I completely agree with your take on N64 Rainbow Road. If I were writing the script, I would have said "The course is extremely long and boring, and then there's two more laps." No course should exceed three minutes on 150cc, but this one is six minutes of wide turns and zero challenge
@@BradfortBottlenose Although, while people will agree that the original was _FAR_ too long, a lot of people ironically think the 8 (Deluxe) remake is _too_ short, and think it should be maybe 2 laps. The average time for all courses, is 02:04.843. However, if you were to treat N64 Rainbow Road as a 1 lap course (which it technically is), but then look at the individual lap times of other courses, excluding Mount Wario and Big Blue for obvious reasons (i.e. they're point to point, and not laps), N64 Rainbow is _by far_ the longest course. How much longer? Well a single circuit of N64 Rainbow Road is 01:33.981 for the Staff Ghost. The next longest, is Waluigi Pinball, at only 0:52.150. That's just over _40 seconds_ shorter. Infact, N64 Rainbow Road, is apparently so much longer, that only _two_ laps of N64 Rainbow Road, which would be 03:07.962, is still longer than all _3_ laps of Waluigi Pinball (02:36.450), but more than 30 seconds. Of course, there have been many courses with a total time of over 3 minutes. Wii Bowser's Castle from Mario Kart Wii has a staff ghost time of more than 03:20.xxx or something IIRC. So basically, N64 Rainbow Road is too short for 1 lap, but _almost_ too long for 2 laps... and of course, 3 laps, would put it at 04:41.943 -- which of course is stupidly long.... but still much much much shorter than the original 6-7 minutes.
It's pretty clear we're never getting another mario kart considering after the booster course pass, we have new characters that are leaked to be coming to mk8D
I didn’t agree with much of this list (Especially yoshi circuit) And I agree with N64 rainbow road. I’m so glad someone mentioned Excitebike arena. Everyone would pick it over bangers like mount Wario or dragon driftway and I’m completely puzzled and don’t know why
I think it's because the Excitebike track is very easy to get through in comparison to others. Could be those players really love how quickly that track can be completed. I feel that there should be a cooldown system. Like, X track can only be played every 10 minutes. Or X track can be used 3 times per online session. Or something. A way to limit tracks from being suggested too often, too frequently could help make online race modes feel fresh.
I feel like wanting N64 Wario Stadium remade even though it is boring isn't the track being overrated, but just people wanting it to be enhanced from being boring. Like how most GBA tracks like Snow Land and Mario Circuit were boring and they did enhancements like lifting to stage in the air or giving it a visual makeover to look almost non identical to its first appearance like Ribbon Road
The biggest problem with N64 Rainbow Road in both iterations is that they missed the mark in terms of the perfect length and challenge. It should be two laps around, with the second lap having more obstacles, and all railings fallen off, which would make the course more dangerous.
I agree with every pick here except for Yoshi Circuit and N64 Rainbow Road, but I think that you should go into a bit more depth about what aspects of the track design you like and dislike rather than just calling them boring or generic. My argument in favor of Yoshi Circuit for example would be that not all Circuit tracks are inherently bad and YC has lots of interesting turns and corners to drift around to keep you on your toes. It's really satisfying to drive IMO, especially in 8D even if you completely ignore the Yoshi theme. I actually agree with you on Coconut Mall. It's a good track but I don't know that it deserves the popularity it has obtained; a lot of the driving especially the escalators can feel really jank on Wii with how sometimes they haphazardly shoot you into the ceiling and 8D"s soulless remake that removes them and replaces them with ramps is even worse. But yeah, I'd suggest directing your gripes at specific parts of the track design in future videos of this vein.
To add to the N64 Rainbow Road point...F-Zero X did that course way better in my opinion. The original N64 Rainbow Road was really long, and had a threat of Chain Chomp. I'll grant that the road was at least a bit wider. But the one in F-Zero X was a lot shorter and no less difficult. All they did was add some No-Wall sections. Mario Kart 8's take on N64 Rainbow Road is a bit of a happy marriage between tradition and innovation. The track makes more use of antigravity but is basically a 3-checkpoint race. It works a bit better because the track is long to begin with. And for the Excitebike Course, I think I find it hard to disagree with your thoughts. Only thing I can say is, maybe they could have used one of the tracks from Excitebike 64. Those are usually a lot more varied and require more strategy than "use lots of tricks."
