  • Bidean nam Bian (meaning Pinnacle of the Mountains) is the whole majestic range of mountains on the south side of Glencoe. It’s dramatic northern ridges are known as the Three Sisters.
Starting from the Three Sisters carpark on the A82 we headed into the valley between Beinn Fhada and Gearr Aonach passing some of the finest scenery we’ve ever had the pleasure to witness and into the Lost Valley. From there we ascended and summited our first peak - Stob Coire Sgreamhach. We stayed on the ridge line to summit Bidean nam Bian, the highest peak in Glencoe. It’s was then an out and back to Stob Coire nam Beith. After arriving back at Bidean nam Bian for a second time we descended towards Stob Coire nan Lochan for our final summit before a rocky and then a quick descent back to the carpark. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of three Red Deer along the way.

I love these videos .. no inane talking leaving us to hear the streams and wind and even the silence in the clag and a bit of heavy breathing!

Thank you very much, really appreciate your comments. Our intention is to let the scenery speak for itself. Nobody wants to hear us waffling on when in such fantastic locations.

Thank you... Seeing this scene from above (14:00) is almost impossible to reach for me. We were there in August and wondered what it might look like from up there.

Thanks! Yes, yesterday was a far better day. Got a little claggy on the tops but no real biggy considering the views going up and coming down. However there was a worrying time near one of the summits when we heard thunder and saw a distant lightning strike. Not a place to be when you see that! Luckily it was isolated and no more occurred.

If this is what it takes not to speak to my wife for 4.30hrs….. I’d best get training! 😂….
This is only the second video I’ve watched (so far).. of yours,… and once again superb 👌. Stunning scenery and excellent camerawork.
You two are ex Army aren’t you?… No right minded, KFC eating civilian could run like you two ha… I am sooooo impressed. Inspirational. It’s funny, coz where I live, (Teesside) we have three hills on the skyline up on the North Yorkshire Moors, which my friend named them ‘the three sisters’…. And it honestly took me MONTHS (actually…. YEARS!) to muster up the energy, belief and fitness to attempt to conquer them in one loop.
I walked them by the way ha,… but I did it and I was BUZZING for weeks afterwards ha. It was 7mile loop, and it took me 4hrs! (Picnic on last ha).. but you two!….. well If I had a hat, I’d tip it to you. Well done. Luv vids,.. amazing. Keep em coming and don’t sprain an ankle 🤬.. And if you want a real challenge try our ‘three sisters!’….. 15 minutes max! 😝😂🤣

Thank you, appreciate your kind comments. We use a GoPro Hero8 Black and record in 4K. Quite impressive little cameras where light levels are good 👍

Hey there. Superb video and has convinced me to try this out on holiday this weekend. Were there any sketchy scrambles? I've seen a few videos online but most of them are from climbers who are probably looking for that sort of thing. I, on the other hand, want to do exactly what you did.

It’s a cracking route. Nothing really sketchy as such, a few boulders to hop over and the odd scree path up and down but other than that a great route. Have the got the ability to follow a GPX route? If so, I can send you the exact route we took from the roadside parking area if it helps. May be tomorrow evening before I can upload it though.

@@TrailRunningCouple That would be elite. I was hoping to get it on the Garmin and follow that for nav. I have messaged you on facebook with a GPX route I made a few minutes ago. Let me know if I'm on the right track

@@TrailRunningCouple it would be amazing if you could post a link to the gpx I'm the description. Also, is this doable in February?

@@fbarnea Hi, I've added a link to my Dropbox for the GPX file.
As for if it's doable in February I honestly couldn't tell you. This was our first time in Scotland and it was August if I remember rightly. Best of luck with it, it's an epic route 👍
