In no way, shape or form are we desiring to degrade these individuals. We pray for each of these men that they come to the knowledge of the truth of salvation.

We have to remember, they're misunderstanding scripture, and have become deceived. In a way, they're victims, but then they're victimizing others with a false gospel of works salvation. For instance, Ray Comfort preaches works-salvation, but it's likely because he misunderstood the meaning of "repentance" to be saved, and his belief system has cemented as he's aged. It's with good intentions, but false gospel still exists, and is harmful.

I've studied this belief system for the last year, and some of us came up with a term for their belief system. We call it "Loss of Salvation Theology" (LOST). This LOST belief is dividing the church today even more than Calvinism. The problems with LOST:
    1. LOST imposes a philosophical lens on top of scripture. It says that if you can believe and be saved, you can un-believe and be un-saved. This is simply a negative inference fallacy, because the opposite is not always true.
    2. The LOST view engenders a doctrine of continued faithfulness to maintain salvation (ie. works, but called "continued faith"). It's no different than the Calvinist "Perseverance of the Saints," which is works-salvation. They just replace the 'works' with "faithfulness," but it's still works. This makes LOST 1 point Calvinism.
    3. LOST implies that Jesus did not die for all our sins, or His sacrifice was insufficient to save.
    4. LOST implies belief/faith itself has saving power (they call it "saving faith"), which it doesn't. Belief itself doesn't save; God's grace via Jesus Christ saves us. Belief is just the means through which we are saved.
    5. LOST ignores scripture. This is the big problem here. Scripture tells us we are saved, have eternal life, are sealed, are co-heirs with Christ, that no one can snatch us from God's hand, and that God will never forsake us. Also, we're children of God.
Like Calvinism, LOST is not Christian. It's a false gospel of works-salvation, so please warn others against this LOST. Many anti-Calvinists and newer Christians fall into LOST, so please remind them they have eternal life and are saved eternally once they believed.

@@Wukles by abiding in Christ. I would say go read Sauls story in 1st samuel. Or ezekiel. Im not coming at you with pride but trying to share some verses to show we cant go live however we feel like and expect to be saved. The parable of the servant that was forgiven is a good example. He was forgiven, he didnt forgive, and the forgiveness he was given was taken away.
Romans 11:16-25 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
      And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Hebrews 12:2-11 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

So, do you stop being one of his children periodically if you can lose salvation ? Can I sin my way out of it today, gain it back tomorrow, then lose it next week ? Exactly there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus! My favorite verse!
I actually was raised in a pentecostal Arminian church and I cried every Sunday knowing I was never good enough. I knew something was off. Glad I left and now I have peace in Christ!
I now grieve over my sin in a more healthy way, knowing his spirit guides me helps me to deny the flesh way better than under false teaching.
Life is terribly hard at least it is for me, so my question at the time was why did pastors heap even more burden on the congregation when they are already at the breaking point... I knew It didn't make sense. I broke down overwhelmed and almost was done with going to any church for the hypocrisy that I saw and my poverty was what made me resent it more. It probably was Satan's tactics to make me dislike the church in general.
God knew why I went through it all to make me see I depend solely on Jesus for salvation. And I should have the same grace towards others like me now that I AM SAVED!

The Bible says we are justified by faith & works BOTH. The Bible it's not faith alone that is a saving faith. Faith without works is a dead faith, the faith of devils.

An eye opening understanding that I got from watching Yankee Arnold was when he explained that not every time the terms salvation, saved, saving is used in scripture always refers to the soul and its eternal destiny. And differentiating justification ( salvation) from discipleship.
That cleared up so much confusion for me even though I knew that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone and that salvation cannot be lost ever.
It is so very sad how the plain gospel of grace has been hijacked and twisted leaving many unsure of their salvation or undo, maybe not even have salvation at all.
I can’t thank this channel enough and people like Yankee and Tom Cucuzza for their commitment and continual videos on the biblical gospel message as they try to teach people who are either caught up in the misrepresentation of it and those that are lost and need the truth before they hear the lies.
What I hear a lot in those that teach loss of salvation regarding John 10:28 is , “ well you can jump out of God’s hand “ which totally negates that he marks us as his, gives us the Holy Spirit and is faithful to the end when we at one point placed our trust in him for his free gift.
And in I Corinthians 6:9-11 they misuse that as a litmus test to prove one is saved if they don’t do those sins any more or say if you do those you weren’t really saved because you didn’t change .
They fail to understand that this passage is referring to our identity and how after we have believed in Christ , we are not identified as those things but used to be. We are now a new creation BUT STILL HAVE THAT OLD FLESH NATURE.
I am so grateful to the good Lord for leading me to these channels In approximately 2020 so I can live in a security in Christ like I’d never known even though at that point I’d been born again for 39 years.

