I still have many calls that go poorly even after making 60k outbound cold calls A VP yelled at me yesterday for calling her after a member of her team had already told me no.. had to give it a shot Having a short memory is important bc rude prospects can be a cloud of discouragement that lingers in your mind Each conversation is a brand new opportunity to make a connection
Why are gold fish the happiest animal on the planet? Because they have a 10 second memory. Be a gold fish. Great stuff, Trent. Thanks for the quality content as always.
This video is gold! I learned a few awesome things. First, the importance of empathy when calling people - they’re busy humans, not just names on a screen. Also, I loved the idea of "having a short memory" after a rough call. It really helps to shake off the negativity. Finally, Trent's tip about handling objections like, "I don’t have a budget," is spot on. Instead of giving up, he says to focus on building a long-term relationship and showing value. Pretty inspiring stuff! Can’t wait to try these tips!
Write a list of 10-20 common objections, then read it through slowly 2-5 times a day. You can then remember it instinctively on calls a month later (60-150 times read).
Hi Trent, a lot of your content is centered around the SDR function and outbound prospecting, which is great! Any chance you can share how you manage other parts of the deal cycle. Think it would be great content that not many others share
A large proportion of people find cold calls a bit intrusive, and often aren't looking for the services offered. That's why, as a professional cleaner, I much prefer to find my clients on apps where people are already looking for my services, like Turno, for example!
Hey Brian, I am also a professional cleaner if you have any time I’d love to chat and compare notes to see how we might be able to bounce ideas off each other
Love all your content from Australia mate. Would be good to hear some success stories on deals you’ve closed and how you implemented the frameworks you talk about.
thank you so much for this it's giving me ideas on how and what to say on objections in solutions selling.. I wonder if you have ever called to the asia pacific territories? My colleagues told me many are snobbish..
Sir, Most calls end up in "Not interested" and " Already have Team" how to break these constraints? Can we expect video with detailed explanation or any suggestion you could drop here.
*With all due respect, I would never ask "how are you" at the beginning. They know you don't know them & it comes across as bullshit & a waste of time. Just pitch the benefit & ask a question immediately. Cheers!* 😊
Repeat back what they said and ask why or ask for an explanation. That's their pain point right there. Write it down. Ask them a "in perfect world" question if applicable and get them to talk more. Less is more!
I notice you don't start your script with the recipient's name or mention it throughout. Is there a reason for this? I might have missed it but I don't think I heard it being referenced. Curious to know your thoughts.
It would help if you did a Black Friday special on your product "The Ultimate 8-Step Cold Calling Strategy & Script for B2B Sales" . Perfect gift from Managers to each of the salesmen they manage.

That’s it 🫡
Thanks, Trent. Cold calling is definitely a challenging job especially that English is not my first language.
The “prospecting” analogy was “gold”.

B2B telemarketing is acceptable. But B2C must be illegal!
That's too boring.
