Can’t thank you enough for the time and knowledge you dump into this channel. I’ve only owned my Subie for about a year, but with your videos and guidance it has helped me in my aftermarket purchases and given me the confidence to do almost all of my mods myself. Once again, thank you!
When it comes to wastegate spring sizing you typically want to put in a size that is 60 percent of your target boost pressure that way when the tuner is adjusting your boost pressure it requires a larger percentage of duty cycle giving him better control. I.e. you don't want to add 5 percent and boost pressure rise 7 psi you want to add 20 percent and get 7 psi. Remember the tuner can double whatever the spring pressure is in the Wastegate.
I found this channel exactly when I needed it! All of the information I’ve been getting from you is going to help me turn my daily driver WRX into the car of my dreams!

So I'm going to be running twin GT35s on a 5.3 LS is 44 mm wastegates too big and 50 mm flow off valves mine is going to be a blow through setup and the max boost will probably be somewhere between 15 to 20 lb.

Quick question, I’m trying to put together a compound turbo and I’m thinking of running an internal wastegate on the smaller turbo but an external wastegate on the larger one, does that sound right or dumb? Great video and full of good knowledge 👍
Can we still do external wastegates even with green speed if you are still on Cobb’s tuning platform?? I need to know because I need that external wastegate life!
Doesn't the blow off valve do the same thing if you keep 25lbs springs if the turbo went past wouldn't the extra just bleed off when the spring opens up thus eliminating a need for a waste gate?.
A wastegate will lower turbo shaft speed, and controlling boost with a BOV leak will raise shaft speed at the same boost level. Not saying there aren't instances to do it, but not ideal for regular old boost control
Looking for some help, please… I have a stock turbo with the cobb off the shelf tune. What should my waist gate duty cycle be right now? I just read 0.00 for wastegate duty and I feel like I have some inconsistent boost going on.