The question I have for these people about 1 Corinthians 9 is do they think eternal life is a reward? In verse 17 and 18 Paul talks about preaching the Gospel to receive a reward, verse 19-23 he explains what he’s doing to receive this reward, verse 24-27 he gives a analogy of running a race to receive a “prize” and how if he doesn’t continue to run this race he won’t get his “prize” he’ll be disqualified from receiving a “prize/reward”. I emphasize prize and reward because Romans 5:11,15-18 and Romans 6:23 to name a few say that eternal life/justification/righteousness/atonement are free gifts so if there free gifts then how can they be a reward or prize?

I have always understood the branches as being fruit bearing, from works. And we cut ourselves off from bearing fruit or walking in the works He has for us, when we choose to separate ourselves by indulging in flesh-fulness/worldliness/sin. Even as someone who once feared losing salvation, reading this passage any other way made no sense, since it states a person can be grafted back in. I never thought anyone could jump in and out of salvation, but I use to think that a person could walk away, but that’s not Good News. The Good News is all we need to do is believe, because it’s all we can do and it’s the revelation of this Good News that draws us to believe! I was saved when I was four and struggled harshly with false teachings throughout my 46 years. It’s truly amazing how the joy and peace of the Good News takes away desires to sin.

Read my comment above please...I love your moniker that the blood is 100%sufficient,however many many people are genuinely saved by a minimal conversion ideation,ie.even they did not grasp at that point of repentance that all sins were covered by the blood.Otherwise how could an atheist get saved on his deathbed repentance...the Gospel covers us all even if we didn't fully comprehend how many sins were paid for...you assume that Christians living under the false guilt induced by legalistic churches always think some of his sins were not paid for,as obviously his doubt, even if they indeed were covered by the blood!

@@robertofunk673 I see you liked your own comment haha.
Anyways, no offense, but this is false.
The Bible describes the way into heaven as NARROW and FEW there be that finds it.
You don't have to comprehend the entire depth of the gospel, such as the word justification, propitiation, sanctification, etc.
But there are essentials to what you must believe in.
It's actually not hard to comprehend that Jesus died for your sins and actually with your atheist example, I would say it's probably way easier to get an atheist who's never heard the gospel before to trust that Jesus died for ALL sins.
      Why?
Because when someone hears for the first time that Jesus died for every sin and no works are added to the gospel, naturally they can easily believe that their payment is paid in full by the blood and naturally believe in eternal security, after all, who can become unsaved if their payment is paid in full?
It's the religious wolves in sheep's clothing that cause confusion, who say that Jesus died for every sin "BUT" you must do X Y and Z, if you believe you have to do something to help Jesus with his sacrifice, you therefore do not trust in his sacrifice for your sins as sufficient.
If a child of deception teaches that you can become unsaved by sinning, it doesn't matter what they claim to believe, they do not trust in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ to have paid for all sins.
The way is narrow because people don't trust in the eternal security God promises, they think Jesus sacrifice needs their own meritorious help.
Sorry, but they aren't saved, Lord haven't we done all these mighty works?
Jesus will say "depart from me"
Believers of conditional security believe that their works are indeed required, their beliefs are in their many wonderful works, not solely on the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 6:6 refers to those who have "fallen away" from their faith, and Hebrews 10:27 says they should expect "a fearful expectation of judgment". It says that a hard heart towards God's teachings, without repentance, can lead to a slow death of faith. I believe if a person just carefully reads the book of Hebrews, with as few preconceptions as possible, they will conclude a person can turn from Christ, become a non-believer, and forfeit salvation. Other New Testament books also teach this sobering truth.
(2 Peter 2:20-22) If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”

