Wanted to come back here and share my story. I watched tons of your videos in preparation for an interview for an internal position. Once interviews ended and decisions had been made I was told I did excellent in my interview, surpassing a lot of individuals that had been at the company a lot longer than I had BUT unfortunately I just didn't have as much experience as some of the other candidates (I hadn't completed my one year yet). Well I was bummed out to say the least but continued working hard as the interviewer told me to just keep doing what I was doing. 3 weeks ago another round of internal positions were announced. I applied feeling super confident this time. Well last week I was given the opportunity, NO interview needed. They simply wanted my resume and remembered my interview from the last time and selected me!! I cannot thank you enough for all your help 🥰

I feel hopeless. I've prepared. I've practiced. But I still get so nervous in interviews that I babble or choke or answer in disorganized ways. So depressed.

I just want to say after months of stress prepping to leave the military, I watched many of your videos to get used to what civilian companies are looking for and what communication styles to use. I took your advice for what questions to ask, how to respond to very common questions, and I just landed my dream job at a Laboratory!!! Your advice is excellent for prior service members looking to transition. I have received nothing but compliments using the techniques you have shared. Thank you so much for your effort. Im sure veterans like myself are going to excel if they use your strategies!

@Madeline, What if the recruiter told you not to waste time trying to know them or to find connection with them at the initial phone screen, instead of ask you whole set of questions ( overview, behavior question, situation question, strength and weakness, why you should be hired) that you except to hear at actual interview?! Is this becoming the regular for interview now ?

14:20 If you notice the difference in sound from this section, one of factors is reverb in the room.
Reverb makes it that much harder for the other person to understand what you are saying, so it's one of the factors to mitigate.

Hi Madeline, thank you for this video. I get the concept of the "power of similarities". I have an upcoming assessment centre/interview and I requested the name(s) of my interviewer(s) but I was told they don't share such information. All I got was that my accessor would be a senior recruiter from their HR team. Now, this is a company with over 700,000 employees around the world. Please, what do you recommend I do in this type of situation?