The only reason I want to see N64 Wario Stadium to return is because I want to race on the track with cheap Jpegs of Wario everywhere on modern hardware. No course says "Graphic design is my passion" quite like that one
With wave 3 of the booster course, I think maple treeway falls here with mall and gorge. These are the only 3 Wii tracks that have appeared in 4 consecutive games being Wii, 7, 8, and tour. With as much as I like these courses, I would have much rather seen other tracks that still haven't gotten any treatment
Koopa Cape isn't out yet, but it has been datamined for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Like Coconut Mall, Mushroom Gorge and Maple Treeway, it was remade in Mario Kart 7.
Yup, I can agree with 64’s Rainbow Road. Don’t get me wrong has a very catchy and great music (the original version of course), but I feel the music has also contributed to making it overrated because of how many times a certain melody riff from it is re-used (GCN and 3DS’ rainbow roads from what i recall) all have a riff from the tune in it, if you listen carefully.
In response to the first course.... in the original N64 Wario Stadium is indeed boring. It's the second longest course in the game. However, _IF_ it was to return in another game, I have a feeling it would be made shorter (either by reducing it to just 1 or 2 laps, or generally downsizing the whole course), or at least more interesting, a bit like how N64 Rainbow Road in the original is boring, but in the remake in 8 Deluxe, it has a neon train dropping coins, wavy road, and some anti-gravity twists.
The most underrated tracks are the Tour city tracks. Sadly some stupid people instinctively dislike them coming to the booster course pass because they don’t know what to make of “mobile game” tracks coming to 8 Deluxe.
Good video! I strongly agree with some of your choices but disagree with others lol. I love the long and grind-y tracks like Wario Stadium and N64 Rainbow Road, as I just love driving on them. Similarly, I love Yoshi Circuit because it’s so satisfying to race on. Sure, not very interesting, but a great track layout. I also love Mario Circuits 3 & 4 for the layout, super fun to drive on. Especially MC3 in MKWii I agree that Coconut Mall is overrated. That music gets annoying quickly and it’s just a mall and is otherwise uninteresting. SNES Rainbow Road is lucky it’s the first Rainbow Road because otherwise it wouldn’t be popular. And it’s stupidly difficult in SMK. Baby Park is good in Double Dash as a chaotic course, but I personally hate it. And Excitebike Arena is the laziest course in the series in my opinion. It’s just jumps. In a straight line. And they don’t add anything interesting. That’s it. Overall, loved the video! 👍
I agree with most of these, but Excitebike Arena caught me off guard. Didn’t know that one was overrated. I have a soft spot for Yoshi Circuit personally. Mainly because Yoshi is my favourite Mario character. :3
Excitebike Arena is terrible in my opinion. It is so incredibly boring. Probably the worst track in the game. Yoshi Circuit actually has an interesting layout, even ignoring that it's an outline of Yoshi.
I have a lot of gripes with this video, but putting Yoshi Circuit on here is unforgivable. Like you put Waluigi Pinball because the track layout is boring, but YC has one of the best track layouts ever, and not just because it’s an outline of Yoshi, it’s genuinely super fun to drive and has 2 awesome shortcuts.
In my opinion, I actually like the long nature of N64 Rainbow Road. For how long the track is, everyone has a shot at winning. If you want to make the track shorter, it is really fun trying to jump different parts. I was really disappointed when Mario Kart 8 turned it into a section course as well as making it impossible to jump different sections of track. N64 Rainbow Road on Mario Kart 8 ends too soon for my liking and if it was 3 laps, it could be my favorite course in the game. However I understand why others find it boring.
I think I'd swap Yoshi Circuit with Waluigi Pinball and I'd also add Mushroom Gorge, I love all these tracks but they definitely do get sucked off by fans
- Waluigi Pinball and - Mushroom George are still my favourite tracks - The Rainbow Road from Nr. 4 is one of my favourites in MK8DX. I think that the Mario Kart where that track comes from, sucks whole for it's unspectacular design and limitations - Excite Bike Arena makes somehow fun, and you can shortcut on the offroad using mushrooms and stars what I personally like The rest is more than relatable especially Baby Park, what feels like a big game of Roulette with a bit of hope inbetween to make the player play the track to the end without rage quitting.
Damn you can shortcut on the offroad with mushrooms? That's so unique and special! You can only do it on, like, 95% of Mario Kart tracks!! Excitebike Arena is a terrible track. Probably the worst track in the game.
you forgot DK mountain, that one is insanely overrated, it's a good track but some people say it's the best mario kart track of all time and... just no. same goes for maple treeway
You can finish N64 rainbow road in 4 minutes instead of 6 if you do a nice skip after the finish line 3 times, but it doesn't change from the fact that 6 minutes casually is very long especially when it's just a long rainbow road with fences.
