Ive been doing this FOR YEARS. im 65 and everyone thinks im mid 40s. I use Palmers Coco butter stick. Its not so greasy, its natural, and it sinks right in after 3 to 5 minutes.
When in high school, easy 80’s😊, figured out two things: chapstick worked great on brows, and mixing foundation with moisturizer made a tinted moisturizer before that was a product. Never thought anything about either of these, just figured it out….
I totally forgot about the chapstick on brows for some reason even though I did same years ago. Always have chapstick on hand to time my frizzy curly hair in a pjnch on the go.
Use the vaseline jelly that is the Vaseline brand! That one is triple cleaned and is incredible for your whole face, and miraculous under your eyes! Im in my 70s and without any makeup I look like im in my forties! I do also put castor oil on my face.. i just alternate nights!! We all have to stick together!!!
Speaking of stick together.. Do you do anything about the stickiness of the castor oil and pillow cases...Is there anything you put on your face to keep it off every thing?
Under eye creasing has been an issue that I find, no concealer can escape. At 60+, undereye issues are inevitable. Thought I'd try this hack, but I'm abroad and Aquaphor is not easily available. Thought I'd try my favorite balm from Blistex. Not the traditional waxy balms but the DEEP RENEWAL. OMG...works great. Hope this helps for those who can't find Eucerin Aquaphor. ❤
@@user-go3vs5lz4d I don’t think it would. The texture is completely different. The lip product is wax based where Aquaphor is mainly petroleum and castor oil. Your under eyes would be a greasy mess if you use the ointment before concealer.
I have terrible under eye circles (no bags, just dark circles). I heard about the Aquaphor trick and tried it yesterday. Not perfect but WAY better than usual. I used concealer and E.l.f powder. It can't hurt and looks better than anything else I have tried.

love this, since the 80s my mum has been doing this and breaking vitamin e capsules and rubbing it in around her eyes to help the wrinkles she's 65 and looks 48! I saw this hack on another influencer’s channel. I tried it an hour ago. I didn’t have that powder so I used Wet N Wild photo focus powder. I’m excited to see how it looks this afternoon! I just found you through the video you did with Angie and now I'm heading to the drugstore to buy that lip balm and powder! I'm 45 and while my lines aren't bad thanks to tretinoin, spf, and red light therapy I do always get one solid crease under my eyes almost the instant I put on concealer. Excited to try this out especially since they're drugstore products!

Way too much and HEAVY. No thank you. Gabi is GORGEOUS. But at 64, no way in hades can women do this and enjoy a natural and quick out the door get ready in the morning look, as l have been chasing a youth that is long gone. The regular Aquaphor works just as well. I’ve used the Vaseline stick and it looks just as good. This is not a new technique, the Westmore’s used Vaseline under Marilyn Monoroes makeup. 🌷
All the Aquaphor is the same in different packaging. Large tubes and tubs for large parts of the body and mini tubes and sticks for lip area. They just get us with the tiny packaging. I would think that it's the aculsive that makes it work just like those serum sticks brands make . Refy just came out with a new undereye stick and I think it's probably just a more expensive version of the Aquaphor stick .

@@SS-lt3mh this is the best technique ever. Light use During the day after the day routine. And Vaseline look wonderful under the makeup. It will make everything just blend seamlessly. It does work like a live filter ( pls don’t get me wrong I used to use CT Hollywood filter, Lancôme, Chanel, ysl. Silicon based products. however I prefer this method, it does look natural- like your skin but better) and thick layer after the night routine, that will lock all the products in place, and you will have a beautiful, silky skin next morning. ( I use it after shower too 😊) I am almost 40 and people thinks that I am in my mid 20s. When I had patents meetings Few of my teenager son’s teachers thought I am his older sister. Despite I have silver/ white hair. 😅

