      Thank you! There are definitely multiple videos in the works already with different rooms.

    I love the entire house it is so stunning!
    I personally will not do the garden tub again only because the one I have now is a ton of wasted space. It uses an incredibly large amount of hot water. In my next build we will have a larger shower and a smaller luxurious copper tub.
    Gorgeous home! 🤗

    Beautifully appointed home! I picked the same look of the floors for our build in Florida. Hope to move in June, 2023.

      Thank you! I'm so exhausted from it all so far but I'll take that any day over the long wait! There's so much more to do than I really thought about, every time I get something done there's still such a long list of things. But all in all it's a good problem to have, we're definitely happy to finally be in.

    Congratulations!! We actually closed onnthe same day April 27th. Itvwas literally a year and a day from when we signed the contract. A lonnnng journey that I am sooo so glad is over lol. How your decorating going? Its so exciting to finally be in the house. I am LOVING this part of it lol. 😊

    • @nicolenieves
      @nicolenieves  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congratulations to you as well! So exciting to hear that you're in after that long wait, it's crazy how that waiting period is so mentally and emotionally taxing.
      The decorating is good but honestly much slower than I thought! My dining table is currently a catch-all for a bunch of decor I don't know where I want it to go yet and my garage is packed with furniture I'm refinishing 😅 It's definitely the fun part though!

    Beautiful home what color would you call that floor? Also did they offer an upgrade for the light switches and receptacles to Decora?

    Hi Nicole can you share what colour did you use on the exterior of entryway door ? And what is the ceiling height on the main floor?

  • @sophiehong4365
    @sophiehong4365 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for Sharing the new house tour, Nicole. I like the floor at the first level, as you mentioned the paint color on the wall needs be updated, from the video looks like a little yellow color or warm cream color, i think the builder uses the small window for the bedrooms upstairs because they try to save some cost by putting two small instead of one large frame type of window. Also i am surprised you didn't upgrade the bath tubs. Builders are so greedy as they put very old style bath tubs that used about 20 years ago in the current homes with very less money spent on their own, but once you asked for upgrade, they charge thousands for that.

    • @nicolenieves
      @nicolenieves  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The paint is definitely too creamy. I love a warm white but it's too dark/yellow!
      Yes we've looked into upgrading our tub (I'd LOVE to rip out all of that and put in a freestanding tub!) and had looked into some different variations and showers for the others but you're so right, the options they had were very expensive. Maybe someday!

      You said in another video you were picking from Benjamin Moore colors and I was wondering what color this is on your walls because I'm looking at painting our new build Edgecomb Gray which is a greige shade that looks a little more beige than grey. Very hard to get a feel for a paint color until you see a whole room that color. Thanks for sharing your journey in building this house I got some great tips from watching your videos.

    Wow. This is stunning! So worth the wait! Can you tell me your floors you have? I love the color. We need to do ours post closing!
    Your bedroom is a dream!!!

    • @nicolenieves
      @nicolenieves  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!! Yes, it's Bruce Flooring LifeSeal rigid core LVP in Spring Mist. The pictures on the website are pretty misleading and I couldn't find any posts or pictures of it actually installed anywhere! I know the samples we saw at the design center looked beautiful so I was getting a lot of anxiety when the only pictures I could find looked nothing like what I had wanted, so I was very relieved to see that it was the nice light oak!
      What are you thinking about going with?

    • @lilysky2
      @lilysky2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you so much. We want an LVP but I just wanted to make sure I found one I liked. The model home had an engineered hardwood that was stunning. But I really would like to do lvp. When we move in we will have tile flooring and a ton of grout. I am not okay with that. So we wanted to change it right away!

    • @nicolenieves
      @nicolenieves  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hear you there! Grout is exhausting.
      I'd make sure to check out everything you can in person, the pictures on the flooring websites have been pretty misleading for what I've looked up. It's really nice to see them in people's homes on instagram so I tried checking out the hashtags with the flooring name to get some closer-to-reality full scale pictures. I hope you can find some of those for yours! I'm such a visual person, the wait to see was awful.

    • @lilysky2
      @lilysky2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nicolenieves I am going to order a few samples also. I am a very visual person also. I just want a nice light oak, that will hold up with 2 cats and our 2 kids for now.

    • @nicolenieves
      @nicolenieves  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! We have 10' ceilings on the main level and 9' on the second floor and basement. I would definitely recommend the taller ceilings! It makes such a difference

    Which direction is your house facing? Do you ever get too much sunlight?

    • @nicolenieves
      @nicolenieves  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! We face mostly east, the sun comes through pretty much right on the front door in the morning and our backyard gets a ton of direct light in the evening. It does seem like a lot sometimes! It really came down to just installing some shades on the right windows so that we aren't getting major glare/heat at certain times.
      I will take that sunlight over the darkness of our north-facing apartment any day though!

      Not a problem at all! Looking into it further it is a mix they call "Augustine White" but the closest match I've found was McCormick's Cool Platinum (which is a warm yellow-beige? Such an interesting name!)
