    I love older Poulans too. All of mine are made in 70s, and early 80s. I have a few runners, and a few needing serviced. They're as good as any modern equivalent as long as you perform regular maintenance on them.

    I bought one two years ago because of a ice storm. Two ricks of pecan later still runs fine. Just got it out after two years still runs.

    Your crying so hard about this saw makes me want to go buy one.

    It is hard to start for sure. Easiest way I found is couple long slow pulls to get the air fuel in there and then a quick short pull,just one revolution. Do that a couple three times and it starts every time.

    Lol thank you just got a bad saw. I've had mine for 2years and use it a lot. Yes it doesn't compare to my shindaiwa or Echo but it does keep up with them. Yes you gotta learn how to start it. It's a little different but know where near as difficult as your trying to make it.

      Maybe. Crap broke twice on me consecutively

      I had mine 6 months before my pullstart break 😂 and I'm a homeowner that only uses it every once in a while.

    might come down to a 4 stroke or electric chainsaw down the road thanks to the epa creaps.

      Agreed. In California 2 stroke anything is illegal

    It’s probably user error in this video.

    Why is the chain bar upside down

    It's not a bad saw at all it idles like a champ. I've taken apart a lot of two strokes and they tend to score the cylinder and not start up again. You can't beat the lubrication system of a 4 stroke.

  • @shyancole2490
    @shyancole2490 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you're having a hard time starting that small four-stroke engine and it's getting plenty of fuel inspired then you should probably check the valve clearance unless they're not adjustable and then in that case yes the saw is complete an absolute junk it's worse than the paperwork because it takes up too much room lol

    Still shaking my head at you...... I'm now 4.5 Cords into enjoying this saw........ It took apart 4 Black Walnut trees this month alone..........
    My PSA - People, you really don't need to take advice from whiners like this.
    * I just changed the oil for the first time and not a single sign of metal wear. *and Yes, you CAN run this saw upside down if necessary. (Some people think it is necessary when Top cutting works just fine)
    I've run it hard in 89 Degree weather without fail.
    My saws in order of Preference:
    Senix 49cc
    Salem Master 62cc 22"upgrade
    Greenworks 80v 18"
    Kobalt 80v 18"
    (2x)Poulan 40cc
    Wen 16" electric
    * Learn how to use and maintain your equipment Properly. Take are of it and it will take care of you.

      Buddy take it easy. It was mainly a satirical video. Aside from the over exaggerations everything I said was correct. Thanks for watching!

      "Buddy take it easy."
      Pass - People looking for advice on products actually look to People who to be knowledgeable about those Products.
      *It isn't just you*, but TH-cam is full of idiot know-it-alls that really either don't have a clue or are afraid of losing sales to a Product they (A) Don't Sell (B)Can't Service (C) never take the time to actually learn the ins/outs of maintaining.
      In the days it took you to decide to respond to my post I've cleared and cut up another 2+ cords of Black Walnut with the Senix and a little help from the Salem Master on the Bigger trunks.

    Worse than disposable. The harbor freight Portland is fair just for simple small jobs. Worth $150 to me.

      It is also fuel injected not carbureted

  • @MatthewSmith-to1hz
    @MatthewSmith-to1hz 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    To be fair, a 4 stroke chainsaw's potential is there.
    In the 70s, 80s and 90s 2 stroke motorcycles dominated the race circut. 4 strokes could not compete. However, thanks to Honda and Yamaha with their innovative designs in pistons, valves and timing 4 strokes could not only compete with 2 strokes, but in many ways dominated them. Now with efi systems, a 4 stroke motorcycle would blow a 2 stroke out of the water.
    That said, the potential is there, but the technology and execution aren't. Maybe 20 years from now, a company will make an effective 4 stroke chainsaw, but until then yeah 4 stroke chainsaws are garabage

    • @kalebbrown93
      @kalebbrown93 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What are you talking about. For the same CC size a 2 stroke will always be faster. To compete a 4 stroke has to be much larger in displacement than a 2 stroke. Hush/KTM make 2 stroke that are fuel injected as well. When you talk about advantages of a 4 stroke it would be the smooth consistent flat torque curve vs a 2 stroke.

    • @MatthewSmith-to1hz
      @MatthewSmith-to1hz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kalebbrown93 I dont see how a 2 stroke can be fuel injected. 2 stroke gas is a oil mixed ( which very dirty) that can clog an injector.

    Chainsaws have always been 2 stroke for a reason...

  • @markusk.488
    @markusk.488 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thats the worst review i know. You just say its bad and then fail trying to destroy the saw by putting it to full revs upside down. It just was out of fuel and i find it really impressive that it stil has lot of compression after being run upside down.
    I like the little saw and if you dont like it then its your opinion but then make a normal review where you test the saw and point out the good and the bad things.
