I got a seat belt ticket 3 years ago (while not driving for Uber) that caused me to be deactivated.
My record is now clean, but every time I call support, I get a broken English response of "once it shows failed, it's indefinite".
Thankfully gigshield from the comments was able to get me back.
I agree that Uber is not a long standing option. I started Jan 29, 2024 and worked through April 12, 2024. I am on break. In that short period of time I was able to pay off a lot of my small credit and department store credit cards. It feels good! I just do a couple of hours 3-4 days a week. I don't see the value in doing more. I will start again tomorrow. This time it will be to put aside 500.00 for basic car maintenance. Breaks etc. I also like being able to go out for a couple hours and cover my grocery bill. I wouldn't do it more than that. It's not worth it.

You're a good dude and you spent years promoting rideshare but now you're being pretty tough on it. Some drivers still make good money. I haven't driven for almost almost a year because I have full time self employed but I will probably start driving a little here and there due to my previous experience. I know they pay less now but there are ways of still making it pay off part time. People are trying to make ends meet in this economy and I don't blame them for driving.
False , there is no money to make on rideshare anymore . Only dumb drivers still drive for them because they dont realize how much they are losing yet .
The new drivers take any rides because they don't know the difference but many experienced drivers are still making over $100k per year full time. They show their 1099's all the time.
