This group is incredible. Amazing song writers and their voices are incredible whether singing in their regular voices or falsetto. They've written over 1,100 songs. Five decades of hits. You could do a reaction a week of their songs and it would take you years to get through all of their great songs. They never disappoint. I love all of their songs but have just over 150 favorites. I can't say that about any other group. They also have a much younger brother Andy Gibb that had an amazing solo career. He was 9 and 12 years younger than his three brothers. Born the same year the Bee Gees were established. His first three singles hit number one. Please react to Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. The song is awesome! But ofc as you can hear it wasn't one (live) take. The process of recording "Too Much Heaven" was excessive and included 27 vocal tracks from the brothers (falsetto, harmony and normal voices) The recording of this track was longer than any other on the album. The recording included the horn section of the band Chicago. I heard them sing this song live in some concert (Barry not used his falsetto there), but it sounded amazing anyway !
It definitely wasn’t live as much as it’s portrait. You can tell because at the end of the song it tails off and that’s not how any live song ends with the fade like that. Highly produced but beautiful nonetheless.

They always sound perfect, live or recorded. They started off as mere children so by the time they were adults, it was so natural for them to be great under most circumstances. Even off the cuff on talk shows they’d sound great. So much talent. They wrote songs for many other major artists as well.
This song is beutiful but more beutiful is the fact that they gave all the profits from this song to UNICEF for all future!!! And that have been a lot of money for a good cause and soooo much credit to these wonderful brothers!!!😊❤❤

Hi, I’m 77, and still listen to BeeGees every day. I’ve been listening and enjoying their music since the 60’s. Barry released another album in 2021 called Greenfields, BeeGees songs sung with country stars and Barry.
Their father was the leader of a band and their mother was a singer so I guess that's why they're so talented. All three of them play multiple instruments as well.
The Bee Gee's Brothers were the Best still to this day starting from the 1960's to the 80's RIP to all the brothers that passed away, the lead and oldest singer Barry Bibb is the last one still standing at 77 years old!
The harmony of the brothers is superb! Props to Robin and Maurice (RIP to them both) their harmonies carry this beautiful song, allowing Barry to sing out! ❤ The Bee Gees forevermore!!! Thank you for reviewing and keeping their songwriting alive!
Great reaction! These amazing brothers have a catalog of over 1000 songs. They wrote 3 #1 hits in one afternoon. You should check out “Fanny Be Tender With My Love “, “Nights On Broadway”, “Love You Inside Out”, “You Win Again”, just to name a few.
I was in high school when the Bee Gees really hit it big during the disco craze. We danced many a night away to their music. But it didn't end there. Such a talented family. So sad that now Barry (one in the middle) is the only surviving member. All of his brothers have now passed. And yet, he's still cranking out music, playing, singing, & writing. A lot of people don't realize how many hit songs from other artists were written by them. Artists like Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross, Samantha Sang, Yvonne Elliman, Tavares, Barbra Streisand, Franki Valli, Andy Gibb (youngest brother who died just as his career was taking off), and the list goes on. They have written THOUSANDS of hit songs, many of which were performed by other artists of all different genres. The absolute artistry and talent that came from these 3 brothers is truly phenomenal. I can't think of one bad song they have done. Everything is absolute gold.
You are hearing 27 different tracks on this recording! Barry alone recorded 18 different ones. The two brothers recorded three different tracks each. All three recorded three tracks together. Horn section is from the group Chicago.
This music was a fantastic sound to cheer up a rainy day. This is when you would get all dressed up and head to a nightclub. Where you actually spoke face to face with people. All enjoying the beautiful songs. The DJ would slow the music down. Someone would ask someone to dance. This is where people met their boyfriend, partner, who then progressed to husband or wife. I met my husband 42 years ago and we are still together. 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren. When you speak to someone with respect and treat them with respect, don't forget that the respect starts with self respect. Get to know the person before you give them a chance to become your boyfriend or partner. Don't bend to the pressure that younger generations are bending to. Stand up for yourself and your morality. Be kind and expect to be treated kind. Not queen's or kings, but people who are happy to spend time together. ❤
Remember, these guys had been performing together since they were kids. They perfected that sound for decades. Younger audiences are taken by surprise when they hear the falsetto, but in the 70's it was all over. Black and white groups all did it.
