Lacey Baier Hello . I loved your video and I would love to sign up on your 30 day program. My question is since not having meat in the meal plans , where do we get the protein from?
      Thank you in advance.

Ive never done anything like this but I’m suffering so badly from chronic inflammation. I’m always so swollen, puffy, bloated, tired, etc. I made a grocery list, prepared all the meals just like you said, and I started my intermittent fasting as well. Let me just say that coming from a Mexican background the foods I bought, and the way you put them all together was odd for me,to say the least, but I am so desperate I continued on. Today I ate my prepared meals and was shocked at how much I enjoyed them!!! I love all the flavors and the way everything was combined. All my family wanted to try it! I really really hope this helps me. I’m eating this all week and If it helps me I’m changing the way I eat forever! Nothing is worth losing your health and vigor for life! Thank you!

I made this meal plan this week. OMG.. so delicious! I actually teared up when I started eating it because I found out I'm allergic to gluten and dairy and my entire diet had previously consisted of bread and milk products. I felt so lost and had no idea what to eat (that's how I found your video and blog). I must admit, the smoothie didn't keep me satisfied until lunch so I ended up including a small bowl of oatmeal to go along with it. But everything else worked P.E.R.F.E.C.T.L.Y. and kept me full all day and night. Okay, just to put that in perspective: I'm a 250 lb man... so when I say this meal plan is satisfying, It means something.

This reads as unrealistic spam. Very few people are allergic to one let alone two foods. Gluten would make you celiac and dairy would be lactose, the fact that wasn't said suggests to me this comment is either entirely false or the person is lacking alot of understanding.

@@AmsNl2BcnEs I have an inflammatory response to many foods. Eggs create gastrointestinal upset, dairy gives me migraines, and meat and fish of any kind inflamed my joints. Idk if it's just cause everybody is different but I have fibromyalgia which is alot like arthritis. I have found over the years that I can have thin skin potatoes like red or white potatoes as long as I don't indulge too much. Also premade frozen potatoes don't bother me. I think it has something to do with the starch or glycemic index in them? There's a potato diet & supposedly, if you parboil or parbake the potatoes & then refrigerate, it changes the carb content in the taters. Also I can't have quinoa, wild rice, brown rice or long grain rice. Jasmine rice, med grain rice or sushi rice doesn't affect me. I've been dealing with all this & doing the elimination diet over 20 yrs now & gees it's a literal pain but little by little I realize what I can & cannot have. Giving up tomatoes & cucumbers has been the hardest for me. It's been just recently actually that I've had to tell them bye-bye cause cuke n mater salad with thin sliced purple onion and a dressing of evoo & lime juice poured over then add salt, pepper, cilantro & toss...omg one of my most favorite dishes in the world & ima foodie so giving this up has been so hard! I gave up Dr. Peppers, smoking, alcohol, pizza, burgers & fried foods years ago but knowing that there are supposed healthy foods ive had to eliminate as well has been so hard. Just not fair but I prefer being pain free. Nuts & seeds don't bother me at all. I can't have regular oats, I have to get organic or gluten free. No nitrates. Low sugar is a must but I can have some because I'm hypoglycemic 🙄 ugh. My diet is a mess but I'm getting all figured out & that's my point here in this novel (sry) is to each their own. We all have to & must figure out what foods to avoid. It's such a flipping hassle when you love food. In my older age I'm being to have a love/hate relationship with food cause something that was once fun to me (grocery shopping, cooking, eating) is now causing me grief & I do not like it. I find myself eating gf oats with banana... smoothies... SALADS... & flax wraps with vegan content more than anything else. I just really don't even enjoy cooking anymore. My food luster has dwindled down to very little these days because of this illness.

