I have a 2019 m40i with about 51k miles on it. It's been the best, most reliable, fun car I've ever owned. I'm considering upgrading to a 2023 before they stop making them. They want a lot of $$ to move up 4 years, so I may just wait and buy a used 2023 in a couple of years.

So, I have an X3M Comp and my mom has an X3 M40. The one I would skip is the X3M non-comp. If you're going to have the stiff ride of the M, you may as well get the real S58 (mine dyno'd at 545bhp), not the detuned one. I love the ride of the X3 M40, but my X3MC destroys it. That said, the speed of the Comp can sneak up on you so quickly, you have to be on your game. And, it will scare the hell out of your passengers...something about being higher up.
I took delivery of my '23 M40i in December, my third BMW since 2011, and it's a blast to drive on the winding country roads where I live.
