That was a fantastic video, thank you! I've been in sales for six years now, and I really resonated with your final point about how we're not inferior to the customer or there to take punches. You absolutely must change your mindset to that of a valuable professional that only wants to solve problems and do deals that are appropriate. If not, I agree, you should definitely find a different career path.
The first half of this clip was same-old, same-old, and I was getting upset BUT... the second half got better. I've been preaching some of those points to my people for years. Not an easy thing to get across to salespeople, because it's contrary to what's been said and taught for so many years. But it's true and it works. Bravo, for having the guts to break away from the pack (still at a safe proximity but hey, it's a start).

I went reddit to see what my Peeps had to say about cold calling. One guy had great approach. He would canvas 20 building a day just ask to speak to owner.
"Wo, wo, wo, what is the price?" Me: "That depends on your needs, Can you explain your exact needs?" Is that correct? How do I handle a cold or warm call where the person says "We already have an IT/computer service and don't need yours. Good bye?" I got that a few times, where they hesitated at the end for one tenth of a second to see if I was going to say anything? Frank

I've listened to all of your sales videos and it sounds like, in summary, that I want to talk like a doctor to a patient (the prospect) overall. Is that correct? Frank
If the prospect says "What's the price" in a bossy way trying to push u along, then shudnt u go with it? At that point I don't see how one can recover. If you try anything the guy would seem suspicious and think "well y is he avoiding telling me the price?" or somthing, no?
No you shouldn’t. It gives the prospect control over the conversation. Think of it this way; If they interrupt you and ask for you to cut to the chase and you give in to their demand what makes you think they won’t do it again? The whole idea is you don’t want to be their punching bag. You are the one that’s the trained professional and you should be thinking of it that they are on your time and they are not on your time. If you just give in it makes them lose respect for you and they see it as they don’t really need to listen to you. If they are absolutely bossy and being rude and not giving you the time of day then don’t even bother with them because then at that point you know that they are so closed minded they won’t even purchase from you if you manage to get to a closing question.
Ask them if they are needing to discuss their budget, and what that budget looks like. If they are asking you this, you were possibly talking too much over things they didn't care about, so through your questions at the beginning try to genuinely connect with their needs. Focus on the results your stuff brings rather than just features as it is so easy to go on about features. The ones who cut you off like things short, succinct, to the point, how is this going to make things better for me. Hope that helps.
I’ve watched a couple of this guys videos and maybe it’s because I’m in car sales instead but this guys weird pauses and looking away just seems so scripted it’s not natural.

Get them talking is a great tip -- no better way to close a prospect than to simply let them talk more.

I had an acquaintance refer to what he would do if he couldn’t work in sales… I can, and it’s also true leadership has parts of sales.
