Honda makes four stroke trimmers. Smooth quiet and so easy to start. Only downside to them is they are a bit heavy.

It idles like a champ. 2 strokes tend to score the cylinder. You can't beat the lubrication system of a 4 stroke.

There is an old saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it. These all seem to not rev up high like a 2 cycle so best advice I have is just use it and don't worry about it.

feel the power! lol its cool how different it sounds, definitely can tell it aint a two stroke with that buttery smooth idle. All it needs if high lift high duration cam, a high rise manifold, dual holly carbs and glass packs and you could cut the titanic in half in one fell swoop lol

I would run either True Fuel or if you have a station, we have BP's where I live that sells ethanol free fuel. If the station you have that sells ethanol free fuel from a shared pump, make sure you run a bit into your vehicle first as there will be a bit of leftover fuel in the hose that has ethanol in it. Fortunately, the station I visit the ethanol free fuel is sold from a standalone pump. But ethanol just kills small engines. To me the extra cost is worth it to not have ethanol problems with my equipment.

Mr. Doug. Yes to the skip chain. Bobe8888 eluded to the Stihl 4mix. Shindaiwa began training service techs in 2002 on the C4 hybrid technology that was sold to Stihl. The difference in the Shindaiwa/Echo/Stihl and the Sennix is an oil sump. A crankcase of sorts. The way the internals are lubricated. I am uploading the safety chain vid now (at night) like Kain said not to do. I did however LOAD the description....this was a great INDIANA DOUG production as usual.

Thanks, Michigan Dave

Hard yank is a no-no with this saw. It has a form of compression release, but takes a smooth pull to make everything work together.
Roll out the Pull until you feel the compression stroke. Then just give it a smooth pull. It should start on the first few attempts.

    Heart Broken today.
After almost a year as my go to saw for topping out, limbing and cutting rounds up to 18"-20" I had to bring the Senix home in a plastic crate. Chain decided to jump off twice in about 20 minutes of cutting. Both times sounded like a tail bind(sprocket area) then the chain whipped off the bar.
The second time, on inspection while preparing to reinstall the chain I noticed it had ridden hard right at the Oil Fitting side of the oil slot. Looks like it may have intrusion into the Oil Tank area.
Trying to figure out why it was throwing the chain to start with I checked and the Sprocket seems to have excess lateral movement.
If the Sprocket is almost against the Engine casing, the Brake is offset toward the crank case(not centered on the clutch).
If I lightly move the Sprocket outward it aligns exactly on around the clutch.*
    * This position creates what I believe is an excess Between the 6 teeth and the Engine casing, and could allow the Drive links to slip into the under any side load condition.( Debris/small wood chunk, Cutting on the Low side.
I've sent a Service help request to Senix......... But not holding much hope for actual help.
No real parts listed online for repairs and no Decent Parts list comes with the saw.

Yes you can. There is no float bowl. Carb is much like one on a 2 stroke.

Does the owners manual give a break down of the saw? That could inform us on where we can “play a little”!
