@@robertocasavecchia91792 strokes with expansion chambers need no “pressure.” They resonate sound waves back toward the exhaust port helping to hold the charge for scavenging. The pipe that on this chainsaw is not an expansion chamber. A muffler does nothing to a 2 stroke except muffle the sound created by the exhaust. There are no performance gains from a muffler, however there are performance gain from opening the muffler so the saw can get exhaust gasses out quicker. This also helps with heat dissipation. Not all Americans are uneducated in 2 stroke theory.
