I am quite amazed at the misinformation in this video. The description about keto flu is also misleading. You can never have ketoacidosis while on a Ketogenic diet. Ketoacidosis and keto diet are different thing. Generally people with half baked knowledge confuse between the two, it's very common in many TH-cam channels. Ketoacidosis refers to diabetic ketosis(DKA) and is a complication of type 1 diabetes mellitus. It’s a life-threatening condition resulting from dangerously high levels of ketones and blood sugar. Can you enter ketoacidosis because of keto diet. No never. Just a suggestion to people who are looking to follow Ketogenic diet and are looking for sources or utube vids. Quit videos that talk about ketoacidosis while explaining keto diet. They know no nothing. They don't understand the physiology of human body. Ketogenic diet can cause type 2 diabetes? That was the first for me. Ketogenic diet is a tool actually to reverse type 2 diabetes.
Well I disagree, I lost 15 kgs in 3 months. My cholesterol was high and since I lost weight, its normal now. My husband had dibetes and he got rid of it. With Keto, agree you cant do exercise madly but you can still workout in a steady manner. Infact, you lose more weight if exercise is subtle and not intensive. I agree, it should be done under medical supervision. Yes it doesnot set with our culture but all is possible with a mindset. I struggled with weight for 10 years and this is the final thing which helped me after 10 years of vicious circle. My blood pressure is fine, my cholesterol is fine, my weight is good and my husband dibetes is totally cured. Yes, you cant have cheat days with high carbs like potato chips, pizza with wheat base, no high carbs but this diet really works. This diet is not for people with normal weight trying to build strength but for obese people. While you are coming back from Keto, first go for low carb [15%], little high protein[ 50-60%], good fat[ olives, lean meat, avocados, nuts, pure ghee, olive oil, coconut, full fat yogurt and some cheese, 25%]. Trust me, all your life never go for carbs more than 25% intake. Wholesome carbs and carbs from veggies have nutritional value, rest all is gimmick. Carb love was and is created by sugar lobbies. This diet somehow helps your brain to shift the carb mindset to other healthy choices. Carb eating is like an addiction. You can only get out of addiction by lowering it down to the lowest limit[ 15-25%] from good & fibrous carb sources.

But, most people on this diet today are doing it as it has many better tasting food options and also they are too lazy to work hard in the gym. Pros- Faster weight loss (not saying fat loss) Many delicious food options than a traditional muscle building fat loss diet Cons- Not a sustainable diet No glycogen in muscles to train harder Go off the diet and the weight gain begins Causes fatty liver Increases bad gut bacteria as they run on fats whereas good bacteria run on carbs Causes elecrolyte imbalance Etc
If you gotta do a comparison between pros & cons then do a fair comparison. There are a number of ways through which you can mitigate the cons. However, I do agree it's not a very sustainable diet for people from the subcontinent.
Doesnt mean people are lazy. Some people may be handicapped or simply cant get enough time and still want to get healthy. Just going to gym doesnt make you healthy. Body building is different than living a healthy life style.

You will gain the weight back when you stop this diet. My advice is to lose weight through normal workouts and diets slowly. That will not be gained back quickly. But, tum karogi to yehi i know 😂

He is right that it should be administered. When one weight trains he should go for high carb diet as that is important. Don't completely follow a keto diet rather increase carbs more than 20gms. Also Keto diet is not one size fits all, it may increase cholesterol too. ETH Zurich along with the University Children’s Hospital Zurich conducted the study. They fed mice ketogenic diets and high-fat diets and then tested their metabolisms and sugar responses. They found that keto diets don’t allow the body to properly use insulin, so blood sugar isn’t properly controlled. That leads to insulin resistance, which can raise the risk for type 2 diabetes.

After watching your video I realized that you have literally no clue about the ketogenic diet. Many of the things that you said are highly inaccurate which proves that you are no dietician/expert. Keto is a lifestyle with enormous health benefits. Disappointing video.