Baby Park and Yoshi Circuit being in 8 was simply Nintendo apologizing for completely ruining them in DS. I’ll also make the same argument about 7 ruining the Wii tracks (even though Koopa Cape was even more butchered in the BCP).
I so agree with Baby Park and Excitebike Arena. While they may be many people’s favorites they are two of my absolute least favorites. I agree that I don’t care about the chaotic items on baby park. I can see why people like it but just not me. The layout is so boring to me and i like tracks with dynamic layouts and big turns and a creative approach to the track design. Maple Treeway and Mount Wario being two of my favorite tracks of all time. Excitebike arena is just plain boring for me. The ramps add nothing, there’s no crazy turns or glider jumps to make.
I agree with like half the things here, but I mostly disagree on some aspects. The main thing in mario kart is drifting. It's the most fun to pull off and greatly rewards you, so I find courses like yoshi circuit and the first half waluigi pinball to be extremely fun in that aspect. Another thing I define mario kart as chaotic, so I absolutely like the randomness of baby park and the pinball in waluigi pinball.
Not sure what my tops would be but some tracks I find overrated are Baby Park (I agree with like all of your opinions on this one) Excitebike Arena (this track is actually a very technical track if you watch the mk8d time trials but idk how to do them which is why I hate the track. Either way I'd still hate it because it's just an oval with tricks. From a casual standpoint, yeah I still hate it) Rainbow Road 64 Waluigi Pinball (still good tho) Yoshi Circuit Sunshine Airport Electrodrome Rainbow Road SNES Ribbon Road (the original version, not 8) Wuhu Island and Mountain (I do like them for the Wii Sports references but driving on them is very boring)
Coconut mall being well know to non mari kart fan is pretty logic. Why would they care about a good track, they just know the top 3 "hardest". And the même ones. The wierd or banger music, a F ing mall, and mario kart fan often talking about it because it's good. As a non mario kart fan it really stands out.
To prefer the DS version of Baby Park (in your opinion) is outrageous (in my opinion) but overall lots of fair selections and a very well put-together video. Great work dude love the content 🫡
I respect your opinion on the tracks, but I wanna comment this just for fun 10 - I have never played it 9 - Disagree. I don’t usually see a lot of people talking about it even though it’s a fun track 8 - Agree. The music and the aesthetic of the track are incomparable, but actually playing it is so tedious 7 - Agree. The argument you presented convinced me, like why Nintendo would just copy and paste a track? (Booster Course Pass is quaking) 6 - Disagree. I don’t usually see people hyping this course as much as it deserves! 5 - Agree. Waluigi Pinball deserves all the hype it gets because of its music and exclusive gimmicks. 4 - Agree. Back then, the inclusion of this track in MK8 made like this track. However, I would’ve liked that they instead would’ve bring back MK7 or MKDS Rainbow Road 3 - Agree. But I still like it because it’s a box of surprises. Even the worst player can manage to get on top 2 - Disagree. In fact, I think a lot of people dislike this track. Not me tho, I like it for being a box of surprises just like Baby Park 1 - I have played the MK8 version, but not the N64 version. However, from what I’ve seen, they are so different from each other so I’ll stay neutral
I agree with Mushroom Gorge, Coconut Mall, Waluigi Pinball and Baby Park. I'd personally throw Mount Wario in the mix too. If not for the name literally having Wario in it, I'd never think that was a Wario course. Beyond that, it's just so... plain to look at. Nothing screams Wario other than the Wario Dam and the visuals, while impressive like all other Wii U tracks, just make it look like such a standard snowy mountain. DK Summit was a bit more fun and it also had the same ski/snowboarding mountain idea.
