At higher heats, you can use avocado oil to help fight more inflammation too! Let me know if you have given it a try!
I just purchased some for the 1st time the other day. I'll cook with it 2moro
@@TheRoom2Breathe how was it ? Did it work ?
Avocado oil spray works great, thx
The pain in my OA is unbearable !! My knees, hips , ankles and feet and my left thigh hurt so much to the point where I can’t get out of bed now!! I’m obese with prior injuries so I was recently diagnosed with OA after a hospital visit!
I use avocado and olive oil. Thank you for this video. I have to watch the amount of protein I eat each day because of kidney disease.
It's so amazing that there are kind people like you who are trying to improve other people's lives. Thank you.
I appreciate the kind words!
You are kind and generous. Always finding ways to help us make our daily life easy. Thank you little Angel. God bless you.
You are so welcome!
If you're having a rough morning, chopping can be hard. I keep bags of frozen peppers and onions, broccoli, mushrooms and spinach. Put them in a pan with a little water to steam then add EVOO and eggs. Great to keep around the house if you can't get out ,too!
Great idea! I am 76 and finding doing these things more difficult. Trying to improve my quality of life. Thank you.
I was told at 28 i had severe arthritis in my knees. I'm 40 now and really struggling so I feel like finding your channel is saving my life. THANK YOU!
I understand but I didn't listen when they told me later in my 40 I would also have arthritis in my knee running on the streets . I worked really hard to keep strong and healthy though lockdown I would walk with my fella 530 when the 🐦 🕊️ were singing 🎶☘️🌲you can live a healthy live style or sit at home on a couch 🛋️ 😢in 2019 I did 6 days walking 💃 pilgrim in Spain 😎 and 2023 I am back to finish the second half in Spain northern side 8 days if I can do it anymore can do it and believe me I have had a lot of challenges in my life at 63 years 😢💔.
Hi Rachel. Restrict Carbs -to less than 30 g / day most days of the week, and eat as much garlic as you can. It’ll work wonders for your arthritis. My Mom, then my brother, and now myself, have found great relief in those two simple strategies. Hope you feel better soon. Blessings.
Have you considered the carnivore diet? I know it’s extreme in its concept, but it’s single best diet for people with serious auto immune issues and severe arthritis. From there you can introduce fruits to see which ones trigger and which ones don’t. All the best

Great breakfast idea thanks! - but consider getting rid of Teflon coated pans and Teflon/plastic utensils for stainless steel pan and utensils!

"Not Skittles!" Ha! Ya killin' me. You are my new PT crush. I admire the way you freely distribute these gifts to those of us whose suffering motivated us to find out what to do. This video is an exception to your simple, straightforward style. Really, the most detailed "How to cook eggs" ever. :-) ❤
Peppers have lectins in them that’s a inflammatory, most olive oil sold in the US has bad oil mixed in it because organic olive may be better. And your using a no stick pan and a plastic spatula. When those things are heated harmful chemicals come out of them and enter the food . A cast iron pan and a steel spatula would be better and you would get iron from the pan when cooking in it . Iron is good for you. Health coach Ron age of 63 .
I noticed the same things, surprised coming from a Dr?

I was dx with arthritis in my ribs in my mid-20's - told to take aspirin till it didn't work anymore, then I'd need cortisone, oh and stop all my horse activity. That last bit triggered my "no way"!! I began studying nutrition with Adele Davis and over my lifetime experimented with various low carb plans, exercise styles, and fasting routines. Began jogging in my 30's, kept riding even more. I'm pain-free at 77, still jogging, doing calesthenics, helping hubby clear forest acreage and remodel a 4bd home, and not only still riding but also just last year took over trimming my horse's hooves! 💪 I practice 2MAD and eat 95% whole food carnivore, include coffee, plant items for seasoning, and stevia-sweetened chocolate.
What does 2MAD stand for?

