I'm still trying to accept this diagnosis. I have no idea why at 38 I've developed such severe anxiety without any traumas or life events. I'm still reluctant to accept it but after 10 ekgs and an echocardiogram and labs and chest xrays, I still wasn't prepared to accept it. This video is a blessing, and even more is the people in the comments sharing their experiences. Thanks everyone

Hey Sean! You are not alone here buddy! I’m 31 and I went to EKGs lab tests and emergency visits over the past 6 months. All this feelings I had I thought I was gonna die. It has become better now. I’m still trying to accept my anxiety but working on it. Our mind is so powerful !

Brother, I'm like that every morning. Every day I experience bad feelings, anxious, anxious, negative thoughts about illness and death every day, can't stop those thoughts, my heart is unhappy every day, my body is never fit, I feel very sick, so it's hard to smile, lazy to talk and socialize because I always feel unsettled and restless, always worried about my health, when the road feels awkward, can't focus, always looking for info on symptoms on Google and comparing them, increasingly anxious, weight loss, body weak, no energy, sleeping not qualified, and there is no interest and motivation to do activities, the feeling of always being uncomfortable is a symptom of what this is really about🙏🙏🙏

After looking at dozens of TH-cam videos explaining anxiety, I personally feel that all of the 20 symptoms explained fits in well with my struggles. I went to the doctor a few months back suggesting that I may need to go for an ECG. They check my heartbeat and reassured me that my heart sounded fine and with the symptoms I was explaining to them were panic attacks. I feel I will revisit this video a lot where I can reassure myself ✨💪🏼

Oh Lord😱. Where do I start? I tick every box. I have had problems since childhood with my first main ‘panic attack’ at 18. I suffered alone as I could not explain to anyone. The breathing was the main problem then and still affects me today at 74 years of age. Absolutely no way to live and it has really ruined my life 😢. I still live in hope and have the odd good day.

Sir, I was in panic attack in February and my blood pressure raised 160/100. Previously I've no blood pressure issues but I've palpitations issues and I'm taking Propanolol - half of 10mg(morning)
After this incedent I visit a cardiologist and he prescribed me,
    Telmisartan 40 mg(night) + Nebivolol 2.5 mg(morning) + Clonazepam 0.5 mg 1/2(night)
After 10 days my BP become in normal at 120/80 and my all blood report ware super normal. After 3 months My doctor Decreased my doses.
Telmisartan 20mg + Nebivolol 2.5 mg and told me few some weeks you can stop Telmisartan 20mg as well.
After 2 months I'm suffering from anxiety and panic attack because of my father sickness and he died last month.
    I go to a Phychiatrist yesterday, he prescribed me, Propanolol Extended 40mg(morning) + Mirtazapine 15mg(night) + Telmisartan 40 mg(night)
Sir, Is is okay to take first dose at Propanolol 40mg ? Where Im taking Nebivolol 2.5mg ?

I was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder 20 years ago (traumatic childhood). In most situations of daily life I can deal with it, but it goes totally wild in social situations when I'm in the center of public attention, eg., presentations at work. I can't do these without diazepam/lorazepam because I lose the ability to speak. My throat gets so tight, heart rate goes so high that I can no longer speak properly, I start mumbling and cannot pronounce words, my voice gets much higher and gets instable, all of which is of course embarassing. Only with benzodiazepines it's manageable. I'm currently on a burnout sick leave and I'm wondering whether I should ever go back to my career - these presentations are absolute killers for me, it feels like they are destroying my health more and more. Have been doing these for over 20 years now, but never got accustomed.

I am 65 now and like you I have always suffered from bad anxiety as a result of childhood trauma....my symptoms are very much the same as yours....I have tried everything to get some relief and the thing that helps me most is a breathing technique....it goes like this ....breath in through your nose ,about half a breath then hold for one second....without exhaling take another half breath in through your nose and hold for one second....finally exhale as slowly as you can through pursed lips...repeat this about 5 times or more if you need to...I hope you find this calming... I have tried every drug you can imagine and many "techniques" over the years...if it helps at all just know that you are not alone ...I wish you peace and calm in your life....