I "self-discovered" this trick yesterday, I've been using vaseline for my lips, hands and even eyelids when they are too dry or flaking, but never occurred to me to use it before doing my make-up, and yesterday, after putting on make up and concealer, my eyes looked terribly dry and flaking, I washed them, put some hydration and a little bit of pure Vaseline, then I put on the concealer again and I was 😮 shoked, it looked great! I did it again today and it worked just perfectly. I'm so happy 😂
Went straight to Amazon and ordered a two-pack of the Aquaphor lip balm, LOL. I'm 59 and I need all the help I can get. I had to laugh when you were doing your blush and said that as you get older, it looks better when you apply it higher. I thought about how 20-30 years ago, it was all about smiling and putting the blush on the apples of your cheeks. If I were to do that now, my blush would be down by the corners of my mouth when I wasn't smiling 🤣🤣🤣

Today I used this trick with lipstick. I live in Germany and Aquaphor can be bought in pharmacies here, but it is expensive, so I used the classic Bebe lipstick. I did my makeup in the morning and I'm still shocked at how good the area under my eyes looks! It is perfectly smooth. Unbelievable.
I've been doing this for a few years, but only at bedtime for a moisture seal of sorts. My skin feels wonderful in the morning. I will play around with incorporating into makeup prep now. 70 and still loving new ideas. Thanks
If you want to avoid milia, the REM eye balm works just as well. I did one eye with the maybelline powder over concealer (very sparingly) and one eye with the Givenchy. The maybelline side DEFINTIELY looks drier and shows more lines
Gabi, you are adorable, I can't even!!! 🥰 I literally bought the Aquaphor lip balm yesterday and did my under eyes with it today. I was impressed! It worked better than my other under eye brightening products to get the concealer to stick and stay stuck all day. One try has this area right in the pocket that seems to repel every product I try. It still didn't look as good as my "normal' eye, but it was a noticeable improvement! ❤
What color did you use in the Maybelline powder? I noticed you had two compacts in your hand but not sure if you went lighter or kept it close to your foundation color.
I didn't have the aquaphore brand lip balm but I had some vaseline lip balm that I tried this morning and I'm sold! I don't generally use concealer under my eyes because I don't feel I need it but I'm 61 and have plenty of lines around my eyes so even the smallest bit of foundation or powder looks horrible. I put the lip balm under my eyes, on the corners of my mouth, and the corners of my nose where sometimes it looks dry or patchy. Then just did my makeup as usual with true match serum foundation, RCMA powder under the eyes and t zone and it's been 9 hours and those lip balm areas look perfect still. I was expecting my mascara and eye liner to slide down under my eyes but nope. AMAZING!
I could have gone viral, I figured this out months ago on accident. Just like many moms I got up and had to run out the door. The night before I had done the slugging technique on my under eye. Well the next morning I didn’t have time to really wash my face. I just rinsed it put on a little face makeup and ran out the door. It stayed flawlessly, no creases and it was because the aquaphor I put on the night before. So I have been using aquaphor lip balm on my under eye and it really works. Everything stays moisturized and it creases so much less. Love it! I wish I had passed this on before and I could be a viral contributor making millions now! 😂😂😂😂

I would think the makeup would move or crease more with something as heavy as lip balm, but maybe it's the other products that help too? I'm going to give it a try!
Gabi, I think Dermatone salve would do the same as Aquafore. Same idea but different brand. Basically they give a barrier that fills in the cracks (wrinkles) and provides a siliconey finish to put other bases on top of.

Whenever I take a selfie I’m like’do I really look like that?’ Secondly while I was watching the video my daughter said she was going to Target and I told her “get me this!” and I showed her the picture of the lip balm 😂😂. I do the hemorrhoid cream trick sometimes. Another one I heard was that if your undereyes are puffy or bagging, use a little bit of allergy eye drops. Lip balm or thick primer can go over top of either of those.
One of my best friends father is a news anchor and he told her that trick so of course she taught us🙂💞 it definitely works, haven’t used it in years though… nowadays I don’t drink and party all night and have class at 8am😂
Aquaphor is one of the most incredible products. I use the version in a tub container for my lips every night to prevent dry/cracking lips. I use the balm stick version for on the go use. Will definitely be giving this a try!

