    I left the cooler and egr in place. I plan to remove it sometime but it has no adverse effects other than the way it looks. The installation guide details how to unplug everything. The pictures are not that good but their customer support is top notch

    About 2 years after this and the truck is still running strong. About 130k miles on the rig now. Averaging 22-25 mpg. I still have the setup the exact same way I ordered the plates but have yet to put them on.

      Hello, I have the same truck with the 6.7. I want to do the same delete kit and tuner. Do you have to get emissions at any time or are you exempt? Because I have to get it checked every two years which is done by reading the OBDTool. If so do you have to do anything special. Your reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    i got a 4.5 inch 90* aluminum elbow and a hump hose for the stock air box to smooth out the flow and a afe pro dry drop in. i feel it just as good as a CAI . very happy how it turned out

    also, I run it with the exhaust brake on all the time. One, its good for the turbo, two it will save your service brakes and three(most important), it sounds like a jet when its cold or slowing down from a high speed. I will post this in a video. I am still running with the CAT on it. @123, I wouldn't worry about the emissions testing, coming from washington state theres an easy way to beat the snap test, plus these H&S tunes are way cleaner than edge or smarty.

      Steve Harman i’m just scrolling through youtube and am just now watching this video but i just took off my fender well cover and it gave access right to the down pipe and shimmied it down right through there.. still complicated but not as complicated and labor intensive as dropping cross member

      @@jordanjones2185 wow that was a long time ago. My post says 2 years ago, lol. Anyway, I did the same (pulled my fender well out, but still had to drop the cross member. I think it was likely the 5" pipe. Maybe you and I got a different turbo back pipe too.

    excellent. again i still have the cat on it. mainly to deal with the constant drone that it will make. i've got no cELs since changing it out. I will be doing my first oil change soon to show you the difference in what the egr/dpf will do to your oil supply.

    @jagz7762 The clutch holds up ok, as in i have not had any issues with putting it on the mild setting. I think that part of the mileage gains that I have seen(+3-4 city, +5 highway) are greatly affected by where i live and the trucks gearing. I live in a place where most of the highways are 55-65 MPH so you will get a decent gain from that alone whether you were deleted or not. @ adamThe jetta mats were extra from the wife's TDI.

    The stock clutch handles the power very well,not to good on the HOT setting(performance). I highly recomened a South Bend Clutch. Depending on the modifications that are done to the truck you can see usually a 3 to 4 miles per gallon gain. I recomened removing the EGR/cooler lowers EGT's and by removing does not re-route hot exhaust gasses back into the motor,you would be suprise how much soot is in the EGR/cooler. And it will remove all codes, code free.

    Thank you for the video. Mom and daughter we took the whole unit out even the cat converter lol. Yeah was an tad hard. The electric connector were the worst. We did cover them with baggies and tape. Tomorrow we do the tune install. I was hoping to let me know how your truck is running with leaving the egr on but unplugged? Thanks much.     Nicely done! I have to smog my 07.5 every other year where I live and this looks like a great option. I'm thinking about just leaving the exhaust system but putting a dpf delete pipe in between, maybe from flo-pro or someone like that. Do you know if having the egr and cooler unplugged for a couple years at a time will affect the equipment at all. In other words, could I have no problem hooking everything back up and then removing the delete pipe when it's time to smog again?

    Get the down pipe and the straight pipe when purchasing the programmer I only have the stock muffler no welding involved and the truck is quiet , no cat, no filters, no o2 sensors or egt's.
    I hope this helps anyone looking for info. 07.5 6.7L fuel economy went from 9-13 to 17-21 and a ton of more power.
    Also removed the EGR tube under the hood, capped off the valves with plugs, other wise it will clog up your heater grid and intake valves.. There is a butterfly valve inside the intake where he unplugged it, mine kept closing and causing heavy periods of soot while driving so I removed it no more issues.

      Do you install the tuner before or after to do the delete? I am starting mine tomorrow is say regen needed and the turbo seems to be whinning horrible so we are putting another one on.

    Nice explanation. Are you still running the same set up? I want to do the same type of delete but don’t want to mess with all the engine components yet. Everyone that I’ve talked too said eventually I’ll have to take those parts off the motor.

    Just traded off my 06 dirty with a edge for a 2010 6.7 cummins w/H&S Mini maxx tuner and the deletes to boot. Lastnight while playing around with the options on the tuner i noticed it had just the 2 performance setting....stock and tow. Being the genious i am i started pushing buttons assumming there would be a couple more phases, race, extreme, wild ect. In doing so I inadvertantly must of chosen/pushed some wrong buttons. Long/short of it is I ended up returning to the default settings and triggered an exhaust fault on the truck computer itself. Tried everything now to return it to way it was and every attempt ends with same result, after attempting to re-download the update seveal times, it brings me to "File Corrupt", w/ one of 2 codes- 62ce or 8eaf every time!!! Any suggestions would be greatly apprieciated, as you can tell, im a far thing from a diesel whisperer. thanx Joe

    I did the same as you did on the video but there is a code P0106 which is
    “Manifold absolute pressure sensor”
    I have the minimax power at max and the truck has no power it also popped up catalyst full service required on the overhead and I have the check engine light on and the red lighting bolt any suggestions I will appreciate it ?