My favorite song of all time!! These men were born with a gift! Their first live performance was when they were young children; 7 and 5 (2 of them are twins). They signed up to lip sync at a theatre before a show started but Maurice (green shirt, pronounced Morris) dropped the record and broke it. The theater let them sing for real, placed a mic in front of them, and they sang the song Lollipop! These guys sang in their bedroom as children and their mother thought her sons accidentally left the radio on. Mom opened the door to turn the radio off and learned that her sons had a gift of singing in perfect 3-part harmony! Barry is the oldest and the lead singer in the middle, Robin is the twin in the white shirt, and Maurice (pronounced Morris) is in the green shirt. Want to see their first performance on television!?! It was in Australia and they performed a song they wrote called Time is Passing By. Barry, at that time was 11 and the twins were 9! Even then you could hear their harmonies and the gift they had! They wrote many songs for other artists as well! Dione Warwick calls Barry Gibb “the hit maker!” My favorite is a song they wrote for Celine Dion called Immortality! There’s a video of them recording the song and Barry and Maurice were in tears from the beauty of the song. My favorite performance was live in Las Vegas which is also on video!!
Do YOU SHOULD BE DANCING or HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE next. However, if you really want to see the range of their voices…do NIGHTS ON BROADWAY, or FANNY BE TENDER. Barry (the lead vocalist) actually has a deep chest voice! He shows that off on the Nights on Broadway song (live from 1975 on the Midnight Special). And yes, they were a hit in the Black community growing up in the 70’s!
They are magical when their tones hit your ears. Back to back with Stayin' Alive alive and Heaven Is a cool way to start your day. It's wild that they're so organic... And so smooth... so incredibly smooth.
From reacting to football videos, specifically Messi vs. Ronaldo, to reacting to MMA/sports in general, to now? Music?! This channel is goated. You guys are the best! Real spit. 💯💯💯
THE Brothers!! L to R = Robin, Barry, and Maurice ❤ Enjoy the deep dive into their 5+ decade catalog!! They didn't write disco, they wrote R&B including To Love Somebody for Otis Redding, and many other artists, and Elvis covered their song Words. They equaled the Beatles record of so many #1's at the same time! Back in the day, they WERE the charts!! Try Fanny Be Tender, You Win Again (Princess Diana's favorite song), One, and anything from the Still Waters album, for starters!!
Need to check out their younger brother Andy Gibb also. He did most of his career solo because he was so much younger than his brothers...and he was also the 1st 1 to pass away. 😢 He also had an amazing voice and a large following. Barry Gibb was the oldest ( the 1 in the middle) and he still manages his career.
Someone from the UK who did have ladies underwear thrown at, was Tom Jones. Have you seen these YT vids ? - 'Tom Jones - (It Looks Like) I'll Never Fall In Love Again (The Dusty Springfield Show, 5th Sep 1967)' and 'Sir Tom Jones & Jennifer Hudson's 'It's A Man's Man's Man's World' | The Battles | The Voice UK 2019'
The Bee Gees really blew up in the seventies after the movie Saturday Night Fever came out which the Bee Gees provided a lot of music for that soundtrack. Yes indeed that is their natural voices no auto-tune or anything back then. They remained to this day to be one of the best groups that harmonize well together. Check out their other music Saturday Night Fever from the movie and others as well welcome to my world
I grew up listening to these guys not realising how great they were amongst a lot of other singers of a similar type who came before now. Looking back, it is great to see such special voices and real heart and soul. Go into modern music, and you can see the threads of it as you come up to the modern age, and it's great when people look back and take the good parts and build on them themselves. They gotta have the talent, though. That's the thing, you've got to have the talent. Nobody learns this. It's a god-given gift. I'm 57 now, and I feel like a twelve-year-old. These are wonderful songs. Please check out as many as you can of beegees. And all others around this time, you'll find some really great songs. You probably find a few horrors, too. But Hey, you get those everywhere! Thanks guys❤
Barry Gibb is the only brother left and he is 77 years old. I don't know about brothers, Robin and Maurice but Barry always took his wife and kids on tour. No temptation and from what I hear a happy marriage. You should react to more Bee Gee songs.
He also had the good sense to get married to Linda on his birthday. One way of making sure he didn't end up in the dog house for forgetting the anniversary LOL
These guys wrote over 100 songs together but Maurice , on the right side, wrote this particular song, Too Much Heaven ,,❤ they also wrote songs for other artists, ❤
The Bee Gees are very talented. The brothers can sing. The twins truly compliment Berry's voice. Robin and Maurice RIP 🙏🙏 Good music and memories. Unfortunatly Andy Gibb is gone also RIP he was taken very young but God needed him more. Thank you..🎶🎤🎧💯🫶🔥
It wasn't just the song but also the era.So much was happening in that era! Loved it and it can never be repeated. Was so thankful to have grown up with bands like the BeeGees...music with depth and true feeling!
