Hey folks ! Il be heading to Scotland again in the new year around the Inverness I have unfinished business in the area but these locations should get u started if u have any desires to visit the country. Hope u all enjoy the holidays !!
A place you miss and many do, is the view across the river Clyde in Greenock overlooking Gourock, form the Lyall hill at the monument dedicated to the sinking of a french ship WW2, outstanding view
@@delilahboahello and thank you for replying 🌷. I'll certainly look up the Isle of Mull. I'm based in England and was considering a move to the Scottish countryside. As children we spent time in the Dumfries & Galloway area as my parents had a holiday home there. Really stunning scenery. Sadly, I know very little about the parts further north apart from reading about it. I would love to tour and see it for myself, but have three adopted rescue dogs, two from overseas who had horrific lives and they don't travel well. The whole country looks stunning but seems a bit unstable politically at the moment 🦋.
As a proud Welshman, Scotland is my guilty pleasure, beautiful all year round with generous people. Worth as many visits as you can fit in, respect the place, it’s very special.
What a wonderful trip to Scotland I have just taken. Thank you so much for this wonderful video… I’m 85 years old and cannot make these strips anymore, so from the comfort of my living room, I can be there in spirit, at least… Thank you again!… From Delta British Columbia, Canada.
I recently spent few days in Pitlochry and Perth, and i must say i had a most wonderful time. Anywhere you go, this place has a scenery to offer with its glens, lochs, waterfalls, picturesque towns and woods
I have worked in many countries & witnessed their beauty, I of course love the beauty of my land, Scotland. The world is full of contrasting beauties & I am so proud that Scotia is amongst them. 💙🏴
Such a beautiful country although the areas with lots of lush trees would be on my shortlist. The islands are gorgeous but personally I would miss trees.
I just got back from traveling most of these places. Nothing prepares you for the sights in Glencoe and the Three Sisters mountains. It was my favorite. The Kelpies were also unbelievable. You don't realize how massive they are until you're standing underneath them.
You should visit Michael as one can walk all over the Country and have no fear of trespassing excepting military and other obvious places , all the mountains are there for you to walk and enjoy.
My husband and I have just watched this on our television - I’m now on my IPad! …… I just wanted to say we thought it was brilliant….. the way you put this video together was just so enjoyable to watch………what an incredible part of the world, we’ve been lucky to visit Loch Ness and the Isle of Mull many times and this year we’re going to Ardnamurchan, can’t wait!….. thanks again for this video, loved it 👍🏻👍🏻
You have a few 'different' destinations on here, which is welcome, although the South of Scotland is still unrepresented. How about Melrose, or Jedburgh, with their abbeys; Dumfries or Kirkcudbright? And what about St Andrews, Falkland and Culross? I know they can't all be included in one film, but how about what is feasible as day trips, from where? The Fife and Borders destinations are certainly feasible day trips from Edinburgh, while D&G, Loch Lomond and Arran are from Glasgow....
I spent 2 weeks in Scotland in the early '00s. As a whole, Scots are the friendliest, most helpful people I've ever encountered. Great trip (we went in early October). Notes about Castle Stalker: It's a private residence. It also served as Castle Arrrrrrgh in the Monty Python comedy "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".
What happened to Dundee? The home of the Discovery which took Scott on his first trip to Antarctica. It’s the city which is famous for Jute Jam and Journalism. Close to Glamis castle, the Queens view which is spectacular and right next to St Andrews etc etc etc
Great clip but ask any scots person and they will come up with their own version, personally my neck of the woods is the best number 3 on the list, also like to say that Perth was indeed once the capital of Scotland but then it was called "St Johnstone" hence the name of the football team who come from Perth, thank you for this wonderful video, God Bless.
I enjoyed your vid enormously (would definitely would have an even much longer vid should you decide to elaborate the scenes at each location... im an old gal kinda stuck in the states but travel vis other people's cameras certainly brightens whatever day it falls on . Thank you so much for your time and efforts I've subbed in ❤😊
Love this, so much info especially for getting out of the usual areas. It is definitely somewhere I want to visit one day. The scenery and castles look so beautiful.
Excellent selection of places to visit in Scotland, we've been lucky enough to visit many of your highlighted choices...however, our personal favourite place is the Outer Hebrides, perfect to explore by campervan! Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Simon and Elaine
A masterful video, including much first class drone shots. An excellent selection of locations, as good a revue of Scottish places as I have seen. Congratulations on a masterpiece of video and narrative. Many thanks. Rmb5*

Been to Scotland 4 times for weeks at a time. I've seen most of the 25 on your list, it's hard to argue with a list, it's a great list and the video was excellent!!! However, my list would remove Perth (one of the most depressing places I've been in Scotland and I've rarely felt that way in Scotland) along with Wallace Monument, Kilchurn Castle, & Castle Stalker (all 3 are cool but not epic visits). Other places NOT on your list that I loved: Sandwood Bay, Old Shoremore Bay, Camusdarach Beach, Lochinver (Achmelvich Beach & Suilven), Islay (peaty distilleries, beaches, & great golf), Speyside (whisky trail), St. Andrews, & Pitlochary.
Yes thank you ISle of Islay is missing from this list . Most of all the village Town of Port Ellen and Port Charlotte and Bruichladdies peaty Whiskey. Thanks.
Hi, Where to start discovering Scotland, how to establish such a cool and interesting route for the whole year, can you help with this?, thank you, ;-)
Start south and take a journey north west and visit skye or any western island then go to orkney and if possible shetland. It wont matter about your destinations so much the journey alone will be enough as the whole country is beautiful.
Is there another way to pronounce it? It must be really irritating to have someone pronounce it wrong. I lived in Edzell and the Aberdeen area from 69-70 (attended the local school) and we just loved Scotland. My twin girls are coming with their husbands this year, one in July and one in December. The one in July has never been any farther than England so I know she is really going to enjoy this trip.
@@Reneelwaring alot of people don't get the "ch" part, and often pronounce it as "lock", to be fair, they usually aren't from Scotland, and we all know how it should be said, but it's a sound not really found in English, it's in other languages like Dutch, and even Arabic, here, it's the Gaelic influence, that peppers our language.
