    It can also be inherited. But that’s not a sure sign either that you’ll get it.

      @@Levitasbehealthy yup. My uncle had the beginnings of it, dad didn’t have it, my grandfathers didn’t have it, my brother doesn’t have it and I don’t have it. I do wonder where my uncle got it though. Further back in his line that we don’t know about?

    Strokes and mini strokes also affect memory and language.

      @@Levitasbehealthy exactly. I struggle with it. Fortunately haven’t had a mini stroke in a while but the damage is done. It may not show up in whatever test but it’s there. I’ve had them off and on since my first, in 1987 when I was 28. Couldn’t talk, could barely understand, paralyzed on the left side. Those disappeared but not the memory part and language part. My short term memory is gone. I don’t talk much. Writing I always have to spell check unable on my own to recognize mistakes.
