- While some Mario Kart tracks have gotten a lot of recognition from both fans and Nintendo., especially Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8 tracks, some games and courses are more overlooked. In this video, I talk about what I think are the 10 most underrated tracks in the Mario Kart series.

I feel like toads factory should be included on the list of tracks Nintendo doesn’t pay more attention to. It’s my all time favorite track and I am really upset Nintendo doesn’t pay much attention to it. I would love if it came back in the 8 deluxe booster pass

Honestly I feel like it’s one of the most overrated in the series. The theme and everything is really good but fans just talk about it way to much and ignore some of the other amazing tracks Nintendo never brought back like dry dry ruins, moonview highway, rainbow road and daisy circuit, and those are just the ones from Wii, like Rosalinas ice world is 100% better imo, no hate to you I just feel like toads factory is a bit overrated
@@shiver7873 I agree that dry dry ruins and moon view highway are overlooked, but daisy circuit is my least favorite track of wii.

Toad's factory could come back in mk8 deluxe booster course pass but sadly no leaks have been found for it

I love Sherbet Land I often forget it’s not a popular course. It’s environment and it’s music is just so uplifting and cheerful!
Bone-Dry Dunes is definitely the most underrated course in the series, LIKE I DON’T GET WHY PEOPLE HATE IT. But it does feel amazing to hear other recognize the unnecessary hate for that track.
Moonview is an awesome track that’s really fun! Love the twist and turns while avoiding cars, and the theme slaps especially when entering the toll section of the track.
DS Mario Circuit is great and easily the best Mario Circuit. It being in the Star Cup let them make a super interesting layout and not dumb easy like Wiis verison.
YES WARIO SHIPYARD, it’s definitely my favorite 3DS track. Pin Pointed my exact thoughts on this one!
Mushroom City, I honestly love it a lot its my favorite double dash course, I love layout so much, pretty much 2 different routes intersecting is an awesome concept that’s rare for MK tracks!
Lakeside Park is my 2nd favorite super circuit track, it’s layout is super fun and that music hyped me up! Seeing what they did with riverside park makes me so excited to see what they’ll do with lakeside park in the future! (And yes Super Cirucit is so underrated, but this year we got 3 retros so I’m excited for the future of MKSC)
Having Wario Colosseum be the only 2 lap track in the series is cool. It’s such a chaotic track, it really should’ve been added to 8, I could see it having so much anti gravity!
Cheep Cheep Island is such a beauty, I love Sunset Tracks they always look incredible! Too bad it’s not looking like it’ll make the Pass, I would’ve thought they’d use the older Tour GBA retros like this and Sunset Wilds first. But hear we are with Sky Garden, Snow Land, and Boo Lake already in. And assuming there isn’t gonna be a GBA course in the rest of the waves, looking like Riverside Park is gonna take Cheep Cheep Islands spot. (Or even worse A Bowsers Castle)
Alright Sunset Wilds where do I begin, it’s my Favorite Mario kart course in the series. As I said earlier I love sunset tracks, but this one is different, it’s an amazing course where the Sun drops and the moon rises! Combine that with its incredible action packed theme and we’ve got a beautiful gem!
YES! Bone-Dry Dunes! Finally someone who agrees with me! (Not quite S-tier, but definitely A-tier IMHO.)
I think it gets so much hate for being a very slippery track, I just use off-road wheels as my standard.

GBA Rainbow Road should be #1. No one ever talks about that track.

YES! i'm so happy to see moonview highway in the list. i played most mario karts and can say that moonview highway has to be the best "city track" for many reasons. the envirement is really cool the tunnel section is also really cool and the music slaps.
I think it's so cool that GBA Cheep-Cheep Island, Sunset Wilds and Lakeside Park are in this lineup! And the things you said about Cheep-Cheep Island just so happen to be my exact same thoughts about the track! It would be amazing if Nintendo brings this one back to the BCP! Lakeside Park is also a very cool track, and I really like it because I have a soft spot for ''ancient dinosaur world'' themes, not in just videogames, but also in books I own. And IMO it is also a neat throwback to the famous kids' film franchise ''The Land Before Time''!

Bone Dry Dunes has the unfortunate situation of being in Mario Kart 8. The standard of quality for tracks in that game is so high that just being decent makes it look bad in comparison. Ice Ice Outpost gets the same treatment. Solid track but totally overlooked.
Always great to see other Super Circuit fans, and Cheep Cheep Island is my favorite beach track in the entire series

Ok where is 3DS Bowser's Castle? I think it is the single most underrated track in all of Mario Kart. It's an amazing track but almost no one talks about it. It is so underrated that it is just forgotten by most people, and that's probably why it didn't make it on this list.