Reacting as I go (spoilers): N64 Wario Stadium: yeah I agree Mushroom Gorge: it's literally the best Mushroom Cup track from Mario Kart ever Coconut Mall: I love MKW but I agree that Coconut Mall is overrated SNES Mario Circuits: yeah but at least Mario Circuit 2 in 7 was good GCN Yoshi Circuit: agreed DS Waluigi Pinball: absolutely not it deserves all its popularity, but the remakes are worse than the original (THIS MAN DID NOT JUST CALL PINBALLS MARBLES) SNES Rainbow Road: I don't get why it's remade so often, it's too basic (REMAKE WII RAINBOW ROAD ALREADY) GCN Baby Park: FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE AGREES OML I HATE BABY PARK SO MUCH Excitebike Arena: No it's way too simple, I completely agree with you on this one N64 Rainbow Road: You spend 3-4 minutes on 150cc racing through... and then you have 2 laps left TL;DR: I agree with all of these except Waluigi Pinball and Mushroom Gorge
I think a big downfall of a lot of the updated SNES tracks is that some of the remakes do the bare minimum. I kinda understand it from the perspective of these being originally designed with IRL kart racing in mind, but I just don't think that the flat aesthetic makes for interesting courses, especially when most Mario Kart games have made a point to adding version-specific gimmicks and features to remade levels. When the most that has been done to the track is adding boost pads and glider sections here and there, it feels as though it was just as lazy and boring for them to recreate as it is for players to race on. The fact that Mario Kart Tour has the most interesting remakes of Mario Circuit while having the least movement and exploration options speaks VOLUMES to how underwhelmingliy that course has been redone over the years. I will say, however: SNES RR in Mario Kart 8 is really fun because of the danger of falling off, the short race time, and the close-quarters of it all. Not to mention, the Thwomps periodically creating waves that you can take advantage of by boosting off them makes it a fairly fast-paced level. Hopefully this trend of playing to the game's physics and features continues to spawn more interesting SNES course remakes on par with the other remakes we've seen over the years.
Opynyonz 10:the ONLY one,wow! 9:it's a C+(average) 8:the cars suck lol 7:it's the worst 6:the 1st i played(other than snes) in ds,i like the circuit 5:true true true,it's a B-(pinballs not marbles) 4:ew 3:the only thing good is the items,if u don't get good items it's B O R I N G 2:don't think about it 1:zzzzzzzzz oh the lap ended?,cool
Hey Good to see another video of yours First of all congrats on 700 subs About the list I mostly agree However I think N64 rainbow road isn't highly rated by the players because of the track itself but more so because of the how players experience it, as the soundtrack and visuals are great. Baby Park is only good for the goomboss bossfight in Ds in my opinion And waluigi pinball could have been cooler as a battle track (the end section but bigger) Anyways keep up the great work mate
I hate it, that every youtuber and person says like, ohh this course is so good at N64 Rainbow Road. Because nothing happens on this course. I know, most people like it because of nostalgica, but I don't care about this. This track is just bad. I do like the MK8 version, but the N64 one is just really bad.
I disagree with your take on excite bike arena, I have never gotten a lobby that chooses it that much, so I play it the perfect amount of times so I don’t get bored of it. And I really like the simplistic course style. Where it’s simple but not so simple so it gets as bad as baby park. It’s also a good callback to the classic game, “Excite Bike”. But it’s shortened so it fits into Mario Kart perfectly. It also doesn’t get analyzed too much, because of it’s simplicity. But it should, because it’s also a personal statement about the company itself.
maple treeway is a cool Wii track but :} i would love to see moon view highway in Mario kart 8 booster course pass tho... it was a cool track and I think it would be cool if they added anti grav or something to it
If you ask me, Daisy Cruiser is by far the most overrated track (at least out of ones I’ve played). Other courses I would say are overrated are N64 Bowser's Castle, Kalimari Desert, DK's Jungle Parkway, Hyrule Circuit, Yoshi's Island, and (to a lesser extent) Sunshine Airport.
I agree with your top 3 and also the 2 wii tracks you put in. I am also just so tired of coconut mall mushroom gorge. I disagree heavily with most of the rest of the list
My opinions: 10: I don't really have an opinion here, as I've never played MK64, never mind this track. I'd really like to see it updated though. 9: Perfectly good course, but deserving 2 remakes, (3 including Tour) back-to-back? Not really. 8: Yes! Finally someone else who finds this course overrated! This course is always chosen in MK8 DLX online, and it's gotten annoying. 7: Not a hard pick. This track is boring AF. Nintendo, if you love SNES Mario Circuits so much, then at least give the fourth one it's time in the spotlight! 6: Another one I find pretty boring. Wait, why is there an angry mob outside my house? 5: I love this track's recent glow-up, but it's still more of a B-tier course IMHO. It's good, but overrated. 4: Yeah, SNES RR is remade too much, but it's an easy A-tier for me in MK8, so I'll forgive it. 3: Yeah, overrated, but I enjoy the occasional play online. 2: Yes yes yes yesyes yeeess! YES YES YES YESYES YEEESS! 1. I get it the reason of it being too long, although I think MK8 shortened it too much for how well they remade it. It should have been 2 laps IMHO. So yeah, I agree with all of these picks being at least a little overrated, accept N64 Wario Stadium which I can't speak for.
At first I agreed with you, then I did an immediate 180 after yoshi circuit and waluigi pinball. I think you are forgetting how to have fun with Mario Kart !
