    My question is: "Why does Uber not count the trips I accept but are cancelled by the rider toward my 'acceptance' rate?" Once I accept the ride request, I should get credit for "accepting" it!!!

      But why do you think any of this matters ? Just cancel and decline as much as you want. These metrics honestly mean nothing. But a form of control that Uber is trying to push on you when you are NOT an employee 🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@saminicolette oh no! Not the 120 rides in 4 days. For $500. That’s trash. I don’t care about promotions unless it’s averaging $10 per ride. And my metrics are absolute trash. 14% acceptance. 85% cancel rate. And they still throw promotions at me. That I refuse to do. So I think you are wrong. It’s Uber continuing to trying to train me to be a good Uber slave. Which I need constant surges , bonus, and positive reinenforcement for me to act right. And when they go away. I start acting bad me again. Uber is having a very hard time getting me to do what they want 🤷🏼‍♂️. But I can see Uber’s tactic is working amazing on you. I bet you are diamond driver too. 🤣

      @@saminicolette Sami. I’m sorry. But you are 1000% wrong. Who ever told you that metrics matter with Uber metrics . Lied to you. Sorry. Only metric that matters is. What it costs you to drive. And what you get per mile and min. That matters. It matters to your profitability. Please for your own good. Stop taking rides that continue to pay you $0.50 per mile.

    My cr rate is at 84%. And my acceptance rate is now 15%. None of this matters to me
    I will keep cancelling and declining trash

    I COULD GIVE A DAMN about their Diamond 💎 Status. I am not accepting any shitty low paying, 20 mile delivery or pickup. Uber has the nerve to be taking 50% of the fare and giving us nothing, when it's OUR PERSONAL CARS 🚗 putting so much miles on it, oil change, tires, endlessssssssss car washes, tire rotation & gas ⛽️. Is use to be 80% driver pay and Uber takes 20%. Now they went 50/50. I will stop driving soon.

    I work Uber only on Friday and Saturday nights. What I do is turn off the app once I start a ride. Like that, I don't receive any more rides until I turn it back on after I drop off the passengers.

      @@headshot9611 If I take a ride to a location that I don't want to be in, I drop off the passenger and then simply go to where I want to be at. Once there, I then turn the app back on.

    I am a FT Uber/Lyft driver playing both apps here is Denver. I have always held 5 stars on both because I control my service. I get good tips because I feel I go above and beyond for the rider. What I cannot control is the garbage rides they offer me. So I do not accept poor paying rides. Therefore my acceptance rate is around 45% and this is something I cannot control. It’s an endless cycle that you just cannot win with them. They deliberately give you bad paying rides to stop you from achieving a higher rating. A while back I got back to platinum and nothing changed. Still nothing but garbage offers. Also, whenever I accept a scheduled ride, I never get a ride up until the time of the scheduled ride. Sometimes for hours. Another thing is I have noticed that they quote you a fare and then when it’s done it’s always a dollar or 2 less than what they quoted. Also, I pick up a surge and I have to take a screen shot of it, because when the next trip comes along, they have to adjust for the surge when
    I show them proof through chat. I feel we are being ripped off left right and center and I feel we need a strong voice from someone who I would gladly pay a little every week through some kind of union.

    There should be some exception, bathroom brakes, no gas, emergency calls, wifi issues.
    Sometimes the app will not let you shut off. I've seen the buttom come back on.
    How about they screen the riders better. When you use someone else uber account we should not have to give that person a ride especially if they have behaviors, safety issue

    I had a scammer book a ride and call me. They said they were going to give me a $500 bonus! I knew it was a scam! I called Uber and they couldn't cancel the ride for me! Then they had the audacity to tell me how cancelations are calculated!!! I've been doing Lyft and making more money!

      Cancelation should be on your trip app. The Uber help is worthless. It's been situation I figured the problem out before them. Just cancel it through the app next time. You can still have a high cancel rate and still be active. Chasing Uber Pro is pointless, you are going to make the same amount monthly before hand, if you filter out the bs ride trips.

