    Tip for soft top windows. Clean the plastic windows, dry, then use armor all on inside and out. Buff with micro fiber towel. They won’t yellow and works like rain-x.

    I was so happy to see that the soft top on the JL can be unclipped quickly from the roll bar. I’ll soon be updating my JK and I always thought the soft top on the JL looked terrible when down. But now I see it can be put into a JK position.

    Those hard tops get hot real quick, you gotta put a liner, and if it comes with an insulation barrier built-in even better since the entire hardshell becomes a heating issue

    Honestly, and see for yourself. On 37s he needs 4.5 inch lunch lift. I highly recommend the evo stage 4+ overland enforcer. With kings..its what I have on my gladiator!!!! I have been totally impressed with it...so many others seem to be having short term problems...by my observations. The flex is perfect without any rubbing or modification. Every thing I looked into needed something

      Had an old '88 YJ with a soft top. It was a easier to get off, but I live in MI and didn't have it off much.....and very cold in winter! Have hard-top Gladiator in NoCal, which is perfect cuz I can take off the top and have it off for 5-6 months and not worry about rain (and actually not hard to remove by myself). If I lived anywhere east, soft top would be more convenient.

    The soft top on the Gladiator is pretty cool however """ Up here, I live in North Dakota, where we have some pretty nasty storms in the winter, ie, -100 deg wind chill, 20 to 45 mile an hour winds, and very heavy snows, and that's on normal winter days. I have a 2022 Gladiator, Rubicon with the normal removal hard top and I feel much more secure with the extra protection of the hard top !! I've been out driving in some pretty nasty weather, I was used to driving my Ford, Expeditions in the winter and they were like tanks compared to the Jeep. Right now I have only 2,700 miles on the jeep and I am anxious to see what this winter will bring.

    On my gladiator I added a 2” lift with 35” tires and it looks great. I think a 3.5 lift with the 37” tires would look great. I use my front camera all the time, what a nice feature.

    • @JoeLSoL
      @JoeLSoL 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alpha Bruh A lift is like a bra size, the bigger the bra size, the bigger the boob could fit. The lift kits come in different sizes such as 2,3,4, 6 inch. The bigger or taller the lift size in inches, the bigger tire fits such as 35, 37, 40 inch tires. I hope 🤞 that helps.

    • @JoeLSoL
      @JoeLSoL 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alpha Bruh you’re welcome lol, I had a 4 inch lift on my 2007 jku with 35 inch tires and it looked aggressive, I think you’re making the right choice. I’m on the fence to get a JT Gladiator and doing the same thing, it seems most are lifting the Gladiator 2 inches. The sport s gladiators are coming down in price. I see them for $35 thousand now.

    • @JoeLSoL
      @JoeLSoL 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alpha Bruh I think they’ve been always so so. I had the older 205 horsepower engine in the 2007 Jeep I owned. I bought it brand new in 2007 and owned it till 2016. The only problem I had was in 2016 after 55 thousand miles needed a water pump and the dealership I sold it to said they had to replace the radiator. All I did was oil changes. Now since 2012 they have a new V6 pentastar engine which is known to be more reliable than the previous engine I had. Plus with the 2020 gladiators they added the new 8 speed automatic transmission which supposed to be pretty good. It’s not Toyota reliable but I feel it’s the type of truck you can keep forever and rebuild the engine if it goes bad or even put a hemi v8 later on. I heard the new eco Diesel engines 3.0 aren’t that good.

    • @JoeLSoL
      @JoeLSoL 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alpha Bruh I read somewhere online that the old Jeeps engines last around 200 thousand miles, as a matter of fact when you google “how long a Jeep engine lasts” it says well maintained newer Jeep is 400,000 miles. I hope it’s true. Fj cruisers are cool too but you can’t take off the roof. I have a Toyota Prius with over 192,000 miles just oil changes and gets 50-60 mpg but it’s not as fun as a Jeep gladiator with 35 inch tires and a lift.

    When I first got my JTR, I went with a 2.5" spacer lift (I was on a tight budget then) with 37x13.50's just to get it up in the air. And I can get about 3' of articulation stuffing the 37x13.50's with the sway bar disconnected. I will soon be swapping out the 2.5" spacer lift for an Evo Enforcer 2.5" Stage 2 Plus lift, that's sitting in my garage waiting for install. I should easily be able to get more than 3' of flex. Unless you plan on running larger than 37's in the future, no real need to go beyond a 2.5" to 3" lift.

    I have Milestar Patagonia 35 inch MTs, with the standard Gladiator Rubicon lift right now, with Diesel HD bronze 17 inch x 8.5 rims. Looking at these lifts: Rubicon Express has a 4.5 -5.5 inch lift coil springs, control arms, brake hose extensions, driveshaft, then add Bilstein 5160 reservoir shocks, or get the 4.5 or 6 inch EVO stage 4 plus lifts with the Bilstein reservoir shock or go with King reservoir shocks, through 4x4Parts.ca or with Northridge4x4.ca. Also if price is no object, a cool lift is the EVO coilover 6.5 inch Fusion Plus or their 4.5 inch EVO coilover fusion plus suspension lift through Northridge4x4.ca. Fabtech has a 5 inch crawler long arm kit with reservoir shocks. But I got to replace my windshield, add protective film to that windshield, and get the 4 Aux switches and a Genesis Offroad dual battery kit first. It's only money right!

    With the Rubicon version of the JT, I went with Claytons 2.5 overland lift. 3 inch in the front and 2 in the back. Very well made kit and very happy with it and their customer service is second to none. They have been making great lifts for the Jeeps for a long time and have been around. I actually haven't measured how much lift it gave me. I do have an aftermarket front stubby bumper and 10,000 pound winch on the front. Nothing heavy other then that. I will have to go out and measure it later today. Been about a month since install so it has had time to settle. I am running Fox shocks on mine. Not the stock but a longer version. I really like the ride of this thing compared to some of my older Jeeps. And the power is great. I got a Tazer JL Mini to change tire size programming and the speedometer is spot on. Anyways, I think a good 3 inch or so lift is perfect for the JT. I prefer to keep lift as low as possible to work good. Keeps police from hassling you as well to a point. Huge lift and tires sticking way out is a cop magnet in many areas. I went with +18 offset 17/8.5 wheels with mine. They stick out a bit. But not too much. Everyone who looks at it, even a police office at the coffee shop last week says it just "looks" right.

    Do you guys think it’s on to put 37’s on without no lift if I don’t go trail off-road much or at all? I like the stances look. I just don’t want any rubbing

    • @Casey250
      @Casey250  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Gladiator still only has a front spacer in it and it has come to many places with us. Nothing too crazy for trails but its very capable, biggest issue is dragging the trailer hitch and rear bumper.