I feel you. I love to bake, and I used to enjoy making quick breads with whole wheat flour, with banana or berries, apples, dates, nuts, but I have such bad arthritis. I'm changing to the anti inflammatory diet. I also need to lose weight as I am 69, overweight and have slightly elevated BP and cholesterol, plus sleep apnea! I need to make big changes and it's hard!! I already take fish oil, turmeric, vit D, a multivitamin, and have for 10-20 years.

Started this meal plan on Friday 22.03.24 with the
16 - 8 fast at the tender age of 61. Only been on it for 2 day's and I am already
finding it agreeable with my body as my organ are saying thank you. I have a very sweet tooth however the energy bombs are really satisfying and after eating two or three (shall I say) i feel really good and havent raided my partner's empty calorie box of biscuits chocolates and crisp. especially whilst i am on the
    anti - inflammatory diet.
The recipies really suit me they are quite filling, and I know that I am going to look and feel great while staying on it
    Thank you Lacey

I've made it to day 5, and am feeling well! I have added some protein to a couple of the meals - one night I had a small piece of salmon, another night tuna, and a couple times diced avocado. I am trying to eliminate taking pain killers for arthritis, and this seemed like a good place to start. I have also added an intense stretching program that I think is helping too.
I wanted to address some of the other comments here. If you are not a regular cook, my advice is you need to add extra time to this meal prep. I'm guessing Lacey's idea was having everything prepped before you start cooking & putting this all together - like veggies all cleaned & cut-up, lemons squeezed, etc. Have all your spice containers out, measuring items at the ready, etc. Know & have ready all your containers that the prepared foods will go into, and ready the space in your frig to receive these items. And I'd also suggest you go shopping ahead of time, like on another day. I started this on Monday of this week, and went to the store in the morning ... then came home & started cooking. Because I hadn't done any of this other prep ahead, this took me much longer than 1 hour & 45 mins. I had had my morning smoothie before going to the store, but lunch was really delayed! But I will know better next time!
I also have a question: I thought the plan for anti-inflammation is to eliminate refined carbs from the diet. Are quinoa & wild rice acceptable in this definition?
Thank you Lacey! I love your videos & advice ... I'm going to attempt your 7-day plan next, and probably your 30-day too!

The sweet potatoes, bananas, rice and others have high carbs. This is not a low-carb meal but an antiinflamatory. I'm gonna try it. But I live with 2 other adults. I'm gonna have to figure them into the equation. And then watch them eat their junk food with it. Wow, I may have a resentment somewhere.

Lacy I appreciate your dedication and time making these videos. With that said, My lyme doctor advised me that the garbanzo beans ( any beans) are not good for my inflammation, as well as the wild rice. I spent a good bit on these meals and it was a blow to find out that all the work and time spent was in vein.

Any grains beans or legumes can be soaked overnight in some acidulated water then rinsed before cooking to reduce this effect significantly. Also cooking dry them soaked beans in a pressure cooker can also reduce lectins.

I can’t wait to make the lemon balls. I don’t know about other people but I started an anti-inflammatory diet and I am not allowed to have oils nor cheeses. When I cut out animal products and oils my knee pain went away in five days. I had been taking Cortizone shots in my knee and was at the point that I actually bought a cane. I removed all nightshades from my diet for a year, due to joint pain. That included white potatoes, eggplant, tomatoes, and all peppers ( not black pepper-- that's different). After one year, I was able to reintroduce potatoes and tomatoes in moderation; I can have them 2-3x/week. But I can't do peppers of any kind at all, no matter how mild. Your mileage may vary.

You could switch some of the ingredients, or add some herbs, or spices, It would be easy to add some different fruits to the smoothies such as berries. I freeze my meals! I cook every other Sunday only and fill the freezer with lunch or dinner meals, double bagged. Helps a lot, espy working 2nd n 3rd shifts. Ex: make meatloaf but stuff n bake into zuccinis aka zuccini boats; or stuff into baked red peppers, or ...meatloaf and broccoli). Once cooled enough, I fill 4 quart freezer ziploc bags and then put those 4 in one larger 1 gallon bag, label it. Or I'll bake chicken and stuff it w quinoa n brocolli, chicken salad baggies, and chicken taco baggies. Each combo gave me 3, 4 meals, so I'd have a month's worth of variety. I had an expensive food vacuum thingy but found that double-freezer baggies worked better. You can use a straw to suck the air out or you can let water squeeze the air out, too by dunking the filled bag in water up to the lid, zip it and double bag your baggie with similar meals.