I disagreed with a few of these, but baby park I am 100% behind you on. It is the worst course in the series and it isn’t even close. I do not see why people enjoy that chaos. Because when you play a COMPETETIVE RACING GAME, you want to, you know, WIN. In Baby Park, your chances of winning are based entirely on luck. And the fact that you can just get pumped in 1st by people from 12th is bullsh*t. The layout sucks. Every element of the course feels like it’s trying to make you wanna commit die. And to all of the insane people who like it, I hope you enjoy your future gambling addictions!!!
About Wario Stadium from N64, the reason I would like to see a remake is to see what Nintendo could do to improve it! Great video and great list man! I respect 100% your opinion!😉
Half of waluigi pinball is just boring. No shortcuts, just a road with an annoying pinball. The start is good and the end is good if you don't get hit. Call it a skill issue, I don't care
Also Waluigi pinball is very overrated imo. No shortcuts at all and a long track. The colors and music are great. I would rather have seen airship fortess in the booster pack. It was already remade in Mk7 but I love that track and would love to play it on the big screen
i can't believe how a take on Yoshi circuit could annoy me. I do agree with mostly everything here except yoshi circuit. Let's use a track that you enjoy like moonview highway. Moonview highway is also just a road and when you get to the city section its just one straight way. Sure there's cars, but that shouldn't be the only reason why. Anyways, great video and other than yoshi circuit I agree with everything.
5:47 I mean, those people really aren’t wrong though ? The short length and simple design of the track is its whole purpose, and a great pace breaker to the other tracks - if you don’t like that, then it’s your problem, and making fun of everyone else just because you disagree is just petty and snarky 😬
I honestly agree with every part of the list, i also would've added GBA Bowser Castle. It's one of those tracks Nintendo has been obsessed with since Mario Kart DS and it's annoying and boring the majority of the times
if they brought back wario stadium it would honestly just be another excitebike arena, which is already pretty boring. Also, I would put mount wario on the list. It's really good and one of my favourite maps but it gets picked in online. every. single. TIME.
I entirely agree with you on Mushroom Gorge. It's not a bad track by any means, but fans and Nintendo act like it's one of the best tracks in the franchise even though it's pretty much just a circuit track but with a moderately interesting bouncy mushroom gimmick. The cave section is fun though, I will admit.
As far as Wario Stadium and N64 Rainbow Road (aside from it being too long) are concerned, I will always have a soft spot for courses that have basically no obstacles/gimmicks because it forces the players to rely on their own racing skills rather than the possibility that the other players might get hit by fire bar. It's kind of like playing Final Destination in Smash Bros.
I love 64 rainbow road? Yes. Is it because of the track? No. Is it because if the music? Yes. Would it still be one of my favorite if the music wasn’t there? No.
Gosh, I had never seen someone that put some courses that I liked to be on this list, but hey, I can handle your throughs on some of these courses. Because I liked some of them .
I feel like some of these picks are a little off base. Wario Stadium absolutely shouldn’t be here. People have been requesting it, but it is literally the only 64 track yet to be remade. I just feel like it’s a bit of a stretch when there are so many other course that could be argued as overrated. I also feel like a course being remade multiple times shouldn’t count that much against it. I could get it with something like Mario Circuit 3, but Baby Park and Yoshi Circuit debuted on the DS and didn’t do those tracks complete justice. Practically every SNES track got screwed in Super Circuit. Also Waluigi Pinball is a bit too high. It ain’t even my favorite but I feel like that course deserves the high praise it gets.
I never got the hype for Excitebike either. 2 looong straights and 2 corners... it is not only boring as hell, there is also nooo way to improve your position by any kind of skill
I know this will most likely not change your opinion, but let me give my case for Rainbow Road (N64). You have played through every track in the game, and have gotten through bowser castle. Now you enter the final track, a celebration, every character is celebrated with a neon depiction of their face in the sky. It is a long rainbow road, and once someone is ahead the will only be stopped by the chain Chomps on the road. Your other option is to take a risk and go for the track jump, it was in a nintendo power magazine so I will count it as a part of the track. I enjoy the track because there is no gimmick, it is just a race between you and the other racers. Also the music and asthetic is very nice.
The new N64 Rainbow Road should have been shortened or made 1 lap not both. I honestly think that is why I don’t like either version. The original is just a long road you can’t fall off and really annoying chain chomps. The new one you can fall off and would be fun if the track’s 3 laps was long as the original’s one lap. The original’s music however is not overrated.
No baby park is actually good because the items make it chaotic. Especially on 200cc in mk8 it’s wild. Also the ds is the worst version because it’s boring. Also Waluigi pinball is picked way too much online xD
GBA Bowser Castle 3 is overrated in my opinion, everyone chooses it in MKW Online, to the point that I just start to follow for no relevant reason and play countless times.