If the anxiety has only developed in the last 7 months you will be pleased to know that the chances of recovery are very good if you seek help. Unfortunately many people leave it decades before they get help and often end up on medication for life. CBT is the most effective treatment for anxiety disorders. If you can't afford or access therapy checkout my playlists. I have many videos that teach the principles and tools of CBT for different anxiety disorders (panic disorder, health anxiety, Generalised anxiety, Social Anxiety and OCD)

Hi, im 18 years old and I've been dealing with this since August 2022, when one day I got a lot of hives and they would not go away for like 3 or 4 days and then I began to have trouble breathing at night and at around 3 in the morning i could no longer take it so I told my mom. She checked my blood pressure, and it was extremely high, and I was shaking uncontrollably. She then gave me a pill that she takes for hypertension, and that helped which allowed me to sleep for at least 4 hours until it happened again. Then she told me to get on the treadmill, and that kind of helped. Then she ended up taking me to the clinic and the nurse made me fill up a form of questions and then she checked them and a couple of minutes later she told me that I had anxiety and that me not being able to breath well was one symtom. Since then, it has continued to happen but not that bad. A week later we started school and when I went up the stair to go to my clas si began to have trouble breathing and my teacher saw me having problems and she also said that it must be anxiety that I was dealing with. Since then, I have thought that I had cancer like leukemia, ovarian cancer, and cancer in my lymph node because I have had a swollen lymph in my neck for about 5 years. I thought that i might have diabetes, kidney, or liver disease. I also though I might have had pcos, endometriosis, or ovarian cancer because for the past 3 or 4 years I have been having irregular periods to the point where I only get them every 3 to 4 months and sometimes every 6 months. At the beginning of January this year I began to have itchy skin that would not go away so then I bought hydrating moisterising lotions which helped after using them for 3 or 4 days and using for the first 3 or 4 hours after applying because after that I noticed that even after applying cream my skin a few hours later it would get itchy again. Now it is februray, and there are days in which my skin gets very itchy but not as it did in January. Other symtoms or things that I have noticed in my body are these red dots it my skin, which i think are called petechiae and the first thing I thought was that they were something caused by a disease. I do remember getting them since I was younger, but I know it is something that bothers me. The reason is because now that I have been struggling with anxiety or with what I think is anxiety I have been looking at them more often, many times in a day and I have notices that they have been on my skin for over 3 or 4 weeks. I have also been asking and getting reasurrsnce from my mom or siblings. I feel like I have been having more hair loss than usual. Since then, almost every day, I'm googleing for symptoms, and it is getting very frustrating and tiring. I have also been feeling like fatiguef and tired, for example i can be walking and buying at a store but after 10 or 15 minuted i begin to feel tired and or weird, like dizzy but its not dizzyness. I sit down and a couple minutes later i feel better and a little more with energy.I have also been finding it hard to keep up with school, like my homework and a college class that I am taking that my high school offers in a program called dual enrollment. I have been working out every day or doing a section of yoga for the past 3 or 4 weeks, and I have seen a bit of improvement, or maybe it's just my head thinking that.
    * I'll probably be editing this comment a couple more times as I continue to remember what symptoms or things have been happening since this whole cycle started.
***Hopefully, you can see and reply to this comment and let me know if it is anxiety or health anxiety. Thank You. 😊

Hi Melissa. Sorry to hear of the difficult time you are having. The constant thoughts of having a disease and frequent reassurance seeking are very consistent with health anxiety. Skin conditions particularly eczema and hives are very common and usually harmless. Hives are a bit of a mystery that even doctors don't really understand but they are usually harmless. Hives often disappear on their own. (I had them for 8 months and they disappeared about 4 months ago). Its hard to say if anxiety causes skin problems but it can certainly make them worse and they often first appear at times of stress. If you treat the anxiety you might find that the physical symptoms become less severe. Can you access a therapist.? CBT can really help reduce health anxiety and its important to get help when you are young as it gets more difficult the longer you have had it. If you can't access therapy you will find lots of videos that teach CBT in my Health Anxiety playlist. th-cam.com/play/PLLLHgjmNNVTF5PT0N3sTulqL2JOfggva5.html

Hope you're well. I too have struggled in the past. I've been helped by following a daily course of diaphragmatic breathing. I'm a chest breather which has added to my physical pain as we're not supposed to breath from the chest. Diaphragmatic breathing helps to activate the Vagus nerve which helps to relax the body. It's hard to learn at first but if you remind yourself to diaphragm breathe for a minute or two at a time, a few times a day, you will eventually start to change your breathing pattern as the diaphragm will get stronger. There are videos on TH-cam which instruct you on how to do this.
