I get the same big smile and feeling of appreciation when I see a Bee Gees video. They really were a very special group. That brother harmony-and their song writing was unique. You are delightful by the way, thank you for the positivity and thoughtful words.
A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 53 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Barry's chest is shiny with blotches because when he was about 18 months, he pulled a pot of hot tea from off of a table. His mom said he didn't not speak for a long time (maybe 2 years.) Robin (on our left) and Maurice (on our right) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) survived by wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) survived by wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb **Not pictured in that video** (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He is survived by his daughter. Andy and Barry could have been identical twins. You know the song 'Emotion' sung by Destiny's Child? Well ..... they wrote the song (1977) for the singer Samantha Sang. Their harmony is very sharp and nice, but IMO, Destiny's Child's cover has too much drama in it. But Barry said he liked it. They produced and wrote songs for Diana Ross's album: Eaten Alive. Emotion th-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y863cKzsfSsxKiTP They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. During a nine-month period beginning in the Christmas season of 1977, seven songs written by the brothers held the No. 1 position on the US charts for 27 of 37 consecutive weeks: three of their own releases, two for brother Andy Gibb, the Yvonne Elliman single, and "Grease", performed by Frankie Valli. The scars are from gangrene, he said he had about 20 minutes to live because it was hard for his family to get him to proper care for his terrible burns.
