They should shift bus stand majestic from central part majestic to east west north south direction. Currently 100+ public travel towards central part of bengaluru to board intra city/district/state buses. If shifted to direction wise, new bus stand should be constructed near strr so buses can bypass traffic also metro should be extended till strr constructed bus stands. 50% traffic will reduce from bengaluru of buses.

Everyone is concentrating more on the advantages of the STRR. Yeah, I too agree that the traffic will be reduced to the maximum extent, but no one is bothered about the fact that it has to pass through BNP, in the "Eco Sensitive Zone", and it is an "Elephant Corridor" as well. Extending the road and the movement of vehicles in the BNP will intensively affect animals' movements. We humans think that only humans are living on this earth, which is not true. Every being on this earth has the right to live. Traffic is what we people create. Using public transport instead of individual vehicles can help reduce traffic as well as air pollution. We have to think about other aspects too; constructing roads is not the only solution.

It is the fate of Kannadiga to have exceptional citizens who transform not just their own country economy but contribute towards other countries economies, but our politicians are corrupt, do not have vision. I remember as a kid when we used to wonder how quickly fly over used to get constructed under SM Krishna govt. Since then, infra development has been done without vision. Bangalore needs more metro lines, sub-urban trains, ropeway(like in NYC) and for sub-urban areas loop bus or tram service. Politician need to understand that every rupee invested in infra brings minimum 5 rupees in return. But I do not see any change in our political leaders.