    I reject the vast majority of rides because I’m not going to drive 8 miles away to pickup someone for $5-8 which is the cost of most rides. Uber pays garage

      I feel like uber lowered our prices recently. I was usually getting 4.80 for small quick rides, now it's 4.06. I try to wait for surge pricing now. It's not worth the trouble. I'm in Erie, PA.

    drivers SHOULD be worried that Uber sides with Armed Robbers over Drivers after police calls and allows the multiple incident armed robber to stay on the platform. this was confirmed to me directly by an American Uber safety representative.

      I agree with you. I almost LOST MY LIFE driving for Uber, on Good Friday 2019 in Chicago, Il. Someone ordered an Uber to an address in which no one came out…. While I was waiting for the passenger, a gunman runs up to my El vehicles in seconds, and puts 9 millimeter in my face, and only decided not to rob me (as he stated) bcs I was a bitch (female)…. I immediately reached out to Uber via the help center, which they replied by referring back to their policies, which stated at that time, in the event of injury or fatality, UBER is not responsible, as I am independent contractor…… FUCK UBER!!!

    To be precise, when I tap "stop 🛑 request" AFTER accepting my LAST ride AND i still receive 📲 a REQUEST- i CANCEL ❌ that ride REQUEST WITHOUT being penalized.
    I'm just sharing my experience since the last "200 ride" calculation went into effect

    I gave up on uber pro or diamond im only taking the trips i want. I drive in phoenix i have been asking them for the gate code thing for ever if i show up to a gated community and now gate code i cancel and leave immediately it wont start the timer so i sit there forever the customer never checks the messages

    Different subject. I am a diamond driver and on Saturday I received message from Uber saying my account is blocked until they review a safety complaint. No further information nor will they reply to me and it has been 4 days. Who has experienced this and what should I expect?

    It was NEVER based on the last 100 trips. It used to be based on the previous 30 DAYS regardless of how many trips you made in that time. I know! I've been driving Uber for 6 years!

    I had a passenger request a ride for their underage brother. I canceled the ride upon arrival but pax was still able to report me for "safety violation. " I have been on the phone with several Uber support people. I asked them can I report a passenger for canceling and they said no. Why not???

Because you think you will get better rides. But Yet , I have 15% acceptance rate and 84% cancel rate. Over 10k trips. I calculate my needed rate per mile to over expenses and carry a profit. And I cancel. When numbers don’t add up. Or to keep the ***** ,.. well I won’t talk about that part here. But yea. All the diamond status drivers are taking heavy losses. High AR has zero priority over anyone else. It’s just another Uber trick.

      @@godlessheathen9809 also. I’ll add this. You have to absolutely know your operating expenses. All fuel insurance maintenance and car costs per mile. What it costs you to have your tires roll one mile down the road. Right ? My ytd take home after all expenses and including dead and working miles is $1.65 per mile in my pocket. Meanwhile you are taking rides like I passed on today. Would you take a 3 1/2 hour ride from Florida to Georgia 220 miles one way. Which is actually a total of 440 miles and 7 hours of round trip driving for $115? Minus fuel which is probably $50 so basically it’s a 7 hour drive for $65 in your pocket for an whole average of $9 per hour ? Or $0.14 cents per mile. Absolutely not. But would you take it because you saw. $115? And keep that mythical high priority ? Unfortunately. You are currently learning the hard way. But this is why you are here. To learn the right way. Decline decline decline and know your worth !

      @@nickhummer5775 🤔 In order to know what the ride is you have to accept it. 🤪That's not declining a ride. That's canceling. 😏Try again Nick.🤣🤣🤣. So for instance. I drive at night & Uber will not pay me to clean up fees anymore. So I do not pick up from bars . At about 2 in the morning is when I may start declining. Also there is a stadium nearby. If it's busy I will not go anywhere near there. I will get stuck in traffic. Those are instances of decline. Afar pick up would be another one for possible decline.🤙So once again if you know how far the ride is you have accepted it.🤣🤣🤣

    Ne of my least favorite things that often happens is when you are sent an order it will co.e over the app but I have accidently accepted so many orders I would not normally take and then have to cancel...not cool