I have actually done this lip balm hack for years. And contouring before it became a thing.... I am ahead of my time 😂 I actually sometimes use Lip balm on my eyebrows too.

Oh I am sold, Gabi! Question, I see Aquaphor has a lip repair stick and lip balms, with or without SPF. Do they all work for this technique or stay with just the repair stick?
I did this before, on and under my eyes, but never anywhere else on my face. The reason I tried it was because I was broke and didn't know anything about makeup, nor did I have a lot. I used blush on my eyes, cheeks and lips and bronzer on my face and crease of my eyes. The lip balm also helped the shimmer on my lids pop. It looked good, I forgot about this as i don't wear makeup often but now I'm getting into it, I'll give it a go again.

The Milani Supercharge corrector under the eye is a must have, and a hidden gem (comes in pink, peach and orange.) It’s perfect for drier, dehydrated, crapey under eyes with darkness you need to camouflage without being heavy or drying like so many under eye correctors and brighteners. The Physician Formula Instaready concealer (if you have light skin) also is a one and done that’s incredibly skin like while being thin and full coverage. It’s much like the beloved BH Studio Pro corrector/concealer they discontinued but better. Those cream to powder products work well alone, so are we sure the Aquafor is why this works? It actually brought back the drier creasy look after she applied that, but the cream foundation products like L’Oréal and Revlon cream foundations in the compacts are skin like while being really thin and working great as a skin like concealer rather than a foundation and it’s great for touch ups.
I'm 63 and I feel like my lips just faded into my face. When the nude lip came along I was 😵💫😵. I think nude lips are awful. I think they make folks look washed out.
Omg I’m amazed cause I just started using the aquaphor soothing skin balm cause I have a dry patch under my eyes and I use this balm for my baby’s diaper rash and is a game changer .. now that I used it under my eyes I’ve noticed a good difference after a couple of days, but I was worried it could be too heavy for the area… now I see I wasn’t wrong by using it!
I haven't tried this hack yet but this is my go-to for cuticles all winter, it's amazing, it will take the sting out of a hang nail and heal it overnight❤

Absolutely beautiful, and Scott Barnes is the man. I love him! I am 59 years old and have never worn concealer because I don't have dark circles or discoloration under my eyes, but this trick has made want to just try it. I think I will buy an inexpensive concealer so I can try this.

I’ve been using the baby aquaphor for a while, started after I got the powder brows. It was by accident, it helps. Sometimes I use it later in the day if I get cracky . Works great on eyebrows to hold them in place in a softer way, less crunchy way.
@@driamikala yes, it seems to blend foundation creasing, under eye and around my mouth. You can just swipe it or put some on your finger and swipe. Another use is for cracked fingers in the winter, rub it in the crack during the day, or before bed. I have really dry skin so whatever moisture I can get the better.

Eucerin Aquaphor lip balm contains great skincare ingredients like Panthenol (i.e. vitamin B5), Castor oil, Shea butter, Bisabolol, Beeswax, Glycerin, Vit. E, & Vit. C. The great news is that it DOES NOT contain petroleum products like Paraffin (in other Beiersdorf products like some Nivea creams), or silicones. I saw this hack on another influencer’s channel. I tried it an hour ago. I didn’t have that powder so I used Wet N Wild photo focus powder. I’m excited to see how it looks this afternoon! I just found you through the video you did with Angie and now I'm heading to the drugstore to buy that lip balm and powder! I'm 45 and while my lines aren't bad thanks to tretinoin, spf, and red light therapy I do always get one solid crease under my eyes almost the instant I put on concealer. Excited to try this out especially since they're drugstore products!

The regular Aquaphor works just as well. I’ve used the Vaseline stick and it looks just as good. This is not a new technique, the Westmore’s used Vaseline under Marilyn Monoroes makeup. 🌷
The moisturizer?
All the Aquaphor is the same in different packaging. Large tubes and tubs for large parts of the body and mini tubes and sticks for lip area. They just get us with the tiny packaging. I would think that it's the aculsive that makes it work just like those serum sticks brands make . Refy just came out with a new undereye stick and I think it's probably just a more expensive version of the Aquaphor stick .

