    I feel like it needs to be said that not that many people will ever be able to deadlift 400. Your average male doesn’t pull 150 for their first pull either, I feel like being around strongman has warped your perception slightly as to the average person’s talent for strength training.

    • @Shepherd99Jo
      @Shepherd99Jo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Average gym person will stuggle to pull 100 off the floor without at least a couple months training.

    • @MSTSystems
      @MSTSystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I don’t know what planet your on haha but that isn’t right at all. I used the example of a fully matured male. And if you really wanted to and dedicated the time a lot more people could pull 400kg than you think, most don’t dedicate enough as it’s just a hobby or they train wrong. You say this like I came up training only strongmen, I have PT’d for like 13 years haha, my mum is nearly 60 and pulls 120kg, my mrs is 63kg and pulls 200kg after 3 years training. I would counter argue thst you have the warped perception of strength progression not me 🙌

      @@MSTSystems Most under 30yos I've seen couldn't lift 150kg first time they try. Damn, even half of the gym goers I see never even touch 150kg. Maybe if they've already trained other sports for a couple of years or so but just a regular joe who's exercise consists of walking to the store and back? Nah.

      @@paavoilves5416yeah I agree with this, maybe not unless your like 16 stone plus, maybe 150kg would come easy first time
      For myself being around the 13 stone mark and skinny I started at 100 at age 28

      He meant novice tren users can easily pull 150kg as their first lift.

    I'm 23 yo and the most I've ever pulled is 190kgs but I haven't been training consistantly cause I do grappling too and sometimes it's tiring to combine both. But I have that long term goal to pull 270kgs, I don't know when but it will eventually happen some day

    Just a quick question. It's true yes that you cannot recover in 7 days from the massive lifts (I think Eddie Hall stated 10 days) but is it also true that doing the right recovery such as physio, sports massage, hot/cold treatment, hyperbaric chamber and the liquid nitrogen cold treatment can reduce the recovery time from 10 days to 7 days?

    • @MSTSystems
      @MSTSystems  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a hard to answer question, kinda like how long is a piece of string

    • @CraigNiel

Currently training 5x5 at 150kg slowly moving that figure up over then next 6 weeks or so gonna try to smash 200kg+ got a gym at home now so no lockdown gonna get me and frequency will never be an issue! Nutrition is a bit shit atm 2500kcal + always 120gram protein, bit shit at the moment because life is making me bedgrudge protein costs!

      5 x 5 @ 150kg - or 79% of your 1RM - seems like an awful lot of volume, week-in/week-out. So if you add 2.5kg a week: you'll be at 86% of your 1RM in 6 weeks, for 25 reps. Good luck with that!?!?! Why not try the ideas posited in this video?

    150kg starting deadlift for a modern man is too highnowadays...I would say most are around 90-120 untrained...maybe the average 180lb man working a physically demanding job would deadlift in the 150's.
    I grew up in a village and deadlifted 180kg first time at 17..most of the 15-17 year olds were deadlifting 130-160kgs.But that's due to years and years of very demanding physical work.Most of the work was manual back in the 2000's growing up..so for example carrying sacks of potatoes or grain 35-50kg.
    Some guys in their late 30's were deadlifting in the 200-220 kg untrained where I'm from..construction workers,working in the forest and so on.

      @@MSTSystemsno, I don't think competing in a tested division means the lifter is a lifetime natural. And the amount of people able to pull 400 is very low. I do believe it is more of a genetic question, you talk about hitting a 400kg deadlift is an achievable goal, which it simply isn't. Even if a person does everything you say in your video, it depends on the genetics. Can put your whole life into it and not get past 270kg eg. Also it is depending on your height etc.