    This is why it feels like it’s taking forever to get my acceptance rate up! On Sundays if I just drive for five hours, my acceptance rate, my only increase by one percent. But if I go drive on a Saturday when I’m able to maybe drive seven hours or eight hours I have seen it jump in entire 5% on that day.
    Because lately when I realized it’s been getting more difficult to make even $100. I have been accepting every single ride just to get my acceptance rate up.
    Because it’s a slow month right now and regardless, I need to get my acceptance rate up so that when more and more business comes, I’m just gonna get the better rides plus I’m an XL and comfort

    As an Uber driver myself in the UK just do the jobs that get you to your wage the percentages don't matter Uber just fucks with your score anyways I'm a 4.99 star driver in a Merc and still only on Uber X not Uber executive we don't stand a chance with Uber here plus they take more than 25 % of the money when they feel like it they've been caught charging riders 60 pounds for rides and giving drivers 10 pounds .we can't do long journeys as they only give 1 pound a mile to us witch didn't pay us after fuel fucking joke here .

    I got threatened by Lyft for poor passenger experience for cancelling trips and got an email saying they can cancel me. My passengers all give me five stars I was in a dangerous neighborhood and had to get out

    Take every ride you get, and get 200 trips M-T then go wild on the weekend. Repeat the next week. Take off two weeks and you’ll get “$150 bonus” to come back type emails. Rinse and repeat. If you milk these weekly bonuses you can do less trips for the same amount of $$$. I do this frequently in Wash DC

    Hi, I don’t know if anybody’s noticed this but in regards to the rejecting garbage rides why is it that after you don’t accept any of the let’s say following 34 rides by the time you get what you’re looking for all of a sudden your touch, phone face the face of the phone, or the phone will not react to what you’re pickingand it only happens with Uber that it won’t do or react when I press on accept it’s like they do it on purpose. Is that just me or has anybody noticed that?

    A lot of young people got sucked into Uber thinking they could bypass a steady job/ would not have to put in the work to foster a real career. Now, I hope they see that education IS worth it, doing well in school DOES matter, because it keeps you from being trapped into scams like Uber. When you have credentials, you always have other options 🤷🏾‍♀️

    My experience, Lyft will suspend/deactivate drivers for cancelling too often. My workaround for Lyft is to only drive on its Lux platform, then most requests come from Lyft passengers with 4.8+ ratings and solidly good ride histories. This way I don’t accept Lyft’s crappie requests on its standard platform and moments later want to cancel…
    On the Uber side of things, I cancel often. It’s mostly because of safety concerns, not wanting to go to bad areas at night.

    My acceptance rate has dropped to as low as 3 percent and my cancellation rate has reached as high as 11....no difference in income over the long haul....the diamond bonus is a loss of money because to keep the acceptance rate high there is a much higher percentage of dead head miles

    The way I see it was going to happen is it would only take 100 rides in the past to clear that cancellation back down to 0%, now it will take 200 rides to clear, so basically if you're sitting at 4% you will have to drive 800 rise just to clear that 4% back down to 0%. Uber knows this that's why they raised the amount of rides it would take, and the same goes for acceptance rate since they changed the acceptance rate to 200 and they removed the 30-day feature, now instead of my acceptance rate resetting after 30 days or 100 rides it takes 200.

    As of today. I will no longer ride share. Ive had 4 riders say i drive dangerously. Thats untrue. I do the speed limit and abide by all traffic laws. Ive spoken to local drivers who are having same problem. People are not canceling anymore they are claiming false information to uber to get refunded for free rides. Im done. Uber does not let you defend yourself

    Your attitude of entitlement will only get worse as well because you refuse to except the truth. The good old days of rideshare are gone for good. I told you this 2 yrs ago. At this point its no longer ubers fault. It's your fault for not taking this channel in a much better direction and promoting true entrepreneurship by researching much better revenue streams for drivers which is valueable content.
    We are tired of hearing you complain about problem while having no sollutions. This is an example of how most of you are not true entrepreneurs because you cannot make a living in the driving outside of Uber & Lyft.