I can't believe after 40-plus years, people are still calling the Bee Gees a disco group! They were never and when asked the Bee Gees denied they were anything but R&B during that time. Am I supposed to believe the artist's or someone's uneducated opinion? Someone I was talking to about the Bee Gees & he was arguing that the Bee Gees were a disco group when I told him there is a fine line between disco & R&B, then I told him the so-called first disco song in the mainstream was a tune by George Mccrae “Rock Your Baby” It sounds like R&B to me. This is what that guy wrote to me! @75397 You're right, there's a fine line between disco and R&B, and the Bee Gees were primarily known for their work in the pop and disco genres. Most songs they wrote in other genres, such as soul, R&B, and even film soundtracks, were written for other artists.
The Bee Gees are 3 brothers (Barry is in the middle and his twin brothers are Robin and Maurice). They had a younger brother called Andy who died at a young age. They were born on the Isle of Man and then moved to Manchester, UK before emigrating to Australia. They then moved back to the UK before moving to the USA. They have loads of great songs over many decades and genres. No auto tune or gimmicks just pure talent. They also wrote songs for other famous singers.
Barry has the best falsetto voice of all time - pure perfection. You should check out their "Jive Talkin'" when he's singing in his lower register. Also, when they performed on the Midnight Special singing, "Nights on Broadway" - Maurice, the brother with the receding hairline, is bassline in that is off the hook and he's the one actually singing the falsetto. But they have SO many songs and wrote songs for others as well. They could go into a studio in the morning and come out in the afternoon with five new songs. They are best known for their work on the "Saturday Night Fever" album which was on of the highest grossing albums of all time. RIP Robin, Maurice and younger brother, Andy, who had his own solo career before he passed at 31.
His voice is called falsetto. They are brothers. Your laughter is pretty disrespectful. Back in the days where you actually needed talent to sing. You probably know 'Stayin' alive'.
Actually it’s not 1 track.. 😊. Except for the actual solos Barry sang, they sang 9 tracks of 3 part harmony each in their respective falsettos and then overlaid them to create a 27 voice master. Nonetheless, it’s still amazing.
Let’s not forget about Andy. He was also amazingly talented! Only Barry is still with us. Bee Gees and Andy, all amazing performers! Music will never be this good again.
I was so fortunate to be alive (17 years old) when this first came out. I remember going to see Staying alive and had the album. We used to love to hit the disco's and the Bee Gee's music was played in the Disco's, but fit any genre (many other singers have sang song written by the Bee Gee's. Before this, I loved all their music from the 60's. Their harmonies were perfection, classic, beautiful music.
Man this music be touching your soul🥲

The recording process was the longest of all the tracks on Spirits Having Flown as there are nine layers of three-part harmony, creating 27 voices, though the high falsetto voices are the most pronounced in the final mix:[6]
Barry on falsetto lead three times
falsetto high harmony three times
falsetto low harmony three times
Barry on natural voice lead three times
high harmony three times
low harmony three times
Barry, Robin and Maurice together on lead three times
high harmony three times
low harmony three times[6]
Imbued with their falsetto style, it is also notable for being one of two songs on the album featuring the Chicago horn section (James Pankow, Walter Parazaider and Lee Loughnane); the other track that features the Chicago members is "Search, Find", in return for the brothers' appearance on the Chicago song "Little Miss Lovin'". On its demo version, Barry begins with count-in. This track does have some backing vocals. The demo lacks the full orchestral feel of the final song.

Barry (the lead vocalist) actually has a deep chest voice! He shows that off on the Nights on Broadway song (live from 1975 on the Midnight Special). And yes, they were a hit in the Black community growing up in the 70’s!
I recommend “ Too much heaven” now pls check out “ How deep is your love” probably their biggest soulful ballad. Great reaction fellas.
They are magical when their tones hit your ears. Back to back with Stayin' Alive alive and Heaven Is a cool way to start your day. It's wild that they're so organic... And so smooth... so incredibly smooth.
