I really am married and alone. My wife lives thousands of miles away. This is my second marriage and we have been married for only a little over 5 years. We have been separated (not a legal separation) for more than 4 of those years. So, I live alone. I am retired and much, much older than my wife. I never had any children but my wife has 4. Three of them adults by now. My first marriage ended in divorce after 33 years. In that marriage I felt alone for many years. We were separated for the last 6 years of our marriage and then divorced. We did live like roommates for many years.

I hear all you say. Thank you so much for bringing up this topic..Yes this topic hits home..for me - God enable me to repent worship me, obsessive self pity, obsessive self focus, needy,.. Kingdom of me..not Kingdom of God. Not worshipping God ! whinny, wimpy, dominate.. subtle, passive, manipulate..I'm on the 28:30 throne of my heart..not God ! like it's all about me..when from my youth I was always alienated in my birth family and I shamefully used sex- early childhood sex, then teen sex addiction .. masturbation- a loner- just using people- etc..then sudden fear thought just get married last I become old maid. From my birth family stunning pain, trauma, estrangement, alienation, isolation.. just admitting my faults, confessing my sin, mercy to walk in The Light .God knows all about me - then desperately clinging to -worship a person-desperate for a person to meet haunting need..I realize only God's love infiltrate, permeate, saturate my heart with His love! God is love. Gradually now over the years desperate obession for love of man, affection, approval, acceptance, tell me, convince me I mean something to you..too much pressure on another person who is also trying to function, endure pressures in their own life, quietly go to work, pay bills, childcare,

It’s such a truth that life in its ups, there’s downs. The simple truth is both things need addressed. Celebrating in the good times. Addressing the pain that life does deals us on a daily basis.
I’d like to begin by starting a group.calling the group “Hearts to Hearts.”
Any suggestions on how to further expand this idea and help others who might like to get involved and talk about their own experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Would this be good for the spouse who wants to have healing if the other spouse does not engage in moving forward? Need to know if this is right for me.

I think my husband feels this way for a while after I immaturely betrayed him in a online emotional affair for a 5 years. I tried to reconnect with him after I came clean but he shut down and easily blame me on a lot things small and big all around the house. Our roles seems to reverse while he carried on all those symptoms with anger and PTSD issues; I wanna learn to heal and show him there is resource to get better. Please let me know anything else I can do other than the workbook. Thanks

You could both work through the book Emotional Fitness or try counseling (you can call us at 719-278-3708).
There is also a DVD called "After Infidelity" that could be helpful.

That’s a situation I believe will heal well with the right help. I’ve got questions too, and no money to pay for counseling or a team/group help situation.
Good luck to you and I’ll keep you in prayer.

He needs to forgive you and that is difficult. It's a linear process.

This is a area where I have questions;need answers desperately!
What does one do when there’s no possibility for counseling? No money/resources available for help?

But What causes men to do this why? How is this created???

    • @healingtimeministries
      @healingtimeministries  ปีที่แล้ว +1

There are several different reasons why: past sexual abuse, sex/porn addiction, attachment issues with their parents in childhood, the result of a mental disorder, etc.
Your pain from this is real regardless of how he got this way.
If you need support, we have a Married & Alone phone group and Facebook group you can join. You are not alone in this.

In all marriages . My husband is not religious and is like this. I believe a narcissist as well. He can be quite mean.

My ex-husband was a narc. Very evil and it got worse with time. These types rarely change. I'd separate. He's probably cheating too.

I was busy homeschooling and raising our 3 kids (while he kept me/us in poverty, yet HE had his secret bank accounts and money!?), but he was busy doing doing doing ALLLL the shit he wanted to do, ALL the time. Feels like I’m just realizing: I’ve been married to a man who is a polygamist!? He has “other lives” and “other wives”…. 🤦🏻‍♀️ fml
