    • @JenniferMyers
      @JenniferMyers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +925

I was born with thick brows (although they've thinned significantly as I've aged)...but my lashes were nowhere near what they look like now. I don't have dedicated before pics (although of course I have pictures of me from 7 years ago - not close up zoomed into my lashes, I'm talking about). The reason for that is because when I started my castor oil massage protocol, I had no expectation of it working. I thought I had nothing to lose, because my lashes have always been typical Asian lashes (average in length and not very thick)...I never expected them to grow to how they look now. That being said, keep in mind that it took over 3 months for me to even see a slight difference, and I almost quit (twice lol). Because I thought, "it's not doing anything." Boy was I wrong. Also keep in mind that doing anything for 7 years consistently each night is a long time! All these years of practicing oil massage has nourished the roots and my entire eye area, in fact. I credit it with my smooth eye skin, too, not just my lashes.

Castor oil DOES work...it will make you lashes grow longer and thicker. However keep in mind genetics restrictions...they will allow your lashes to grow in a healthy setting according to what your genetics dictate. So some may get her same length or less or even more. You're only allowed to grow the best lashes of your nature only. I had religiously been on castor oil for two years and yes those two years I had the best lashes of my life though I stopped in concern of hurting my eyes on the long run. There has been some studies that link oil to inflammation in the eye ball. Nothing sealed though. I just got worried and I basically think my eye sight is more valuable than the appearance of my eye lashes. I wish somebody can scientifically eliminate any possible danger from using castor oil on your eyes. (Btw doesn t help much trying not to get it in, whatever you put on your eye lids does get in one way or another)

@@colabpro2615I have been using the castor oil RELIGIOUSLY for 3 years now. It can be MONTHS seeing no difference and then suddenly a magnificent change occurs. The castor oil needs to be applied every evening after cleansing your face. Be sure all your makeup is removed. I believe this step is critical. Lightly massage the castor oil around your eyes and along the eyelids. It’s soooooooo exciting to see the changes. It’s been 3 years and I’ve missed maybe 10 days. It takes time to build a mountain and it takes time to grow lash’s. My 3 year anniversary was exciting as my left eye had shorter lashes and mascara was more difficult to evenly apply. I now have longer lusher lash’s. Many videos claim these results can be achieved in 30 days. In my experience I can honestly say it takes a lot more time to achieve the desired results. Jennifer was the reason I kept up with the regime. Blessings to everyone 🌟🙏🌟

I’ve been regularly using castor oil on my lashes every night for the last month and I can see some visible differences, not only they’re longer but also fuller. I’ve sent some pics to my mom n sis (I haven’t seen them in person for almost a year) and they were shocked by how much my lashes grew.
I apply the oil exactly how it’s shown in the video and I believe it’s more effective than using a mascara wand (n also more sanitary, if you’re using the wand don’t forget to clean it after every use).
My only advice is to not overdo it cuz it can clog the glands in your “waterline” (I believe that’s the translation in English). Since I was bored during quarantine I was applying it daily n nightly for a couple of days and I ended up having little blisters that seemed to have a transparent liquid inside in my waterline (nothing to worry about, it was just a bit clogged and quitting the castor oil for a little bit less than a week made them go away). Anyhow, be mindful of that! Doing it nightly has been working wonderfully for me... Thank you, Jennifer! 💕

My friends n i used castor oil on eyelashes some years ago. All of us got amazing results. Our lashes grew so spidery long,it was amazing... we saw results after 2-3 weeks n continued to use for around 6 months after that. N v sort of stopped, coz it’s hard to keep up the routine,n the length n thickness reduced n went back to the way it was before! So if u guys r interested in trying it out, definitely do,but bear in mind it will only b long n thick while using it,if u stop,ur back to square one.

