- The best Mario Kart tracks are usually the most interesting ones - the longest ones, the ones with the coolest themes, the most difficult elements. Today I'm going to be talking about some of the most overlooked, yet important parts of Mario Kart games - starter tracks.

I completely agree with your list! One thing that I think would be really cool is considering all remakes of courses as separate entries. Nearly all of these courses have been remade at least once so it would be interesting to see a list of the top 17 starter tracks rather than just 8
I’ll be honest I don’t understand why people like 3DS Toad’s circuit, it’s like Figure 8 but hey, there’s a glider section

I like it mostly due to nostalgia since MK7 was the first videogame I ever played, meaning TC was the first videogame level I ever played. But even with that aside, as a starter course, it was phenomenal.
Great video idea.

1. Mario Kart Stadium
2. Luigi Circuit (Double Dash)
3. Toad Circuit
4. Luigi Circuit (Wii)
5. Luigi Raceway
6. Peach Circuit
7. Mario Circuit 1
8. Figure 8 Circuit
My only real disagreements is that I think Mario Kart Stadium does everything that Toad Circuit does but better, and the gimmick plus Chain Chomp in GCN Luigi Circuit make it memorable for me.
The thing about Mario Kart Stadium is people actually pick it online, me included. I think that really says something about its quality
Who cares if loads of people pick it, everyone always picked Luigi circuit on MKWii online even though it's trash

@@karlispovisils5297 it may be slightly more unique than figure 8 circuit but there's no reason to pick Luigi circuit when you've got koopa cape, maple treeway, coconut mall, DK summit, N64 Bowser's castle etc yet people always did

my favorite first track is un-ironically mario kart wii’s Luigi circuit. I am not even nostalgic for that game. I didn’t have it as a kid and still, here we are
Good video list. I have a few suggestions for future Mario kart related ranking videos:
1.- Every circuit track ranked, including the remakes in the Mario kart games that have retro tracks since we all know that Nintendo isn't going to add another one to wave 6 in the booster course pass.
2.- Every battle mode ranked (including some of the ones that were remade in some of the future games).
3.- Every cup from each Mario kart game ranked.
Toad circuit in 1st place... boring track + shy guy bazar should be in the booster course pass instead of toad circuit

this is my list no8: figure 8 circuit, no7: mario circuit 1, no6: peach circuit, no5: toad circuit no4 luigi raceway no3 mario kart stadium, no2 GCN luigi circuit no1 WII luigi circuit
I never cared for beginner tracks as they always wear out their welcome particular in the online supporting Mario kart games. Having said that, let's rank for fun!
8. DS Figure-8 Circuit - tied for N64 rainbow road as my least favorite track of all time. Just way too safe and boring and not even any off road cuts to at least keep things interesting.
7. Wii Luigi Circuit - given how obnoxious the items can be in Wii, this track certainly highlights that all too well. Way too many bad memories of this track being picked every 2nd race and just pure RNG pain!
6. N64 Luigi Raceway - just plain boring and in addition suffers from mk64 syndrome where it feels way too long and featureless. At least there's some off road and that one item box that always spawns a blue shell in the OG.
5. SNES Mario Circuit 1 - it may be iconic but it's just plain boring like most SNES tracks
4. GBA Peach Circuit - pretty basic but largely inoffensive. The visuals are pretty nice tbh.
3. 3DS Toad Circuit - as much as I hate this track in 8 deluxe, admittedly it isn't a horrible beginner track, at least it tried to be interesting.
2. Wii U Mario Kart Stadium - while it's visually stunning, honestly this track is just sooooo old to me now after years of playing mk8/dx. The fact it's so over picked makes me groan whenever it's chosen, but I do feel at least this one was a decent intro to 8 and did it's job well.
1. GCN Luigi Circuit - probably the only beginner track I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to seeing as a retro in a future game. I think it has a unique gimmick with the oncoming traffic. Plus I am a sucker of the double dash circuit theme.