in Hebrews 6:4, I believe when it begins saying it is impossible i believe he is saying that the whole situation described afterward is impossible. That if hypothetically, you could lose your salvation you wouldnt be able to get it back, if that were true. In the view of the men in the documentary, It would have to mean, that backsliders cant return to the Lord either. And most of them dont believe that. They believe backsliding is loss of salvation but that they can return. Most that I know at least believe that. I believe a christian can backslide but I dont think that equals loss of salvation. The Lord will discipline you and if He doesnt take you home He will eventually bring you back(see Isaiah 57:14-19)...
Also in context the writer of hebrews is trying to let christians know that they need to essentially graduate from the elementary principles of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God aka Salvation. As many christians often, especially as brand new converts have a tendency to believe that every time we sin we can believe we need to repent and get saved again. There does come a point that we need to grow and get rid of that mindset, move forward, and then plainly lets us know in verse 4 that losing your salvation is impossible.

This video is incoherent. Why would Paul warn about losing a crown if that person is already saved and heading to eternal life. How does a crown compare to eternal life?
Also, when you mentioned about your works being burned up, the “context” of that entire passage is about witnessing to lost souls by planting and watering the seed. That seed will either produce gold or silver or hay or stubble. Meaning, some people that you witness to will be proven to be gold and/or silver and will abide in Christ all the way to eternal life and others (hay and/or stubble) will be burned up and will not abide. YET, you yourself will be saved being tried by fire yourself. It’s not talking about your individual deeds. “Work” in that passage is referring to souls.

It’s safe to say that these sort of people are not saved and I believe the reprobate doctrine is important to fill in who these people are that this verse is talking about, it’s like the final step before God gives them over to a reprobate mind. 27:34
He was using the interpretation of corporate election and applying that to an unbeliever of that corporate group, because he thinks that the "they" is talking to believers because of the "faith" in the other verse. So then he sets up an unfair straw man of the passage, saying that an unbeliever would not just be "cut off" because it says that the "they" had "faith."
The "they" is talking about corporate Israel, period. This has sub groups of believers and unbelievers. The sub groups are irrelevant. Therefore, the corporate group of Gentiles can also be cut off.
Also, when read entirely and properly, the passage rightfully opposes supersessionism (i.e. the reformer doctrine that God replaced Israel with the Church) because there were gentile BELIEVERS who thought that they were "better" than ethnic Israel because of God's revelation being spread to the Gentiles, i.e. the rest of the world. Its all about how God chooses to reveal Himself through people groups, and has nothing to do with eternal salvation.

so, I did get interrupted in watching this video, so perhaps i missed something. But to me, some of your replies have sounded like you can in fact apostatize, which people translate to "lose salvation." I personally think, in most cases, its a matter of a person being stupid and doing a prodigal son exploration of alternatives, or simply finding themselves in a spiritual valley, in which we will be welcomed back when we come to our senses. And those who dont come to their senses, probably were never saved. Will God take away our salvation cause of our ignorance? I dont think so.
So can we clarify your position so far? I believe the current options are... a lost of rewards, loss of salvation, or it doesnt matter what you do, you are still saved?
I've been exploring this topic for a while as I don't believe one can lose their salvation if they actually choose Jesus, and not just the idea of Jesus. But a lot more people disagree with that view than agree. And I'm still on the fence and I probably need to figure out how to use my LOGOS software effectively to study this more in depth than cherry picking various verses.

I have a genuine question that has come up as I am listening to them talk. Are they truly saved since they are not believing they are saved by grace through faith? Is this an essential doctrine where they are missing the mark or are they still saved and Jesus will just deal with that aspect when they come before him? Or will it be more of a “depart,I never knew you” type of thing since they are getting it so wrong? I hope that makes sense bc this is something I’m honestly wondering.

The panel of pastors and theologians didn't even speak to verses that support what it takes for one to be saved. So it's a fine line of not knowing if they believe whether their salvation was obtained through grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone. One must believe in Jesus and His redemptive finished work at the cross but none spoke to how one obtains salvation just how one can lose it.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. John 5:24
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
There are many that claim to believe in the Gospel but they either frontload it with their own works for salvation and/or they add works to preserve their salvation. Either Christ paid 100% of our death penalty or they believe Christ died 90% and they have to finish the rest. Christ paid it all; that's the Good News!!
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph 2:8-9
Their fruits are what they believe, which is that their good works must be added to Christ's finished work. With that said, it is possible some of the pastors on the panel were saved as believers and yet now, they are erring in their doctrinal interpretation and falling away from the truth. The ones who entered the door by believing in Christ's finished work (death, burial and resurrection) would be saved but will endure chastening here on earth and loss of rewards in heaven. God's gifts are irrevocable; salvation is a gift that cannot be lost.
I hope this helps. Hopefully Trent will weigh in! May God bless!

