Life behind the bushes. (Adam and Eve) When we DO 1John 1, Mal.3 , Eps. 4, and give up Pride/hiding/lying, and put on the Lord Jesus Christ, humility, we don't need to be right. There is NOTHING that can be done against love. I changed from this darkness, I grew up in the hatred of indifference, it was VERY COSTLY. The Lord spoke ONE WORD to me to get out of the hell of protecting myself via indifference, and "quiet pride". WE PASS FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE, WHEN WE LOVE. When I lived in condemnation and under the law of the flesh, I hid behind bushes, like Eve did with Adam. When I began hearing God's voice and obeying it I WAS FREE TO LOVE, and it didn't matter anymore how others were loving me. Bottom line in this verse. "When you do well under oppression, THIS IS ACCEPTABLE TO GOD." When I took the logs out of my own eyes, demonic spirits that were oppressing me, Jesus gave me a TWIG ministry. And I could help women out of the hell of hiding, lying through silence, and the hell of indifference, darkness. For when we give up giving each other "the bread" of pretense, hypocrisy, and SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE, it memeber's us to Jesus and His people. WE GET BOUND with chords of love to THE BRIDE of Christ.

At least you acknowledge this problem. I've tried to get help many, many times and only end up feeling lie I'm the problem, possibly because I sound like I'm just feeling sorry for myself and/or have no skills to deal with what is going on, or you married him, figure it out! I'm 77 and my family has mostly abandoned me, probably because I didn't leave him. The reason for that is that he gambled away everything. Guess where I met him? Bible College!
And the church is silent
Exactly! God created the institution of marriage for a lot of reasons. When we as married couples have never even opened the Bible, how can we know and experience of the most beautiful things in this life. I’ve been married for 46 years and we did not open our bibles and read God’s intentions for a marriage and family. I absolutely believe that is one of the most important things that should be taught.
This is my husband. He can blame me and use every excuse in the book but I just can’t take it anymore.

I wish I can start a class but I am afraid people might not want to speak out because of the culture and also the interpretation of this verse in proverbs 14.1 that makes women continue staying no matter the treatment

You know I think if The lord let me go through a loveless marriage for a reason .
Die to self so you can be who God created you to be .
I’ve gone through so much trauma and the Holy Spirit taught me that it’s very important to have soul check ups .
Releasing from your soul the bad things that has happens and bind to your soul Everything that Jesus died for us to have, joy ,his joy ,his love 💗 we have to say it out loud .
Once you do I promise you….You will have joy again. No matter where you are in your walk with Jesus .

Doug sounds like he's airing his grievances about his ex wife.
Arent you talking about your sin of withholding Love, Honor and Joy to the wife of your youth, your children, grandchildren, entire clan, Doug? Is doing such making you "like" you???
Aren't you being judgemental? Unless you're present in his home to see what's going on, you have no right to presume anything! You'll also be judged by God, just like every human being Christian and no Christian. May your heart turn to Jesus- He loves you🕊

Dr. Weiss, since the sin of withholding is a flesh pattern and an addiction, how much does true repentance play a part in the healing of this?
It plays a huge role in it.
And how are you going to to determine if shes "repented"? If she has sex with you, how many times does she need to have sex with you in order for you to feel thatvshe has "repented"? And is it really your place to judge her standing with God? Focus on what you're doing, not doing, if you're "repentant" or not, for doing or not doing what your wife says she needs. Wives need to feel loved, feel wanted, feel accepted, feel cherished, feel valued, feel emotionally supported, not treated harshly or yelled at or be aggressive or violent toward her. Wife must know you're being faithful to her, dependable, responsible, mature, not blaming her, that you've got her back before she feels like having sex. If any of that is out of whack, well she's just not going to want to have sex with you bc if she did she feels like she is saying 'it's ok that you treated bad'. How is a wife supposed to have boundaries? If she had sex with you after you've been mean & abusive to her, or harsh or yelled at her or thrown things at her, or are cheating on her or looking at porn which makes her feel self-conscious about her body & like she's "not good enough", or if you're undependable, unreliable, toy with her emotions, gaslight her, or ignore special times & days, or anything except being kind, loving, gentle, & attentive with her, how is that supposed to motivate her to have sex with you?She would have to violate her own boundaries of whats acceptable & what's not, violate her own conscience, & it would send the message to an abusive husband (if that were the case) that it's "ok" to treat her that way bc she would just be going back for more abuse & get no respect.
@treefrog3487 You don't seem to have a single though for a husband's side of the hurt. This is typical of 21st century female nature; always blaming the man for everything.
@@treefrog3487 The vast majority of wives not having sex with their husbands are purely for selfish reasons. But they LOVE to keep bringing this garbage up. Of course, it IS the case in some instances, but it's not even close to being the norm.

I GOADED my husband to get counseling with Weiss' Heart to Heart Counseling. A "therapist" who has the same name Doug PANDERED to my husband and his evil, AND challenged him to LEAVE ME. I had planned to report to Weiss, BUT Weiss has just divorced the wife of his youth to marry another. Like leader like follower. So can any Godly marriage counseling be derived from this man's group?
I am sorry that you're asking for referrals on THIS site. I sincerely hope you'd be able to find referral somewhere else, where there's a greater chance of finding a GENUINE marriage counselor.
Oh my! That is so devastating! Im sorry that happened to you. How traumatic! I remember finding out about it somehow online several years ago. I was devaststed. There goes another resource for help. I remember when Steve Arterburn did the same thing & I thought great, another Christian leader bites the dust, caves to temptation & justifies it with scripture.
A person can justify anything they want with scripture, & call it "good", but there is actually a scripture that does warn against "wresting" or twisting of the Word. My husband & I has called bad experience with a Christian counselor who told my SA husband "to go to the beach [to be desensitized by scantily clad women]. That's not consistent with scripture. How can that even be called "Christian" help when the Psalmist David after he'd sinned (had sex with another man's wife) with Bathsheba & after he'd repented, he wrote that He wouldnt set before his eyes any unclean thing? We're not to deliberately go out looking for trouble & tempting ourselves. We're not to go looking at people in various states of undress & nakedness. It would most likely have made my SA husband even worse. Needless to say, we quit that therapist!
On what basis did Weiss justify telling your husband to leave you & break covenant vows with you? That's just horrible.
Correction, I think it was before Psalmist David committed adultery with another man's wife that ge said that. Nevertheless, he said it.
How can a man be so passionate about this sin without personal experience? Very unlikely… Sounds like Dr Weiss has had passed personal experience with being withheld. I could be wrong, but very unlikely lol