Dr Kuhn, one of best PT’s on internet. Love your presentation very much!
Happy to hear that!
There are little packages of fresh super veggies usually in the packaged salad section of the grocery store. They make it easy to do this if you have trouble chopping. They make great omelets. ❤️👵
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for that reminder!!! I was thinking I could only do frozen and completely forgot about those🤦
I recently found your videos on arthritis with knees and hips. Now, seeing this about anti-inflammatory foods….you are a blessing. My childhood into my mid-40s I regularly played tennis, rode horses, skied and studied modern dance. All that came to a halt when I tore an ACL in 1998 and the other in 2004. I had reconstruction on one, but the PT was so horrendous I chose not to for the other. I’m 68 now and had a successful left total hip replacement 6 years ago, but my knees are starting to feel dodgy. I can no longer bound up the stairs and descending takes time (the hip is great). Your videos and exercise demos give me hope I can get back to some normalcy and hopefully put off knee surgery, as that PT is straight out of Hades and I want to avoid it as long as I can. You are a PT Angel🙏🏽❤️
Get the knee surgery. The longer you let it go, the harder it will be. It's not going to get better. God speed.
General anesthesia, risk of infection, risk of thrombosis, risk of pulmonary embolism, it is worth avoiding
I love red peppers and tomaties. I have OA and tyoe 2 diabetes. Peppers and tomatoes lower my blood sugar. I have read there isnt enough research that nightshade veg reduce arthritic pain. Nutrition is complex. I thank the PT for introducing easy practical ways of inc vegtebles.
Thank you for this great recipe 👍 I tried it this morning and it was delicious.
My Dad suffers debilitating RA, and it breaks me to see the strong hero of my youth reduced to the frail caricature of the man I grew up emulating in so many respects.
So, thank you for your service ma'am.
What you're doing is commendable and I think there should be more Dr.'s like you in the world.
I am familiarizing myself with the dietary aspects of RA relief and your videos have been irreplaceable thus far .
Bless you.
I take medication prescribed by my doctor to help my RA.

After reading lots of comments it shows we can’t all eat the same food groups. I’m on an elimination diet to try and find my triggers and I’ve certainly found them. Functional medicine is transforming my life !
Are you in a program or are you just trying it, eliminations, on your own? I had a health coach who was directing me on an elimination diet but it just got too expensive for me.
@@karenbutcher5921 on a programme , I’ve had two consultations. It’s not going to be ongoing as now know my triggers and I’ll avoid them. Had full bloods which highlighted a few problems.
I just cover the pan with a lid or plate & let them "steam" until the tops of the eggs are free from the clear (slimy) whites. Then I slide the whole thing onto a dish & eat! Baby Bok Choy is my personal favorite when I don't have fresh broccoli on hand. I also use spring onions sometimes.😉
I literally came on here to make that same recommendation. Trying to flip the eggs once incorporated is akward and you risk damaging the yolk. Simply add a splash of water, cover and the eggs will cook perfectly. No need for akward flipping.
Yes, I do the same.. softens the veg and cooks the eggs beautifully
THANK YOU JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FANTASTIC
Red peppers are part of the nightshade family which causes inflammation and pain. I stopped eating them because of that.
Thank you❤️ I tried it and I LOVE IT. IT actually works
You’re welcome 😊
Looks great! (One thought: How about replacing egg with tofu! :) Even less inflammatory, and full of protein!) Love your channel, and your energy. :)
Soy IS inflammatory. As are peppers unfortunately. Eggs can be for some people but fewer than processed soy products like tofu.
@@tostamixtabifana97 Its the opposite. Soy is ANTI-inflammatory. Read a few more studies...
We have always made this in our household. We call it a frittata. And we always add fresh garlic.
Thank you, Dr. Kuhn. I have had inflammation in the past. Doing good now. ❤
Great to hear!
I just came across your channel. This looks very delicious. My test results had came back with rheumatoid arthritis psoriatic arthritis osteoarthritis and osteopenia and fibromyalgia. I'm going to try this recipe and hopefully plenty more come from your channel.

All of these comments….this breakfast is fantastic for most who are not so neurotic
I'm glad you liked the breakfast and hope you enjoy the channel!
thanks so much. I have MS, so very interested in anti inflam ideas.
Hi just watching the video on breakfast for arthritis, i slightly confused as I’ve read that arthritis sufferers shouldn’t eat peppers and tomatoes due to them containing lectins . Lectins create inflammation which causes the pain .
Yes, no peppers at all but I eat just some tomatoes in moderation
Just started an anti-inflammation eating plan. made this with different veggies and it was delicious!!! I scrambled my eggs. Thanks.
Glad to hear you liked it!
I'm just starting out researching and making list on what to eat and stretching exercising. I tuned in your videos quite helpful thank you. Because I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis now my life change with my health. Where do I find your recipes?

Looks so yummy! Thank you for your wonderful tips, and really taking the time to explain it so throughly. ❣️
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I noticed that your pan has anti-stick coting, which most likely is toxic. I recently detoxified my kitchen, and perhaps paying more attention to these things.
Excellent content. Thank you.
Welcome!

