Aren't We All Just "Livin' On A Prayer"? | Blind Reaction to "Livin' On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi
What’s good, good people?! Welcome back to Bigg Merk Reacts, where I dive into the biggest hits and hidden gems in music, and today, we’re checking out an absolute rock classic! In this episode, I’m blind reacting to “Livin’ on a Prayer” by the legendary band Bon Jovi. 🤘🔥
So, here’s the story: a few weeks ago, I was out and this song came on-people started losing their minds! I whipped out Shazam, and it turned out to be “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. The name rang a bell, and I know I’ve heard the song before, but I never really paid it the attention it deserves. So, I thought, why not revisit this anthem right here, with you all!
For those who don’t know, Bon Jovi is a rock band formed in New Jersey in the early ‘80s, fronted by Jon Bon Jovi. “Livin’ on a Prayer” was released in 1986 and became a global smash hit. It’s a powerful anthem about perseverance, telling the story of Tommy and Gina, a working-class couple going through hard times but keeping their heads up. This track helped define Bon Jovi’s sound, blending hard rock with pop influences, and remains one of the greatest rock anthems of all time!
Hit that play button and join me on this musical journey as I experience “Livin’ on a Prayer” in a whole new way!
💥 If there are more artists, songs, or videos you want me to react to, drop them in the comments and I’ll make it happen!

That’s right-this is my first time watching the official music video f...

In this episode, I’m doing a blind reaction to “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey. Shaboozey has been making waves for a few years, but he skyrocketed to fame after being featured on Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” album with the tracks “Spaghettii” and “Sweet Honey Buckin’.” “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has been out for a while, but it has gained significant momentum recently, partly due to those high-profil...

In this episode, I’m blind reacting to the iconic “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson. We just celebrated the 15th anniversary of MJ’s passing, which coincidentally falls on my birthday, making it a bittersweet day filled with memories of his music. มุมมอง 1.7K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this episode, I’m blind reacting to Victoria Monet’s new video for her song, “Alright” from her Grammy award-winning album, Jaguar II. Jaguar II was easily my top album of 2023, and frankly, it isn’t close. My Spotify Wrapped is testament to that. And of course, I’ve loved Victoria Monet since hearing Jaguar (One) back in 2020. Now honestly, “Alright” isn’t one of my top songs from Jaguar II...