Put simply, our salvation depends solely on the person and work of Jesus Christ. As we continue to trust in him, we will experience the power of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives to make us more like Jesus. When we see this happening, our assurance that we truly are one of God's children grows. The Holy Spirit living in you is who guides us to our purpose in Jesus. We must possess the Holy Spirit to be saved. He is necessary for salvation. He is the seal of God, and its the Holy Spirit that brings us into a relationship with the Lord. He transforms your heart and mind, and conforms you into the character of Christ. When the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of you upon salvation, we become a temple for the Holy Spirit, or the temple of God. He becomes your helper and teacher, as well as the power and strength to avoid temptations. The Holy Spirit is your evidence you have been Born Again. 1John 2:27 says, But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true-it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.

We cannot lose what we could not earn. Salvation is a free gift given freely by The Eternal Everlasting God The Father. We have assurance of our salvation because when we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (be born again - John 3) we receive God as Father and we’re His children. I would just question the motive for wanting once saved always saved to be true; is it so you can serve the Lord in confidence without fear of losing faith, or is it to have license to sin? If the goal is license to sin then that motive shows a false faith. God sees your heart and knows why you really want it to be true.

We really and truly don’t “want it to be true,” but we truly believe it is true. Scriptures such as Romans 3, 4, 8, Ephesians 1, John 6 and others show us this doctrine is true.

Zac Poonen didn't say Paul deserved to go to heaven he said "IF there is anybody that deserves to go to heaven." Big difference. What i find really troublesome about this video isn't the interpretation of the word on salvation and osas. What bothers me is the accusations thrown towards people about twisting scripture and accusing people of purposely trying to decieve people. One of my best friends is osas and I am not. Did i mention we are best friends? He never accuses me of twisting scripture and i never accuse him of twisting scripture. He is a dear brother in the Lord and I love him and he loves me. It would be good to see people on both sides of the argument stop accusing the other of heresy. Seek Him and His meekness and let go of your pride. And what i mean by "let go of your pride" is stop pointing fingers and calling names and being ugly to people that have a different view than you. None of us are going to heaven for having a perfect understanding of God's word. Let us agree on Jesus. I say this for people on both sides of this argument. Including myself. I wish you all peace and the Lord's blessings on your life's journey. Shalom.

If a person is TRULY born again the Holy Spirit will manifest and help the person to desire in walking the way Jesus instructs. It's called sanctification. A person is justified at conversion and sealed by the Holy Spirit and are OSAS but the true manifestation of this proof is by how they live, do they live for self? Or does their life show they love God and love people by the way they treat and serve others in Christ name.... Jesus said we are to become less in our life by giving it away to HIM so He can become greater through laying our life down so HE can be glorified by being vessels of HIS love, mercy, power and grace to others. To be JESUS with skin on and a light, salt to the earth in a dying world....

It is your work that I respect the most in defending the grace in Jesus for us, the sinners. However my oppinion differ on this statement of Jesus in Mathew 25. I think the timing of the event is crucial here.
Мат 25:31-33 KJV 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Wll, it's not the Great White Throne, nor the judgement seat of Christ.
That means it's not the judgement of the dead, nor the judgement of the Church, its the judgement of the nations outside the Church in the tribulation about their reaction on the gospel of the kinngdom of heaven preached by the renewed Israel - the 144000, or another group of brothers of Jesus a.i. jews. Both the goats and the sheep are alive and not ressurected..!!!
Also I think that this might be the same group in Мат 7:21-23 KJV 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
These people did not accepted the mark of the beast, so they were not gatherd by the angels and thrown into still operational Hell / Hades, yet they dont have the saving gospel. They are all gentiles, no jew among them
I think more like the situation of Rahab in Jericho.
Deut. 18:18-19 KJV 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