Cheeseland is the most overrated to me, I hate it with a passion. I don’t find it enjoyable at all to race on, so I find it overrated since it seems like a fairly well liked track.
I think Waluigi pinball is not overrated because it has a cool gimmick throughout the course and is themed very well. It also is pretty creative layout, the only thing I dislike is when I get shocked in the cannon and lakitu picks me up for years. I would have to agree with you on coconut mall, mainly just because of how popular it is. Same thing with mushroom gorge, as it is too popular for how good of a track it is. I like excitebike arena and baby park mainly just for the memes. Snes rainbow road overrated, but I do agree with it coming back in mario kart games a lot because it was the first mario kart rainbows road and needs some recognition. I like N64 rainbow road because it is a fun track to drive and time trial on, and I kind of wish it was 3 laps just because it would take a long time to drive on. I like Yoshi circuit because it has a cool gimmick and is fun to drive on with all its twists and turns. I like all Mario circuit _ because they are a transformation of time. I have never played Wairo stadium, so I don’t have an opinion on it.
I completely agree with your take on N64 Rainbow Road. If I were writing the script, I would have said "The course is extremely long and boring, and then there's two more laps." No course should exceed three minutes on 150cc, but this one is six minutes of wide turns and zero challenge
meh n64 RR still good and should be long
Agreed. Glad they cut down its length in 8.
@@BradfortBottlenose Although, while people will agree that the original was _FAR_ too long, a lot of people ironically think the 8 (Deluxe) remake is _too_ short, and think it should be maybe 2 laps.
Here's a list of all the normal (150cc) staff ghost times for all the courses, in order from longest to shortest:
DS Waluigi Pinball = 02:36.450
Toad Harbor = 02:29.282
GCN Dry Dry Desert = 02:26.614

As you can see, N64 Rainbow Road is the 3rd shortest course in total.
@@scmtuk3662 Still, a long, uneventful 3 lap race is just not fun IMO. Sorry.
>No course should exceed three minutes on 150cc
Points to Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road in Double Dash and Wii. No Time Trials don't count
Did… did you just call a pinball a marble?
Most of these are in MK8, so I think the main problem is that we need more tracks. Or, hear me out, a new Mario Kart?
fuck i hope we get a new one soon, its been ages now
@@bradenferris It'll be awhile. All the DLC tracks have to come out first
So true. The switch technically still doesn't have its own mariokart. MK8 is now eight years old
It's pretty clear we're never getting another mario kart considering after the booster course pass, we have new characters that are leaked to be coming to mk8D
@@Ibalistic_hedge Bro these leakers are on the grind nonstop, I've been following it and even I haven't heard that. Which characters are coming?
Yoshi circuit in my opinion is a great track, it's one of those skill-based tracks that doesn't *have* to be especially over-the-top to be engaging.
And it's the only N64 track that hasn't been remade yet.
I hope it comes in the mk6dx dlc
Since when were the GBA tracks not massacred in the BCP? eh?
Id like to see why u dissagree with n64 rainbow (just asking no trouble or anything)
Yoshi circuit has a ton of shortcuts as well making it fun
Don’t worry, I also don’t like Excitebike Arena. I’m with ya, buddy!
DK Summit would be nice to have on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, honestly an underrated Wii track.
@@harrybest2041 almost isn't good enough. Until it does come out, it's stuck at almost
EXCITEBIKE ARENA IS SO BORING!!!!! its such a chore to play i don’t understand why everyone chooses it.
At that point, just make a completely new track with the Wario Stadium theme. Which they did. And it rules.
The most underrated tracks are the Tour city tracks. Sadly some stupid people instinctively dislike them coming to the booster course pass because they don’t know what to make of “mobile game” tracks coming to 8 Deluxe.
people who say that don't appreciate what it is. Surely they have not even played 4 mario kart
Most people who say they hate the tour tracks just hate the game. People like that are so stupid.
Coconut Mall and Mushroom Gorge were both in 7, 8 deluxe, and Tour
this dude forgot 7 exists💀💀
Especially MC3 in MKWii
I agree that Coconut Mall is overrated.
@@triple7marc I agree.
Unpopular opinion: ds rainbow road is severely overrated
I have a lot of gripes with this video, but putting Yoshi Circuit on here is unforgivable. Like you put Waluigi Pinball because the track layout is boring, but YC has one of the best track layouts ever, and not just because it’s an outline of Yoshi, it’s genuinely super fun to drive and has 2 awesome shortcuts.