    Norse do you know on the Minimax under the gauge settings what the abbreviations... EBP, MAF, and ICP. Just bought one, delated my dpf and egr but cant find what these gauge settings are, in instructions or anywhere else. Other then that was nice and simple!

    Just a little correction the aftertreatment system does not use (o2 sensors) the are inlet and outlet nox sensors. The detect the amount of oxides of nitrogen in the exhaust stream. Just fyi.. good video will be doing the delete this month.

    Hey buddy I have the mini Maxx as well today I jetted around some POS sitting in middle of the road got done at hospital started my truck and noticed my tuner head unit was not on. Well now it won’t work at all I’ve checked all connections tested everything w a meter all fuses are good and I can’t fig out what’s wrong w it. The one thing I noticed was the little box you get w the EGR DPF deletes power light flashes but can’t fig out why. You have any suggestions?

    I'm just wondering if you have this plugged into your OBD 2 and the time comes for an emissions test how is the truck able to pass if you have to unplug the tuner for the testing site to plug their computer tester in? Wouldn't a check engine light come on?

    I just purchased a H&S Performance Mini Maxx for my 2008 Dodge Ram diesel 6.7. I still have very little power & it did not delete all of the error codes. And I just read that H&S went out of business a couple of years ago & there is no technical service available. Why then are they still being sold! Can anyone out there help me?

    I wouldnt worry as much about the smog issues. Its a decently clean tune even with the base settings that cone with the programmer. I have been running error free ever since. Additionnaly I have not seen any issues running the way I have been. I will try to post a more comprehensive video soon with a better camera and hopefully a camera person.

    Coming in from the future. Dont take the baffle out. You dont gain any benefit except like 1 or 2 miles per gallon. But you gain that at the expense of less horse power and it wears your turbo bearing down faster so just leave it in. Replacing a turbo is no fun for a couple of mpg

    I have a 14 cummins and I went with 5 in turbo back. I didn't know I needed a tuner with that so I went and got the bulldog triple dog gt. Do u know if I'm gonna be able to run with that exhaust since I have to use that def bullshit in it. I've herd I wasn't going to be able to and the truck was gonna shut its self down and I've been told I can. Wondering if u know anymore then I do.

      you can do it you need the tuner you already purchase and the unlock cable for the unlock process and you also need efi live

      Tyler Haas ....i hope you didn't install that bullydog. I had the same setup. 5in straight pipe and my EGR and DPF was deleted. I bought the bullydog...installed it and it messed me up. The CEL was on and it went into Regen mode. I just purchased a minimaxx and I hope this will get my truck back to normal. 07 cummins 6.7

    Plugged my mini Maxx into the same fuse and it wouldn’t shut off even after truck was off with no key and accessory off(doors open) I’ll figure it out tomorrow but I just unplugged it for the night so that it wouldn’t kill my battery

    So my ex did my delete, removed the dpf and the egr, and installed the mini max. My truck gets the worst mpg it ever has. Of course he threw away the instructions. I sure wish knew how to tune for better mpg

    I love how people pay so much money for a piggy back tuner. the thing people don't understand is that the after treatment systems on these trucks are not restrictive in any way. this truck is more than capable to run a regen and clean out the dpf. obd tunes are not the way to go either. your changing parameters in the ecm that control fuel output. unfortunately this causes problems with performance because the truck is not timed to these outputs of fuel. there is so much that you dont know and you go ripping and tearing at your truck, then wonder why it does not work like it says on the plastic you bought the tuner. just a word of advice from a fully warranty certified technician.

      You should do more homework. I happen to know several cummins engineers and even they will tell you how DPF is an extremely life limited part. It can only handle so many regens due to the extreme heat created. The DPF is around $2000 to replace and quite frankly is a waste of hard earned money. It does have some restriction vs a straight pipe. Diesel engines do not like restrictions, the more they can pour out the tail pipe, the lower the EGT.

      Bs 598k on a 95 09 was in the shop with exhaust problems from the get go tuned with 300k now zero issues plenty of power

    also, I run it with the exhaust brake on all the time. One, its good for the turbo, two it will save your service brakes and three(most important), it sounds like a jet when its cold or slowing down from a high speed. I will post this in a video. I am still running with the CAT on it. @123, I wouldn't worry about the emissions testing, coming from washington state theres an easy way to beat the snap test, plus these H&S tunes are way cleaner than edge or smarty.

    @jagz7762 The clutch holds up ok, as in i have not had any issues with putting it on the mild setting. I think that part of the mileage gains that I have seen(+3-4 city, +5 highway) are greatly affected by where i live and the trucks gearing. I live in a place where most of the highways are 55-65 MPH so you will get a decent gain from that alone whether you were deleted or not. @ adamThe jetta mats were extra from the wife's TDI.