This works.. I did this 5-6 years ago and definitely my lashes were much longer (not as long as her). I only did this for a few months. When i had mascara, the girls told me that my eyelashes looked like fake eyelashes and the boys asked me if i had fake lashes haha.. I think if i did this for more time (years), it would definitely be a bigger difference.
    I would add:
    - I had applied castor oil at night before sleep, every night (when i woke up i felt a slight burn in my eyes, comfortable.. i felt my eyes a little tired)
    - I applied this on the eyebrows too, i had very thin eyebrows (it was a trend then, but i wanted to change their form because they were shaped like "nike" lol and it works)
-It's NOT genetic, i don't have big eyelashes naturally, i even have them very short..
-I would like to try this again ♡

Hi Jennifer- I have been following your method for about 4 days now & I'm wondering what you do with the excess when you're done massaging? Wipe it off or keep rubbing it in? It looks like you using even more oil than I do. It's making me crazy that my lashes feel gummed up in the morning. If you don't have this problem then I would chalk it up to the fact that i am using a different brand of organic castor oil. I will definitely switch if that's the case & it's not an issue for you. Please let me know. THANK YOU so much for sharing this beauty secret=)
I have Meibomian Gland Dysfunction- the oil glands of my eyes don't produce enough oil to maintain the lipid balance of my tear solution. This is due to underlying inflammation shrinking the glands & causing my eyes to be severely dry (tears evaporate). I learned yesterday that CASTOR OIL is antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal & anti-inflammatory. It can actually be used directly in the eyes as eye drops!!!! It's been well studied & done for ages. I tried it last night & my eyes were greatly improved & moisturized all night! I was surprised that the constant redness disappeared & my eyes were white & clear looking again! I LOVE CASTOR OIL!!!! I just need to work out my gummed up eyelashes issue LOL...

Women are so pre-occupied with having long eye lashes. It is because it is a beauty standard for women. They use mascara, eyeliner, and even false eyelashes to have the look. I also have have scaled down my eye makeup usage which I'm sure was hindering my progress, as Jennifer had stated before she does not wear mascara typically. I also am going to try a different bottle of castor oil since I suspect mines is slightly lower quality from the price i paid for it :) dont be discouraged if you dont see results because like Jennifer says it's good for the hair and skin even if it doesnt make them grow very quickly! 💜 the nightly eye massage also does wonders for me too and I'm grateful i found you on youtube!!

I've been leaving it on overnight on both my eyelashes and my eyebrows (applying minoxidil 2hrs before to dry in before applying the castor oil). I have seen INSANE growth in both areas. When using Minoxidil alone in the past, the results where nowhere as good. (2 months of usage)

@@colabpro2615 Hi, yes, they've both continued growing (impressively). I'm still consistent with them both, I'm trying to figure out a way to link pictures of when I started vs. now - but it works!

Can you apply minoxidil on eyelashes? I thought minoxidil isn’t supposed to be used on lashes/eye area.

@@olgaath1511 You're not really supposed to, but I've been mixing a little with some castor oil and haven't noticed any terrible effects yet (bear in mind I'm still in my 20s though).

@@Oskarjlee just use castor oil on your face/eyes/lashes(not sure if it grows lashes cause I already have long lashes, both of my parents have), that’s the only thing I use and spf in the morning. The simplest skincare ever. I’m 42!

Caster oil is used directly inside the eyes in india to cleanse before sleeping . It will cloud but it's a form of cleaning . It's safe . And yes it promotes eye sight and hair growth ( lash/ eyebrows ) if you feel burning after the oil gets in the eyes it's normal . Don't worry let it work it should feel normal in a few seconds .

Jenn finally ordered after so many months. Can't help but think that I would have been further along. I tattood my eyeliner 8 or so years ago (regret) and I feel my lashes have never grown abundantly after the ink. All the best stay safe!

I tried it for a while and it made my eyes super heavy and irritated the following day. I had to wash it out with a foaming cleanser in the morning and sometimes that wouldn't even take it off. Now I use an offbrand of latisse from reliable RX and it's a bit drying but not nearly as heavy.

I started using caster oil after watching your review. Its been 15 weeks now i m using it every single night. I definitely noticed they are growing slowly. They are thicker but not long. Just wanna tell that i had long and thick eyelashes before. But by the time they started get thinner, possibly age factor. I am 35 now. I hope will get some dramatic change. Will update.

Tbh when I started using castor oil for my lashes I honestly noticed a different within the first week. Both my upper lashes & my bottom lashes literally grew! & continue to do so! Thank you castor oil! 💟