I personally agree with most of the choices. I've always hated Mushroom Gorge due to the jumps.
Sounds like le skill issue
@@madmonty4761 literally, the jumps is what makes mushroom gorge special and they are very fun if you have half a brain and can control where you go
In my opinion, I actually like the long nature of N64 Rainbow Road.
Dude think wario stadium and mario circuit1 are overrated 🥲
MK7 Rainbow road is the most overrated one
I think I'd swap Yoshi Circuit with Waluigi Pinball and I'd also add Mushroom Gorge, I love all these tracks but they definitely do get sucked off by fans
- Waluigi Pinball and
- Mushroom George are still my favourite tracks
- The Rainbow Road from Nr. 4 is one of my favourites in MK8DX. I think that the Mario Kart where that track comes from, sucks whole for it's unspectacular design and limitations
- Excite Bike Arena makes somehow fun, and you can shortcut on the offroad using mushrooms and stars what I personally like
The rest is more than relatable especially Baby Park, what feels like a big game of Roulette with a bit of hope inbetween to make the player play the track to the end without rage quitting.
Damn you can shortcut on the offroad with mushrooms? That's so unique and special! You can only do it on, like, 95% of Mario Kart tracks!!
Excitebike Arena is a terrible track. Probably the worst track in the game.
Mushroom George? 🤣 💀
@@AzureSwiper lol
you forgot DK mountain, that one is insanely overrated, it's a good track but some people say it's the best mario kart track of all time and... just no. same goes for maple treeway
N64 Rainbow Road isn’t overrated. It’s actually overhated.
I guess you could say it went from loved to overrated to overhated?
We can all agree that N64 Rainbow Road has the best music in Mario Kart
Not sure what my tops would be but some tracks I find overrated are
Baby Park (I agree with like all of your opinions on this one)
Excitebike Arena (this track is actually a very technical track if you watch the mk8d time trials but idk how to do them which is why I hate the track. Either way I'd still hate it because it's just an oval with tricks. From a casual standpoint, yeah I still hate it)
Rainbow Road 64
Waluigi Pinball (still good tho)
Yoshi Circuit
Sunshine Airport
Electrodrome
Rainbow Road SNES
Ribbon Road (the original version, not 8)
Wuhu Island and Mountain (I do like them for the Wii Sports references but driving on them is very boring)
Cool video idea
Edit: You made me angry with the 2 Wii tracks and #5 xD
Exitebike Arena is the definition of raw dopamine
And that's why it's my favorite track in the series
Coconut mall being well know to non mari kart fan is pretty logic.
Why would they care about a good track, they just know the top 3 "hardest". And the même ones. The wierd or banger music, a F ing mall, and mario kart fan often talking about it because it's good.
As a non mario kart fan it really stands out.
Waluigi pinball isn’t about the layout, its about the looks.
Excitebike Arena is the wort course in 8 topping Toad Circuit and MC3

Yes
@@huefelix556 meh there's worse excitebike makes sense

To prefer the DS version of Baby Park (in your opinion) is outrageous (in my opinion) but overall lots of fair selections and a very well put-together video. Great work dude love the content 🫡
I respect your opinion on the tracks, but I wanna comment this just for fun
10 - I have never played it
9 - Disagree. I don’t usually see a lot of people talking about it even though it’s a fun track
8 - Agree. The music and the aesthetic of the track are incomparable, but actually playing it is so tedious
7 - Agree. The argument you presented convinced me, like why Nintendo would just copy and paste a track? (Booster Course Pass is quaking)
6 - Disagree. I don’t usually see people hyping this course as much as it deserves!
5 - Agree. Waluigi Pinball deserves all the hype it gets because of its music and exclusive gimmicks.
4 - Agree. Back then, the inclusion of this track in MK8 made like this track. However, I would’ve liked that they instead would’ve bring back MK7 or MKDS Rainbow Road
3 - Agree. But I still like it because it’s a box of surprises. Even the worst player can manage to get on top
2 - Disagree. In fact, I think a lot of people dislike this track. Not me tho, I like it for being a box of surprises just like Baby Park
1 - I have played the MK8 version, but not the N64 version.
DK Summit was a bit more fun and it also had the same ski/snowboarding mountain idea.
love the music in mushroom gorge
Mount Wario is the only great Nitro course in 8DX and I will die on this hill.
bowsers castle, shy guy falls and cloudtop cruise all slap.
