifax. Rocks here come coated in gravy, between trees and roots. That’s what I remember of the island as well.

    Hey not sure if you have a video showing it already, but did you have to do anything special (drilling etc). to get that license plate bracket above the rear bumper? One thing I wasn't crazy about with the JL is rear license plate location being inside the bumper, looks like you do something a lot better IMO

    Those nomads are going to ruin your day if you actually do any real rock crawling, they are rock targets and that deflator valve will get ripped off and you'll be done. I've seen it happen twice on one trail. It's a terrible design flaw. All those wheels should be recalled. It's about as bad as running metal valve stems.