@@SS-lt3mh this is the best technique ever. Light use During the day after the day routine. And Vaseline look wonderful under the makeup. It will make everything just blend seamlessly. It does work like a live filter ( pls don’t get me wrong I used to use CT Hollywood filter, Lancôme, Chanel, ysl. Silicon based products. however I prefer this method, it does look natural- like your skin but better) and thick layer after the night routine, that will lock all the products in place, and you will have a beautiful, silky skin next morning. ( I use it after shower too 😊) I am almost 40 and people thinks that I am in my mid 20s. When I had patents meetings Few of my teenager son’s teachers thought I am his older sister. Despite I have silver/ white hair. 😅

I "self-discovered" this trick yesterday, I've been using vaseline for my lips, hands and even eyelids when they are too dry or flaking, but never occurred to me to use it before doing my make-up, and yesterday, after putting on make up and concealer, my eyes looked terribly dry and flaking, I washed them, put some hydration and a little bit of pure Vaseline, then I put on the concealer again and I was 😮 shoked, it looked great! I did it again today and it worked just perfectly. I'm so happy 😂
Went straight to Amazon and ordered a two-pack of the Aquaphor lip balm, LOL. I'm 59 and I need all the help I can get. I had to laugh when you were doing your blush and said that as you get older, it looks better when you apply it higher. I thought about how 20-30 years ago, it was all about smiling and putting the blush on the apples of your cheeks. If I were to do that now, my blush would be down by the corners of my mouth when I wasn't smiling 🤣🤣🤣

Today I used this trick with lipstick. I live in Germany and Aquaphor can be bought in pharmacies here, but it is expensive, so I used the classic Bebe lipstick. I did my makeup in the morning and I'm still shocked at how good the area under my eyes looks! It is perfectly smooth. Unbelievable.
I used the Aquaphor with different concealers and powders and my under eyes look great now every time. Amazing!!

If you want to avoid milia, the REM eye balm works just as well. I did one eye with the maybelline powder over concealer (very sparingly) and one eye with the Givenchy. The maybelline side DEFINTIELY looks drier and shows more lines

I literally bought the Aquaphor lip balm yesterday and did my under eyes with it today. I was impressed! It worked better than my other under eye brightening products to get the concealer to stick and stay stuck all day. One try has this area right in the pocket that seems to repel every product I try. It still didn't look as good as my "normal' eye, but it was a noticeable improvement! ❤
What color did you use in the Maybelline powder? I noticed you had two compacts in your hand but not sure if you went lighter or kept it close to your foundation color.
I didn't have the aquaphore brand lip balm but I had some vaseline lip balm that I tried this morning and I'm sold! I don't generally use concealer under my eyes because I don't feel I need it but I'm 61 and have plenty of lines around my eyes so even the smallest bit of foundation or powder looks horrible. I put the lip balm under my eyes, on the corners of my mouth, and the corners of my nose where sometimes it looks dry or patchy. Then just did my makeup as usual with true match serum foundation, RCMA powder under the eyes and t zone and it's been 9 hours and those lip balm areas look perfect still. I was expecting my mascara and eye liner to slide down under my eyes but nope. AMAZING!
I could have gone viral, I figured this out months ago on accident. Just like many moms I got up and had to run out the door. The night before I had done the slugging technique on my under eye. Well the next morning I didn’t have time to really wash my face. I just rinsed it put on a little face makeup and ran out the door. It stayed flawlessly, no creases and it was because the aquaphor I put on the night before. So I have been using aquaphor lip balm on my under eye and it really works. Everything stays moisturized and it creases so much less. Love it! I wish I had passed this on before and I could be a viral contributor making millions now! 😂😂😂😂

Gabi, I think Dermatone salve would do the same as Aquafore. Same idea but different brand. Basically they give a barrier that fills in the cracks (wrinkles) and provides a siliconey finish to put other bases on top of.