My pleasure. Hope you like the rest of the videos!
Looks so pretty. And yummy. I would choose a pan that is not covered in a non stick coating (since lots of negative issues reported with that) but that is just a personal opinion. Great breakfast suggestion. I will try it out since veggies are always hard to get plenty of for me. Thank you.
I thought bell peppers were not good for arthritis, since they're in the nightshade family, which causes inflammation. What is your thinking on this? Thanks.
I ate this morning, add ed Toft for extra protein and made my egg in a different pan and placed on top of veg. Much easier. 👍🏼
Thanks for this channel
It's my pleasure!

You can sprinkle some turmeric into the oil to increase the anti-inflammatory effects.
Make sure eggs are pasture raised so the chickens are not fed corn. Corn is an inflammatory food
The cholesterol in animal products occludes the arteries with cholesterol plaque deposits that lead to atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, stroke, dementia and diabetes. Most of the oldest healthiest people in the world live in the blue zones and live meat-free, plant-based.
Free range chickens ❤
I don't so much care about the corn feed, but rather the overall welfare of the poor chickens. That's why I buy eggs from very low stocking density farms where the hens are free to roam.
Thank you soooo much. Love your video's and your personality too. :)
You are so welcome!
This looks lovely, thank you. Veggies are always so tasty.. We have been eating a Turkish breakfast if we don't want hot... Sliced tomatoes, peeled sliced cucumber, two boiled eggs, a handful of olives & a sprinkle of good quality olive oil. Follow up with a portion of plain live yoghurt with a teaspoon of proper honey. If you feel you need a little carbs some gluten free flour mixed with your Yog & dry fried in a heavy pan as flat bread.
Interesting! Thanks for comment.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Look delicious… thank you so much!!!😊
You're welcome!
That looks yummy and I love the color. I have been gradually increasing my intake of vegetables and fruit. For breakfast, I like soft scrambled eggs with cooked spinach on the side. Another go-to breakfast, especially refreshing in the summer, is a plate of cottage cheese, pieces of assorted melons, and sliced avacado.
Love your videos! This one reminded me to add EVOO to my shopping list. I'm 73 with a bad back, even after a spinal fusion, so I need exercises that don't put undo strain on my back. Yours appear just what I need - just tried the balance ones and am going to keep doing those and need those that strengthen my hip muscles. Thank you!!!
Glad you love the videos and thanks for sharing!
I do veggies and eggs seasoned with turmeric, garlic, and pepper. I add medium to hot salsa to my scramble for more flavor.
Yum!!
Thank you-
You are so welcome! Thanks for supporting the channel.
I will begin tryin this.
Glad you liked the video!
I literally had that last night after I came in from the pub...Added cauliflower rice...Great nutrition and exercise is so important for OA.
Yep!
Everyone should try the AIP diet protocol to find out what foods they are sensitive to.
Thank you
Welcome!
We cook with avocado oil and keep the EVOO for salads.
That looks good. I have a regular breakfast I enjoy but do like a change now and then. I’ll give this a try.
Yes, I’m totally with you! We make this every morning but sometimes change can be good!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
looks good. I will add to my normal egg breakfast
Love olive oil low heat with sliced garlic while getting dressed or quick shower then adding to greens and eggs
Good video. However I would not trust any pan coated with non-stick surface even with using an oil. Heat can make unhealthy chemicals slowly come out of the the Teflon and cause all kinds of issues including joint pain. Safer to go with Stainless steel or cast iron or even glass.
I have done several different diets to try to help inflammation and what I have found is eating Carnivore is the way to go.
Beef, Butter, Bacon & Eggs works the best. You can eat any meat really - it doesn't have to be beef but the more the fat the better. Ribeye & Eggs is great and eat only - One Meal A Day is a great help as well.
and sprinkle some turmeric with cumin to change the flavor. I'll be buying more pepper from now on, but this looks like my breakfast of late. Cheers!
Looks great 👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you for this! What a delicious breakfast I‘ve just had! I like my scrambled eggs plain so I steamed what veggies I could find and then ate them with a spritz of lemon and some raw chopped shallots on top as a side to my plain scrambled eggs. Delicious! Thank you for the tip!
you're so welcome.
