Tomorrow morning I have an interview. I got myself as much prepared as I could, wrote down all kinds of possible questions and answers, and tried to remember them. Maybe that's not the right approach, but that's how I am. I am so so nervous. I still believe I will get the job. I Will edit this later
EDIT: Successfully passed first interview. The second, the last one, will be held the day after tomorrow.
UPDATE: The last interview went super well. I tried to treat it as a meeting and it worked. They called me in a few hours to tell me I got the job 🎉💃

Brilliant channel
I found the best to overcome interview nerves is to focus on what you have control over. Don't see the interview as a success or fail if yo get it or not, because you do not have control if they decide to hire you or not. You have control over how you dress, how well you prepare, how you present yourself, as long as you did everything in your power to present yourself in the best possible light, you have personally succeed the interview. Do no worry about things that aren't in your control.

The swear the "what advise would you give a new starter" question landed me my job today... Ended the interview with this question (they even said 'that's a good question') they told me they'll get touch by Monday (today is Friday).. I got a call before I even got home offering me the position.. Basically thank you for the advice, legend.

I just had an interview and trust me I tried so much to calm my nerves and didn’t work.. I practiced and prepared so much for a week before the interview but I blocked out and things didn’t go well, so nervous and end up not getting the job :(
P.S - it’s was my 1st interview after 4 years so I promised myself to do better for any interviews coming up.. not giving up!

Tomorrow I have an interview that will change my life forever, Richard I will tell you tomorrow if I got the job.
EDIT: It went off really well, All of my answers were answered correctly and I made sure to keep focused instead of going blank and forgetting the questions. Where I didn't know how to answer I was avoidant and kept the answers short. In a week I'll EDIT again and tell you if I'm there working.

I am very nervous for my interview today, and have been watching your videos for the last week in an effort to prepare, but didn't watch this one until today. I'm glad I did, because you reminded me to do some last minute searches so that I can properly show the company that I care about what they do, and that I know exactly what they do! I learned about recent offers that they are making to new customers in the face the crisis in Ukraine, and all of the awards they've won for exemplary service to their employees and clients. I would have walked in knowing that they are known for being a great employer and great at what they do, but wouldn't have had all of these specific examples! Thanks, and I will update afterwards to let everyone know the outcome.

I just wanted to come on here and tell my testimony : wed i had an over the phone interview all she said was tell me about yourself and I panicked big time. I was shaking and stuttering SO BAD I hung up before finishing and just said forget it. Luckily, she called me back but I didn’t answer. She emailed me and asked if I wanted to reschedule for the next day (thank God). I told her yes. Well I got on here and rewatched your videos all day and night.... & guess what? I made is past the first interview yesterday ☺️. Now I can really prepare to land this Job on the 2nd interview next week. Thanks so much!!!!

Let me tell you, I failed like 3 interviews with 3 different employers bc I was laid off 05/2022 and have been so rusty. I’ve watched your videos and Project Greenlight and passed my phone interviews for two jobs I’m so very interested in!! I have on site meetings coming up next week, I’m prepping myself and have been worried about my anxiety but these videos REALLY HELP❤. Project Greenlight helped too bc the girl they chose had nerves that seemed to choke her up, like mine, and she pushed through and I watched her struggle throughout the process but she DID IT and I can tell bc she set that precedence it will help her next time. This was a huge help for me too bc I see people like me who aren’t giving up and pushing through and prospering. I know the more I speak publicly and practice practice practice I’ll be a better candidate. Im 50 and have been retired since 2011. I need something to do so over the past 2 weeks I’ve interviewed with 5 companies in 5 different industries, and they all offered me jobs. Just waiting for the back ground checks to come back and then I’ll chose which company to peruse. I don’t get nervous, as I’m always curious which questions they are going to ask me, and I’m prepared for them all. If you plan on having fun with the interview you won’t get nervous. Two of the companies were so interested in my resume they stated they had to call me in. Thanks for all the great videos.

EDIT: Today was my interview! I think I did well! At the end of the “meeting” haha I was pretty much laughing with my interviewers and felt like we were already colleagues. I left feeling confident. But either way, I’m proud of myself.

Tomorrow I have an assessment centre that will predict the direction of my career. This includes 2 interviews, a presentation and a group exercise. I have prepared as much as I can but I am extremely nervous. I believe I am capable of getting this as long as I do not let nerves get the better of me. I will edit this in due course!

I have been getting interviews for the NHS mental health service for over a year with no luck, than yesterday I had another interview. I prepared for 3 days and after the interview I sent a thank you letter 3 hours after. I got a call today saying I wasn't successful with the job I interviewed for but they said they couldn't just let me get away because they loved my passion and personality, so they split up another job position into 2 people doing the role , so I am working as part of the mental health team now. I'm so exciting to start. It's all about being resilient and never give up. Thanks @richard for all of your videos. I truly believe the thank you letter pushed me over the finishing line!

I’m applying for a senior analyst role at one of the leading banks in Australia. I have handled some major projects and have led many initiatives worth millions of dollars in my current role. However, when it comes to giving interviews I am terrible at it. My nerves get the best of me and I just end up making myself look a like a fool. Don’t know why but I have always hated giving interviews. But after listening to your advice and watching your videos I’m confident I will do well in my interview with the bank on Tuesday (this week), please wish me luck. 🙏🏽 I will let you know how it goes.

I looked this up because I was nervous and actually the last bit about good questions for to the company actually really calmed me down. Interviews are so nerv racking because of the personal stakes involved. I can do the job absolutely fine, face customers and stakeholders absolutely fine. But when I have to interview and its the ultimate this interview determines if i can earn a living, it hits home so much more.