Whenever I take a selfie I’m like’do I really look like that?’ Secondly while I was watching the video my daughter said she was going to Target and I told her “get me this!” and I showed her the picture of the lip balm 😂😂. I do the hemorrhoid cream trick sometimes. Another one I heard was that if your undereyes are puffy or bagging, use a little bit of allergy eye drops. Lip balm or thick primer can go over top of either of those.
Nasonex allergy nose spray works well for bags
I did that for years.
One of my best friends father is a news anchor and he told her that trick so of course she taught us🙂💞 it definitely works, haven’t used it in years though… nowadays I don’t drink and party all night and have class at 8am😂

Aquaphor is one of the most incredible products. I use the version in a tub container for my lips every night to prevent dry/cracking lips. I use the balm stick version for on the go use. Will definitely be giving this a try!

I apply the aquahor lip balm with sunscreen the same way. Added protection. Also use on eyelids. No issues. Been doing for an awhile now.

Even at the end of the day, I had light creasing bc I’m still a human and not a plastic robot, but it was MUCH better the it usually is. Aquaphor for the win! It helped the laugh lines a lot too!
Oh I am sold, Gabi! Question, I see Aquaphor has a lip repair stick and lip balms, with or without SPF. Do they all work for this technique or stay with just the repair stick?
I did this before, on and under my eyes, but never anywhere else on my face.
The reason I tried it was because I was broke and didn't know anything about makeup, nor did I have a lot.
I used blush on my eyes, cheeks and lips and bronzer on my face and crease of my eyes. The lip balm also helped the shimmer on my lids pop.
It looked good, I forgot about this as i don't wear makeup often but now I'm getting into it, I'll give it a go again.

The Milani Supercharge corrector under the eye is a must have, and a hidden gem (comes in pink, peach and orange.) It’s perfect for drier, dehydrated, crapey under eyes with darkness you need to camouflage without being heavy or drying like so many under eye correctors and brighteners. The Physician Formula Instaready concealer (if you have light skin) also is a one and done that’s incredibly skin like while being thin and full coverage. It’s much like the beloved BH Studio Pro corrector/concealer they discontinued but better.
Those cream to powder products work well alone, so are we sure the Aquafor is why this works? It actually brought back the drier creasy look after she applied that, but the cream foundation products like L’Oréal and Revlon cream foundations in the compacts are skin like while being really thin and working great as a skin like concealer rather than a foundation and it’s great for touch ups.

I'm 63 and I feel like my lips just faded into my face. When the nude lip came along I was 😵💫😵. I think nude lips are awful. I think they make folks look washed out.
Omg I’m amazed cause I just started using the aquaphor soothing skin balm cause I have a dry patch under my eyes and I use this balm for my baby’s diaper rash and is a game changer .. now that I used it under my eyes I’ve noticed a good difference after a couple of days, but I was worried it could be too heavy for the area… now I see I wasn’t wrong by using it!
I haven't tried this hack yet but this is my go-to for cuticles all winter, it's amazing, it will take the sting out of a hang nail and heal it overnight❤

I’ve been using the baby aquaphor for a while, started after I got the powder brows. It was by accident, it helps. Sometimes I use it later in the day if I get cracky . Works great on eyebrows to hold them in place in a softer way, less crunchy way.

@@driamikala yes, it seems to blend foundation creasing, under eye and around my mouth. You can just swipe it or put some on your finger and swipe. Another use is for cracked fingers in the winter, rub it in the crack during the day, or before bed. I have really dry skin so whatever moisture I can get the better.

Eucerin Aquaphor lip balm contains great skincare ingredients like Panthenol (i.e. vitamin B5), Castor oil, Shea butter, Bisabolol, Beeswax, Glycerin, Vit. E, & Vit. C. The great news is that it DOES NOT contain petroleum products like Paraffin (in other Beiersdorf products like some Nivea creams), or silicones. Makes sense that it would be an awesome undereye cream 😊. Thanks for showing us this hack !