This looks great but be aware some people may have issues with nightshade vegetables (that contain solonine - a chemical found in all peppers except black, all potatoes except sweet, eggplant, and tomatoes). There is mostly anecdotal information out there not a lot of science, about this chemical causing an issue in autoimmune & RA, but I personally have experienced a worsening of my RA after a few weeks of eating these foods daily. I wasn't completely positive they were truly the cause so had stopped, had my symptoms go away after 2-3 weeks, and then gone back to eating them months later 4 different times (because I just wasn't positive they were an issue) in the last few years - but the same thing happened- a worsening of my RA (specifically ankles & knees where I normally only have an issue with my hands), then those symptoms vanished again after 2-3 weeks of stopping the nightshades. Something to consider for anyone with RA or an autoimmune issue.
Nice looking breakfast. 👌👍
It was nice tasting too!! Lol
Thanks very much for your health advice
I like this breakfast
Quick delicious nutritious.
Glad you like the breakfast!
great ideas
Glad you think so!
It's called shakshuka. A Middle Eastern favourite.
Alyssa, can you do more anti inflammatory food videos
Delicious, but why would you not use the third egg yolk? It has B vitamins and minerals.
Thank you! Can I ask why you didnt use the third egg yolk? Is there a disadvantage?
You're awesome! Thanks for this tips. I deal with inflammation after my hip surgery. Thanks😘
What I liked in particular about this recipe is that it had easy to find ingredients and would be suitable for someone with diabetes.
Yes, absolutely! Glad this could help :)
@@arthritisadventure. Do you not need carbs? All diabetics are different, but as a diabetic, I am to have 30 - 45 grams of carbs. This recipe is great, but I’ll need to add carbs.
@@mudhens4everI don’t know whether someone answered but you can have a low carb slice of toast or Mission has a carb balance tortilla to fill with the yummy veggies. If you want rice or potato cook up the night before and refrigerate. That process helps in how those carbs affect glycemic levels.
I thought peppers weren't good for arthritics. I hope you're right. I miss them.
I eat a whole egg and two egg whites, cooked in evoo with fresh garlic and a handful of fresh spinach. I add spicy condiments like turmeric and curry since I love them and need to lose weight.
Hi thanks. For video that look yummy I got gout an arthritis an bone to bone in my feet an knees
I like to sprinkle a mix of turmeric and black pepper on this dish when it’s done.
Sounds good 👍
Great! Glad you liked the video.
That is more like a frittata if you scramble them. One thing you don’t mention is nightshades. I would avoid red pepper for that reason. Avoiding nightshades has made a big impact on my joint mobility (and inflammation obviously). What is your thought about nightshades?
Interesting! Usually bell peppers are recommended as anti-inflammatory but everyone responds differently so it’s good that you found out that it’s one of your triggers. There hasn’t been much evidence saying that they aggravate inflammation. But again, each person is different!
@@arthritisadventure But you have heard about nightshades and the possible effect on arthritis? I think it is kind of like glucosamine... doesn’t effect everyone. That said, I have a friend with RA and she said bell peppers are a trigger as well.
Yes I have! Nightshades do have the possibility to aggravate inflammation in some. Same with gluten and dairy. They can affect some more than others. But usually the idea is to cut out processed foods first before cutting out natural foods when starting out. But when you've been following an anti-inflammatory diet for a while, then you can hone in on these specifics to maximize results!
@@arthritisadventure Absolutely. I was doing an elimination diet and tried eliminating nightshades (mostly bell peppers - which I ate a lot) for a few weeks and my knee gained a lot of mobility that had been gone a while. 🙂
Dr Gundry says you can peel and de-seed ripe peppers and reduce the nightshade factor 👍
Alyssa, love the 2.5 eggs to get more protein. 😊When you scrap your veggies into pan, turn your knife over to “nonsharpened or dull” side and swipe veggies in pan. You won’t dull blade and help to keep it sharper. 😉
exept for that you would need to take the yolk not the egg white. All the nutrients are in the yolk.......
Eggs also contain arachidonic acid, which promotes inflammatory processes. The cholesterol occludes the arteries with cholesterol plaque deposits that lead to atherosclerosis, heart attacks, stroke, dementia and diabetes
I’m wondering about the plastic cutting board and the nonstick pan which I’ve recently learned are both sources of toxic elements to our gut. Do you agree?
This is a good breakfast.
Great you think so!
That's a great breakfast I do it about 3 times a week. Try adding some yellow squash, tomatoes, and top with some avocado and cheese.😊😊
Interesting, I'll look into the squash.
Can you please post more warm breakfast ideas for anti inflammatory diet please. I love my toast in the morning and an alternative bread will be great 👍🏻
yes! I can work on that!
Can you show some breakfast ideas with good amounts of protein with out eggs (high sensitivity to egg whites). Thanks!
The most important thing to keep in mind when you don’t want your body to swell is,, quitting Salt ! Salt 🧂 makes my OA swelling worse! My legs swell up and fill up with water,, then my groin hurts and stings when I pee! 🥹🥹