Reacting as I go (spoilers):
N64 Wario Stadium: yeah I agree
Mushroom Gorge: it's literally the best Mushroom Cup track from Mario Kart ever
Coconut Mall: I love MKW but I agree that Coconut Mall is overrated
SNES Mario Circuits: yeah but at least Mario Circuit 2 in 7 was good
GCN Yoshi Circuit: agreed
DS Waluigi Pinball: absolutely not it deserves all its popularity, but the remakes are worse than the original (THIS MAN DID NOT JUST CALL PINBALLS MARBLES)
SNES Rainbow Road: I don't get why it's remade so often, it's too basic (REMAKE WII RAINBOW ROAD ALREADY)
GCN Baby Park: FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE AGREES OML I HATE BABY PARK SO MUCH
Excitebike Arena: No it's way too simple, I completely agree with you on this one
N64 Rainbow Road: You spend 3-4 minutes on 150cc racing through... and then you have 2 laps left
TL;DR: I agree with all of these except Waluigi Pinball and Mushroom Gorge

Hey
Good to see another video of yours
First of all congrats on 700 subs
About the list I mostly agree
However I think N64 rainbow road isn't highly rated by the players because of the track itself but more so because of the how players experience it, as the soundtrack and visuals are great.
Baby Park is only good for the goomboss bossfight in Ds in my opinion
And waluigi pinball could have been cooler as a battle track (the end section but bigger)
Anyways keep up the great work mate
I hate it, that every youtuber and person says like, ohh this course is so good at N64 Rainbow Road. Because nothing happens on this course. I know, most people like it because of nostalgica, but I don't care about this. This track is just bad. I do like the MK8 version, but the N64 one is just really bad.
This is why i like Nathaniel Bandy. He loves that track but he knows it sucks.
I'm with you on N64 Rainbow Road and Yoshi Circuit. Yoshi Circuit is cute conceptually, but the angles on those turns just don't work.
As a non-fan of Mario Kart, this video speaks to me on a personal (and can only do it more of it were more than a top 10 list).
I think Excitebike Arena is the most fun track on 200cc
Finaly someone else who thinks waluigi pinball and exitebike arena is overrsted as ******
maple treeway is a cool Wii track but :} i would love to see moon view highway in Mario kart 8 booster course pass tho... it was a cool track and I think it would be cool if they added anti grav or something to it

Sidney sprint is absolutely the most overrated mario kart track of all-time.

6:28 Your not alone. I don’t like Excitebike Arena either.
“Who doesn’t know how to do a trick off a jump?” My dad.
My opinions:
10: I don't really have an opinion here, as I've never played MK64, never mind this track.
L
What do you mean?
I agree with all of this, Waluigi Pinball, Baby Park and Excitbike are all bad tracks that are overrated
I wouldn’t say they’re bad. But definitely overrated
I agree with like half or these, especially Mushroom Gorge, nostalgic but a meh course imo
6:01 you did not just say that 😂😂😂
Don’t worry, I respect your opinion.
Also Waluigi pinball is very overrated imo. No shortcuts at all and a long track. The colors and music are great. I would rather have seen airship fortess in the booster pack. It was already remade in Mk7 but I love that track and would love to play it on the big screen
disagree with most of it, but im very curious to know what are the best tracks in your opinion after that list
I find Mount Wario incredibly overrated, I guess I see the appeal but I just see it as Budget DK Summit.
i can't believe how a take on Yoshi circuit could annoy me.
Wow, I found the most pretentious Mario Kart video on TH-cam
I love mushroom gorge and coconut mall. The two of them were def my favorites around 2008-2010. But jesus overrated as hell
Baby Park on DS only had 5 laps
baby park and yoshi circuit debuted on the gamecube, not ds
I also prefer Dry Dry Ruins and Moonview Highway over Mushroom Gorge
I also prefer Wii's Rainbow Road over 7's one
The new N64 Rainbow Road should have been shortened or made 1 lap not both. I honestly think that is why I don’t like either version. The original is just a long road you can’t fall off and really annoying chain chomps. The new one you can fall off and would be fun if the track’s 3 laps was long as the original’s one lap.
The original’s music however is not overrated.
I completely disagree with Excitebike Arena. It should honestly be number 1.
No baby park is actually good because the items make it chaotic. Especially on 200cc in mk8 it’s wild. Also the ds is the worst version because it’s boring. Also Waluigi pinball is picked way too much online xD
But that's problem, a track should be good on its own and not because of items
i never even knew n64 wario stadium was liked, all ive ever heard of it was hate
“Just making sure I don’t fit in”
I think Waluigi pinball is not overrated because it has a cool gimmick throughout the course and is themed very well.
A good theme doesn't make a good course.