JT is Back?!?! | Blind React to "Selfish" by Justin Timberlake
I dunno man, when you say "JT had the look.." I've heard wayy more girls drooling over JC than JT.
It was a gantlet to get tickets, fighting to get a code for a slim chance of getting a ticket or having to pay thousands for resale tickets
One of my favorite songs from the 80s
Jon Bon Jovi was 24 yrs old, lead guitarist was 26-27. In mid 20s. Tico drummer is the oldest in his 30s. Alec who was Bass unfortunately has passed away was 30/31. Songs listen from Bon Jovi-Its my life, keep the Faith, you give love a bad name, wanted dead or alive, lay your hands on me, bad medicine, ill be there for you, Bed of Roses, always. Anything live from em too fantastic live band.
Thanks for the background and the recommendations! I'll check them out!
INCREDIBLE! This song is sublime ❤❤❤
It's so good!
She reminds me of another super-super star from my generation Barbara Streisand.
Ahhh, ok! I'll have to check out Barbara Streisand to see the correlation!
"Outstanding"! Were you a military guy in the past? Term I used and heard used a lot while in the AF!
I wasn't but I'm from a military family. Dad, Uncle, both Granddads. Huge influence on me.
The look. Early 60s Porter Wagner and Dolly Parton.
The Ed Sullivan show. Early Dick Clarks American Bandstand. Early Johnny Carson.
If you notice when Lady Gaga is singing with the cigarette in her mouth It is not lit. LOL
Lol true! haha
ABBA was hugely successful at writing and performing pop songs up to 1975. Around this time dance music / disco was getting big so Abba threw their hat in the ring and this was their first attempt at a dance song. Not bad, especially considering it's now regarded as one of the greatest dance songs of all time.
Great reaction, to a Great song ! Bruno and Gaga were terrific. Back in the day there were lots of Variety Shows on TV . If you're familiar with the Movie Step Up, let's take it to the street ! Check out a young artist that performs Old School, LIVE on the street most of the time ! Just her and her guitar on the street one and done in front of an audience ! The young social media star, ALLIE SHERLOCK ! You can find this video on her TH-cam channel with a ton of other amazing performances. Take a look a listen and enjoy ! 🎤🎸🎶
Thank you! & I'll absolutely check her out! Thanks for sharing!
@@biggmerkreactions Allie never disappoints ! She always has the latest and greatest of covers as well as her latest original " How Love Works" ! 🎤🎸🎶
Ed Sullivan show 😊 young man good catch. So smooth from an OG 😂
Thanks! I was struggling to figure it out haha
Babyface wrote fantastic songs!
Yes he did! Undoubtably one of the greatest!
Appreciate your calm demeanor and thoughtful observations and input! Great job (and hat!)
Thank you! Glad. You enjoyed the reaction!
You ain't lied. It was this moment when i said OH SHE IS HERE!!!
BIG FACTS!
Check out Silc Sonic tribute to Lil Richard where Bruno slayed those rock pop, also he and Ed Sheeran has rock song BLOW where Bruno also slayed those vocals and electric guitar, accdg to Ed Sheeran Bruno played guitar, drums and Bass in that song
Will do! Thanks for the recs!
Lady Gaga's tone is unmatched. She is a musical genius.
LADY GAGA is the BOSS ❤
Wow
The song,"Die With A Smile", is a great song, indeed. Wow! 👍🏽🙂⭐️💕🔥
Dolly Parton show and Sonny and Cher and there were numerous daytime shows back then... Ed Sullivan, Diane Carol show and Johnny Carson and others...
I was specifically thinking about Ed Sullivan & Johnny Carson! Thanks! I completely blanked lol.
Please react to Closest thing to Heaven by Tears for Fears , music video version please 😊
I think you made a good point, People that say, it's just feel good music, aren't really listening and don't want to.
Bruno Mars has been performing on stage since he was 4 years old. His family is from a famous local Hawaii singing group, The Society of Seven. They use to prop Bruno on stage and he would do Elvis songs. Lady Gaga is a legend now.
we all been though this in our life one time or another
Yes this song was definately a classic of the 80's and still is.❤ Tears For Fear was huge back then and their music will always be timeless.❤ We were spoiled by this era as far as fabulous music! 😊
Bruno’s tone is unmatched. He is a musical genius.
Yes, but here LADY GAGA is the BOSS ❤🎤🎤🎶🔊
Aww, I love your reaction, and your comments on this beautiful song. I dance with my cat to it. Thank you, Catherine, Toronto😺❤️
Thank you too! Glad you enjoyed the reaction! 🫶🏾
I loved, loved, loved your reaction and detailed commentary. I agree with your admiration of both of these mega stars. What really made me smile was you taking the time to praise Bruno's fantastic talent and "ear" for harmonies and stacking his vocals so beautifully. It is absolutely a musical signature trait of his. And Gaga, also, so good at crafting those wonderful upper register harmonies. Together? WOW! I also totally agree with your positive assessment of all the other puzzle pieces.. the melody, the musicianship, the set, all the details. I'm glad I found your channel. Liked and subscribed 😊
Thank you so much for all of the kind words! I’m happy that you enjoyed the reaction and thank you for subscribing!!
ABBA's worst song is better then anything that woman on your wall ever did.
Thank you for the reaction. Please react to Knowing me knowing you, The winner takes it all, The day before you came, Voulez-Vous, Hole in your soul live from Wembley 1979, Eagle (long album version), If it wasn`t for the nights and Chiquitita live from Wembley 1979.
I have to compliment you for the way you react .You are a smart person the way you dig into the songs.
Thank you! I really appreciate the compliment!
there is a ton of briliant songs (hits and album tracks) to react to. One of their unique aspects is also the incredible versatility of their songs. Every song is so completely different, yet uniquely theirs
My favourite song from ABBA will always be Voulez Vous.
A will wait until you do Carrie Underwood Temporary Home..its something, but u have to do her official video!
When Agnetha and Frida sing together it is called ABBA's third voice😊
Love your analysis! ABBA were a phenomenon, keep smiling young sir, it looks good on you! I love Knowing Me, Knowing You and Fernando.
Thank you! I’ll do my best!😁 I’ll check out those songs as well, thanks for recommending!
The day before you came is a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece by them.
That is my absolute favorite ABBA song, and one of my favorite songs period.
You talk about the smiling performers which is so true, but also for you my man. Watching you is a pleasure because you're passionate and enjoying your reactions. Looking forward to more ABBA reactions from you.
Thank you! I really love doing these reactions and I love great music so it keeps me smiling as well! Thanks again!
I love the fact that you love my beloved Bee Gees. Thank you for reacting to this. I love seeing you enjoy such a masterpiece from pure, raw talent. Thank you 🔥
Thank you for watching! It was a joy! Can't want to do more Bee Gees!
@@biggmerkreactions you won’t regret it. Any track, any genre - they never fail. Nights on Broadway is my next suggestion. So darn funky! For pure harmonies- Will you still love me tomorrow. Their tribute to Carole King. With love from the UK 🇬🇧.
It's guaranteed to get virtually everyone up on the dancefloor. No matter what age. Immaculate group, astounding music!
She not a villon listen well dont b small
Try there songs Mamma Mia ,SOS, Voulez Vous , Fernando ,Thats Me , Winner Takes It All , Kisses Of Fire, Does Your Mother Know,
It’s remarkable to witness her shift from Girl Meets World to chart-topping success. The song’s energy and lyrics were truly unexpected. Great video, keep up these kinds of reaction videos! 🖤👏
It really is. The shift has been great for her! Love to see it. & thank you!
This was an incisive review. You picked up on some important details to the draw and success of ABBA. You've got a lot to work through with ABBA, but I recommend "The Name Of The Game" for your next reaction. Also if you are so inclined, look into how Bjorn and Benny work through their creations. Also look into Michael B. Tretow, ABBA's now deceased recording engineer. And you absolutely cannot ignore the vocal prowess of Agnetha and Frida.
Thank you and I appreciate this additional background. I absolutely have to check out the Bjorn & Benny's creative process, as well as Michael Tretow. Agnetha and Frida as so perfect together and I love their voices, so I'll definitely check out "The Name of the Game". Thanks again!

A must do reaction: Avenged Sevenfold - A Little Piece of Heaven.
Great reaction..if you want to see one of their best live performances you have to do the double video of them performing Does Your Mother Know/Hole In Your Soul Live@Wembley Stadium. There are videos with both performances as they transition from one to the other, it is an incredible must see performance. I have been a fan for over 49 years and my love for them has never waivered.
Ok will do! Thanks for sharing!
new sus here....I can't wait to hear more!!! one suggestion Carrie UUnderwoods Temporary Home!!!
Hey there & welcome! I def have some Carrie Underwood in the queue. I'll check out Temporary Home! Thanks again for the sub!