Questioning some of these food choices.
Although Turmeric, kale/greens and sweet potato are all good for people w inflamation almost all of the other foods are very contraindicative.
Nuts ( almonds in particular) Are very inflammatory as the skin in particular is not only hard to digest but contain tannins whi h negate any nutritional benefit.
Beans/legumes are also unfortunately a big No for people who suffer from chronic inflamation due to anti nutrients known as lectins as well as also being very hard to digest.
Grains are another highly inflammatory food.
Essentially someone with chronic inflammation should initially follow an Elimination diet/AIP until symptoms resolve and healthy digestion has been achieved and acknowledged AND THEN can attempt the slow reintro of SOME of these nutrient dense foods.
My goal here is growth via knowledge. Not to come off as rude or condisending!
For people looking to heal their bodies of chronic longstanding inflammation naturally I suggest researching the auto immune paleo protocol otherwise known as AIP, maybe take a look at Stephen Gundry's plant paradox but certainly take with a grain of salt.
I have had chronic inflammation for over 10 years and have done countless hours of r Research The only thing I've learned for certain is that no one person or diet is a 100% accurate.
I was best served by seeking professional help from an all natural registered dietitian.
    Hope this was helpful.
    Be well and stay posirive!
    Xo

@@patriciatetzel728 I used to think the same way you did...with a passion! But then I got sick, I mean really, chronically ill. I have been healing for the past couple of years on high quality, pasture-raised animal products directly from the farm. I make my own bone broth now and exclusively have learned to cook at home. It is only now, after working on healing for this long period of time that I can begin to reincorporate *some* fruits, veggies, and legumes that I could not eat previously. Even though it was difficult to start eating meat again after almost two decades of not doing so, it has been a godsend! Finally, I am not bedridden anymore!

It is dependent on a person's view & the food selected. The reasoning of budget. Many say variety. When we have certain ingredients these can be used different ways so the appearance & taste are different. Say you have cabbage eat it raw as a wrap, in a type salad, bake it, or boil it & there's good broth to drink too. Each way is different in appearance & flavor.

The way I see it is, you prepare a whole week's meal for convenience so when you get home hungry and with no energy or desire to start preparing and cooking dinner (or lunch for the next day) you end up ordering out or eating unhealthy fast food instead.
If you can't eat food that has been cooked and refrigerated for
more than two days, then go ahead and cook daily. But you should not eat at restaurants or order out because most restaurants use pre cooked food or portions of the food, which may have been frozen for days, if not months.

Dr. Gundry has many videos. One is something like The Lectin Theory Explained ( which he states is not a theory.) In this video he talks of other Drs. & their books; like always I listen carefully. I have gotten much info from many Drs., researchers & the studies that have been done. The idea is gather info & apply to the lifestyle we are desiring to achieve. Each body's immunity or response seems to differ. Age seems to play a role. I recently listen to a video 5 Worst Foods For Arthritis bc if it can cause or effect in one way perhaps it can in another.

I so wanted to try this. I’m a good cook, but this menu was too intense too soon. I made the full menu, but could not eat this food. First of all, absolutely no meats. I hate the taste of turmeric and ginger. Chic peas never got crispy ...kale is the sister of plastic wrap. I’m not giving up. Will try getting used to these foods more gradually. Familiar with spinach, just don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat it for breakfast
. All this type of food is deja vu of the 1960s health food mania, when moms made disgusting whole wheat birthday cakes for their kids because it was ‘healthy’
