This brings back so many happy and sad memories for me, my brother and my two older sisters. Our father+ was a great fan of Simon and Garfunkel. I came from a very musical family. We kids use to sing songs like these when we and mam were doing the dishes in the kitchen. Our father+ played several instruments but always said he couldn’t sing.
But while were were singing in the kitchen we heard soft his voice coming from the living room, doing a second vocal on every song.
Hearing Simon & Garfunkel makes me long back to those moments. :’(

I was moved to tears immediately as they began to sing, as their voices meld together like chocolate blending into milk for a treat that's better than each. Just the idea that these two men were able to put any differences aside to participate in the ceremony of performing an anthem created decades ago and performed hundreds of times prior to this culmination of sorts. And for so many in the audience's watchful, eager eyes - it's all the more gratifying to hear the many thousands join in the simple haunting chorus of "lie la lie." And next, the duo - well-seasoned like an iron skillet cooking up a hearty dish - hitting the heights of the song with all their breath. Gosh this is beautiful and worth every penny of the high ransom the front rows must have paid for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of seeing these American heroes practice their craft on stage live. 🥹

Imho this is the single best song ever written. Not even the beatles have ever written anything as touching as this.

A song for eternity, about fifty years old - but still one of the best songs ever made.

I saw Paul Simon in concert in Australia earlier this year and it was one of the best concerts I've been to. He is a true genius. There will never be the likes of this duo again I believe.

I did not recognize this. His voice is shot and he has become an old bald curmudgeon begrudging Simon’s solo career.

I was on the ground to greet their first iteration of this song, and after the ages, THIS is my favorite version. THIS concert pretty much my favorite version of most of their catalog.
Thank you God, for the opportunity to come back to this and re-listen at leisure.
Not to say their early stuff is "throw-away". Back when it was raw, honest, and fresh.
Wish these two well, and thank all involved for their contribution to my life.

Then my first real love came along and low and behold she had also been listening to this as well ???? She is still my wife and thank god she is !!!!!!!!!!!
