Just a word of advice from experience when buying a new home. You're so excited to get in there that you don't look and make sure everything is the way it's supposed to be you only have a little bit of time that they'll fix it for free. So make sure you go in there and check everything. One thing that was really off on my house was the outside stucco you might want to make sure to check that
Congratulations on your new home. I like how much care you both put into protecting your floors, etc.-- such good stewards of what the Lord has provided you.
I am so excited to see your video! We will be moving in the same neighborhood (the donkeys were the clue) ❤ and it looks like we have a very similar house plan. I'm very happy to have seen this. Thanks for sharing!!
Welcome, Valarie! I’m so happy to have you here 🥰 I love our view too - we get to see/hear donkeys daily which is fun for the kiddos (and let’s be honest - me too 😉)

Hi! We’re purchasing from KB new build as well. Are you happy with your build? I’m so excited but nervous since I always see mixed reviews about their build! Congrats btw
Hi Francesca, we are happy with our new build. We had some hiccups in the first few months, but they have been resolved by KB. I hope your home buying experience goes smoothly!
Sorry for the delay! I wouldn’t say they were huge. KB was quick to fix the issues that came up. I documented the issues as they occurred on this channel if you want the specifics.
@Limabean Living Warning, this includes unsolicited advise or TMI, with good intentions. The soon repairs are done the better, then keep a running list as you find things wrong or they pop up. Ensure in the beginning of the 10th or 11th month, to start writing up your final Job List to fix the house. Like any cracks or movement in and around the house, nothing is too small or too big. Submit the List to the housing company and have a duplicate for yourselves, get them to signed and dated your copy and print out a copy of yours, so there are no disputes on the final warranty check. Put one copy up in the kitchen and tick off the repairs as done, Store the extra copy away safely incase something happens to you original list. Spare tin or tins of the paint used, marked with the colour name and paint type, written on it lids. Then you will have some touch up paint or a sample to get matched up at the paint store. Hopefully you have already taken out building and contents insurance as you are now responsible if there is any vandalism especially prior to moving in full time. I imagine you have this covered in with your mortgage, as long as you have it now. One final word of advise, make your mortgage repayments weekly, like divide your monthly payments into four and pay it every week by direct debit. The bank can't refuse you doing it. They may try to talk you out of it but stick to what you want to do as you will be not only be paying your interest but the principal. Any bonus money or left over budget, put onto your house payments. You will get in front quicker and save a bunch of money long term. So instead of paying it off until just prior to Juan's retirement, if you don't have a penalty clause for early settlement repayment, you will pay off your mortgage years before expected. We did this on both our houses, the first was paid in full in less than 12 years. Our second home we managed to get it finalized in about three years because we owned our first house outright when we took out our second mortgage. Yes we went without but we made up for it on retiring without debt, not many people have that luxury today. We ended up overseas and on cruises when we finally retired and while we aren't wealthy, we are comfortable in our retirement. Congratulations on your new home, I hope you are wonderfully happy growing up in it watching your children grow up. Another huge saving may come by installing solar panels Being a PHD in mathematics, you more than anyone else should understand what I am saying. The people I have advised to do this were blown away in the savings they made. The interest on any loans, is where banks make their huge profits from. Better in your pocket than the banks. You have so much on your plate right now, you probably have simply gone along with the Bank's repayment structure which is heavily in the banks best interests. Not yours.
Thanks for looking out for us! I appreciate the advice 😊 Anything we can do to save money in the long run is worth it! We actually bought solar panels for the house! It is going to save us a lot.
KB is perfect.. KB is love