GBA Luigi Circuit should get a remake in the style of 8's GBA Mario Circuit.
@@mariobroultimate1808 I actually disagree as I am not a fan of GBA Mario Circuit personally. I'd like them to just do it simple and flat with the puddles of water while just making the rain effects like 3DS Neo Bowser City and the stations in the background "3D-fied".
@@dg_777player5 Then that's just the DS remake with the background in 3D. Not very creative. Besides, is GBA Mario Circuit's change really that bad? It's just one strip of land lifted up for anti gravity while the rest of the track is as flat as before but with added scenery. Would it really hurt GBA Luigi Circuit if it did something similar?
@@mariobroultimate1808 Yes, it just wouldn't work well for GBA Luigi Circuit due to its theming in my opinion. I think that course ought to stay simplistic but with great scenery, it just works well like that.
@@dg_777player5 One single risen strip of land is not gonna ruin the track. It didn't ruin Mario Circuit, won't ruin this either.
I think I prefer 3DS Mario Circuit personally. It's still one of the most unique circuit tracks, but it feels like no one really talks about it much.
When I got MK7, the main attractions for me were Waluigi Pinball and Rosalina's Ice World, as well as a few others. But, while I did like those, I grew very attached to Wario Shipyard especially. I think it's one of the most fun MK tracks I've played in 7, Wii, and WiiU combined. Maybe that's a weird take, but I don't particularly remember liking many water sections in the base game of 8, yet they REALLY shine in Wario Shipyard for me! It feels like it should be one of the greats, famously remembered with the likes of Coconut Mall, yet it just isn't.
Airship Fortress is also very underrated to me. It just sticks out to me a lot in a way not a lot of tracks do.
I've always loved Sherbet Land growing up playing double dash. The deluxe graphics are amazing for it. And yes Wario's Shipyard needs to be brought back!

glad ds mario circuit got in wave 4, and its a wonderful improvement
imo warios gold mine and tick tock clock are underrated
HEAVILY agree with Wario Colosseum: it was one of my favourite GCN tracks but it's blasted on other people's lists! I also really like Moonview Highway and Mushroom City, and I think Mario Circuit DS is a good Mario Circuit (although I usually like Mario Circuit tracks that aren't from the SNES or GBA more than the average Mario Karter).
My two picks for underrated tracks would be Daisy Circuit Wii (it's coming back in wave 8 though, yay!) and Daisy's Cruiser GCN (pleased that came back too). They were both quite low down on the lists of other TH-camr's Mario Kart lists. Everyone seems to hate desert tracks with the exception of Shy Guy's Bazaar which is why Bone Dry Dunes is so low down on most people's lists, and I do get that to an extent, but I always liked Kalimari Desert which is in my opinion underrated.
As for super circuit, I really liked it at the time and it was packed full of content and some of the tracks were inspired considering the Mode 7 limitations, but it has aged quite poorly. The GBA tracks you've picked are good tracks in the context of GBA Mario Kart and I do love the remake of Sunset Wilds in 8 but they're not as interesting as modern tracks. Ribbon Road and Bowser Castle 3's remakes were incredible though.

I believe that DS DK Pass is more underrated than GCN Sherbet Land, but everyone has their own opinions.

I just bought Mario kart double dash for the game cube from my own 16 year old money and honestly I don’t like how slippery the controls are and sherbet land enraged me to no end

Toad circuit is extremely underrated. It's the best starting course. It shows all the game mechanics, and you want to replay it online. Mario Kart 8 circuit is a good track, but no one wants to play it again cus it's boring.

I do not understand how people hate on Sherbet Land for the exact same reasons they love Neon Bowser City when the latter is so much more unforgiving with its pits (I personally find it unbearable to play in 200cc in Mario Kart 8). Sherbet Land has some of the widest sections out of any track in Double Dash, giving you a wide margin of error when drifting, and the Shy Guys aren't too obtrusive, serving as a fair and challenging countermeasure. I don't understand why people find it that hard.
Plus, Sherbet Land has absolutely one of the best atmospheres out of any Mario Kart track - the Christmas Ice Rink environment and the music are just so pleasant and nostalgia-inducing (even though I didn't grow up with the Gamecube, unfortunately). It reminds me of Club Penguin - which might help explain why I love it so much, since that game ingrained in me a love for cozy winter environments.
I agree with most opinions. Moonview highway is, for me, still a popular track, especially by the wii community. And Sunset Wilds also has more credit in my opinion then Mushroom city.

I have to disagree with DS Mario Circuit. Like most DS tracks imo, it's a complete downgrade from the GCN tracks (rainbow road and mario circuit are HUGE contenders for this)

DK Jungle Parkway

Donut Plains 3 (MK8 Retro)
Sherbet land and bone dry dunes are D tier they suck and shouldn't be remembered, Moonview is S tier but not underrated, OG DS mario circuit is the 8th best course in DS and its only mid, Wario shipyard and mushroom city are S tier, lakeside park SUCKS, wario coloseum is only good, Cheep Cheep island is really good, Sunset wilds OG is perfectly rated

@@Diamond-OSCandMarblestuff To be fair, they do have a lot in common - including the name, winter environment (although they have vastly different aesthetics), and layout / mechanic methodology - but they're still very different. GC Sherbet Land is more of a spiritual successor to N64 Sherbet Land, not a remake (and I personally find it much better).
how is sunset wilds a "no"? it is a very pretty track with a good layout and could be really good if ported to mk8