The Human Race was and is a Better World because of the BGs. 🎹🎷🎺🎸🎻🎙️
From reacting to football videos, specifically Messi vs. Ronaldo, to reacting to MMA/sports in general, to now? Music?! This channel is goated. You guys are the best! Real spit. 💯💯💯
The Bee-Gee's have that kinda hair black women buy as wigs to have white girl hair.
These guys are laughing because they know back in the day panties were falling everywhere for these guys 😂❤
Naw facts appreciate the comment
the bee gees were so great so glad i grew up in that era.perfect
I was fortunate to grow up in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. You men have so much music to explore, you can't even imagine.
He also had an amazing voice and a large following. Barry Gibb was the oldest ( the 1 in the middle) and he still manages his career.
Bee Gees. The best of the best
Great appreciation of good old music.
@Coowallsky They didn't vocal layer every song, now you're starting to sound like a fool. Young Lady!
The harmony was unbeatable
Barry, the one in the middle, has been married for 52 years
Someone from the UK who did have ladies underwear thrown at, was Tom Jones.
We definitely gotta take a look at em appreciate the comment
They were not into the groupie things you guys think. Why do you think they were so successful. All 3 were married, I think?
That is the REASON that 70s music was the best
@Coowallsky You'd ruin a wet dream!
Check out their other music Saturday Night Fever from the movie and others as well welcome to my world
Definitely was original
I love that they made you giggle!!! That made my night.
What's so funny? I doubt either of you could sing that well.😅
Your guys laughing and think it's not a good song it's the rap music that sucks
give How Deep is your Love if you want another romantic song of theirs
Barry Gibb is the only brother left and he is 77 years old. I don't know about brothers, Robin and Maurice but Barry always took his wife and kids on tour. No temptation and from what I hear a happy marriage. You should react to more Bee Gee songs.
He also had the good sense to get married to Linda on his birthday. One way of making sure he didn't end up in the dog house for forgetting the anniversary LOL
bee gees nights on broadway
You see your girl talking to those guys, you may as well go on home cause she ain't yours no more
There were a lot of babies made to this song. And they sang to women not at them.
😂😂😂 so true!
Gentlemen -- best reaction!!
Music should lift us up. This is a great example of that.
I know this isn't for everyone.. I KNOW THIS... but I appreciate you guys... for seeing what I saw...even back then... :)
Countless babies were made because of this song!! Women were ready and willing after listening to this love song!!
Lol
Ha! My first daughter ( Born '74) was probably conceived to just that song!!!!
These guys wrote over 100 songs together but Maurice , on the right side, wrote this particular song, Too Much Heaven ,,❤ they also wrote songs for other artists, ❤
That's over 1000 songs.
All 3 brothers wrote this song.
The Bee Gees are very talented. The brothers can sing. The twins truly compliment Berry's voice. Robin and Maurice RIP 🙏🙏 Good music and memories. Unfortunatly Andy Gibb is gone also RIP he was taken very young but God needed him more. Thank you..🎶🎤🎧💯🫶🔥
Talent in it's purest form. Educate yourself on the depth of their talents. You won't be laughing then.......
Inane laughter from reviewer totally disrespectful
It wasn't just the song but also the era.So much was happening in that era! Loved it and it can never be repeated. Was so thankful to have grown up with bands like the BeeGees...music with depth and true feeling!
I can't believe after 40-plus years, people are still calling the Bee Gees a disco group! They were never and when asked the Bee Gees denied they were anything but R&B during that time. Am I supposed to believe the artist's or someone's uneducated opinion?
Someone I was talking to about the Bee Gees & he was arguing that the Bee Gees were a disco group
when I told him there is a fine line between disco & R&B, then I told him the so-called first disco song in the mainstream was a tune by George Mccrae “Rock Your Baby” It sounds like R&B to me. This is what that guy wrote to me!
@75397 You're right, there's a fine line between disco and R&B, and the Bee Gees were primarily known for their work in the pop and disco genres. Most songs they wrote in other genres, such as soul, R&B, and even film soundtracks, were written for other artists.
They donated all of the proceeds from this song to UNICEF. Extremely talented and kind. ❤
Nobody in music history can harmonize better than The Brothers Gibb!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Hey y'all don't forget little brother Andy Gibb "Shadow Dancing" he's just as good as his brothers!😊
These brothers were by far one of the best things to ever come out of the 70s
3 English brothers live Barry in middle Robin left and his twin Maurice right falsetto voices x
Fanny Be Tender is a must watch! Even Quincy Jones says it's his favorite!
Lots of babies made to this classic! I'm lucky to have lived back then!
