The reason why your videos are among the BEST in preparing for job interviews is b/c you actually SHOW US EXAMPLES. So many people on TH-cam and otherwhere just throw tips and rules at you without really providing context or examples. By you giving us tools -- then showing you use them in practice -- is much more "real world" helpful. It is INVALUABLE. Thank you for doing this - and not just throwing more rules at us. We need to see things in action. Excellent videos!

I was scheduled for a virtual interview last Monday. Over the weekend, I watched your videos and drafted my answers to some interview questions taking into consideration the tips you shared. This allowed me to gain my self-confidence during the interview. I also prepared a thank you email a few hours after my interview. Come Wednesday morning, I received an email instructing me to indicate my references in a Reference Checking Form they sent. They called my 2 references from previous employment. On Thursday afternoon, The Peoples and Culture Advisor phoned me to inform me that I was the one chosen for the role. They sent me the formal offer and accepted it.
Thank you so much Madeline! On March 1, I will start my new role.

Tip: for the “what’s your weakness” question be sure to offer a weakness that is not directly needed in the job.
Like if you need to be very organized in the job don’t say that as a weakness. Most people have several weaknesses, offer something that is not directly needed in the job you are applying for (even if you’re saying it’s something you’ve overcome or you’re working on now). You don’t want to offer up a reason not to hire you.
Also be sure to watch your facial expressions - you may be super passionate and or just thinking 💭 but you don’t want to come off as angry or frowning (smile every once in a while haha)
    Much 💖.

I like this answer 😊a good alternative would be to say a 'fake weakness'. Something that you can twist around to be a good thing for you and/or the company you're applying to.
An example for me, a designer, would be something like "my weakness is being a 'perfectionist' " for example. Then I'd talk about how I tend to be detail-oriented to a fault, but then go on to mention that "any delays caused by this 'weakness' happened early on in my career, I've continued to work on it and haven't had any problems with shipping deliverables on time in recent years". Something like that lol

I was getting ready for interviewing for a third position with a company (the first two I made it to finalist but didn't "lock it down") and I knew I had to do something different. I watched your videos and this last interview felt completely different! They offered me the job and were super excited to do so! I truly believe videos like this one and your tips on how to answer "tell me about yourself" and other questions like that made the difference! Thank you!

Thank you SOO much Madeline! I discovered your series of videos because I needed to prepare for my very first zoom interview. I recently left my career as a customer service manager in a casino, and took a job at a warehouse due to stress. I have spent the last 7 months struggling with applying for jobs because I was so anxious about my experience and the interview process. I was able to land my first interview with the referral of a college friend. I played your videos on loop, took notes and practiced.
This lead to the best interview I ever had. I was way over prepared which made me feel fantastic. I had so much material to work with after following your formula and examples. I got the job!! I am so excited about a new career in the hospitality industry for steam boat River cruises 👍🏽👍🏽

I was recently successful in getting a job interview and took notes from her videos
I watched a handful of her videos the night before my interview - I would not recommend this as it’s best to prepare as many “STORIES” in your toolbox as you can

Hello Madeline, dropping here to thank you and to let you know that I got the job after watching this video. Some background, I have been a SAHM for 13 years and have been trailing my spouse on multiple expatriate assignments. Last year, we moved to Switzerland and I started looking for a job in January 2024 as my kids didn't need me so much anymore. In March, I got a call from a company for an interview and I started to panic because I realised I answered questions poorly during the phone call. Then I bumped into this video and prepared myself for the face to face interview. By the time I left the interview, I knew I got the job because the HR executive explicitly told me I was well prepared. Thank you once again for this great compilation.
