I’m looking at getting a ffb wheel, which I can match with my flight sim setup. Having a detachable rim will be almost a must with what I have in mind.
This almost put me on the path to buying either a Thrustmaster T300RS, or the new PXN V10 (relaunched 2014 Mad Catz steering wheel).
However, the Thrustmaster set is rather expensive as an entry level setup, while the PXN wheel has rather mixed reviews, though I like its form factor very much.
The Logitech G25/27/29/920/923 is ubiquitous on the second hand market and seems like a logical choice, if it weren’t for the fixed wheel.
This mod might be the perfect complement for my use case.

How is the wobble with the original steering wheel with the adapter installed? From the video it's visible that the wheel is now much farther from the drive unit, wondering how it behaves. Does it feel much less solid?

I have the g27wheel base using g920 pedals and modified g25 shifter, attached to a drivehub converter to work on xbox or playstation.
Im very interested in purchasing this for better convenience.
I want to know if i use my spare g920 wheel rim only (not the base) and mounted onto my permanent g27 base setup using your quick release system will all steering wheel button controls on g920 work inc d-pad connected to a g27 base?
I know the main button controls on the g27 are controlled on my shifter setup but im not sure if the g920 wheel attached will make everything work this way around?
If only the 6 red wheell buttons are mapped to work on g920 wheel im happy.
Basically i have old technology base with a new technology wheel rim, will it still work?

Hi! This mod is amazing but I just had a quick question. I am currently in college and i wanted to learn how you made the the connect from the 7 pin to the VGA adapter?
My guess is just ordered some bundles of cables online, a bunch of vga male and female sockets and found the 7 pins plugs online too. Get all that and a bit of skill to put them all together and it’ll work.

sorry for all these questions but i found some wheels on 3drap and look like the one you have. they have a usb cable and a quick release. do they work with you quick release mod?
Sory for late answer. They did a quick release for logitech G25 before me. But, I belive, it is not possible to work other g series wheels. And I couldn't see any ingaming video, maybe there is one but I don't know. For now, there is two proper solution for logitech quick release. Mine and Mvh studio's. Mvh's quick release is more complicated, and brings more options but it is not cheap solution.
btw i would recommend getting a more stable table or something like that as i noticed your whole setup wobbling around
I am using this table for working. I play games on my 10 years old sim rig. I am going to make new aluminium sigma rig. When I've got time. I should make some changes on my desk too. You are right everything is wobbling. I hate it too.
and im on ps4 i like to drift and also race and i want to be able to swap quickly between wheels but keep the g29 buttons on the g29 wheel do you thing i could do that with a f1 wheel like yours

You can attach it. But, buttons are not going to work. There is an aurdino based solution but that is not going to work cominicated Thrustmaster steering wheels like f1 series. I made design compitable with Thrustmaster adapters. Because, there are lots of aftermarket or diy steering wheels with usb connection on the market. So, you can use any steering wheel on the market under only one condıtion. Electronics must work via external connection, like usb or wireless.

If you Have MVH Studio wheels, installition is the same with stock Logitech wheel. You just need to open back cover. That's it. If you have my qr mod, you can use any steering, which has external usb cable for electronics. My mod is compitable with Thrustmaster adapters too. So new wheel has to have Thrustmaster adapter and external connection with pc or console. To see examples please look at my instagram posts. @moditektr
How did you get the steering wheel set up? when I switch between wheels the game stops responding since I have the buttons assigned to a wheel via USB :/ (sorry for my bad english)

But the steering wheel doesn't turn more than normal, does it? Like it seems like it's getting lighter, or is it still the same thing?
While using stock wheel, Everything is the same. Quick release doesn’t effect anything. It adds just another connection.
Is this also compatible with the Logitech driving force GT wheel+base? Got myself one very cheep and I'm trying to upgrade it a little:)

I could not understand well. But, I can say if you are playing on pc, there is no problem. Other wheels don’t work on consoles. But if you have two Logitech steering wheel rim “like in my videos “ there is no problem on console or pc.

do you ship the quick release only or quick release + wheel adapter
Quick Release kit includes 3 parts.
-base adapter
-locking ring
- 1 piece steering wheel adapter.
But, you can buy an extra "steering wheel adapter" too.
only issue i see is the connection thing its suppossedto be round for the trustmaster f1 wheel so it wont work with that wheel
For now. You can't run Thrustmaster steering wheels on Logitech bases. Espacialy f1 rims. Everybody is asking for it.
I made a quick release for Thrustmaster T150. Just testing. Thrustmaster F1 wheel didn't work on it.

If you use original logitech steering wheels, nothing is going to be change.
You can use them on any platform like before mod. I only added an extra connection to swaping wheels

You can use stock wheel on console too. But If you want to use diy steering wheels on consoles you should put compitable controller pcb inside of the diy steering wheel. And, It must be connected external.

Aluminium sheet was cuted by plasma cutter. For other parts, you can find them on Aliexpress.

A lot of customer of mine have bought a second hand steering wheels. Then, they turned it to gt or f1 style steering wheel. But, I realy don't know where they are finding a second hand steering wheel. I guess they are searching it second hand websites like Ebay.
you see, i love the mod, i really want to get it. but there are two glaring issues, specific to me
1. i'm contemplating buying a moza r5, so it'd be pointless if i did
2. do you really think that if i'd looking at a quick release this cheap for a wheel this cheap, that i can afford another rim?

Etsy satış sayfamdaki yapılan yorumalara ve satış miktarına bakıverin. Sadece f1 oynayacaksanız, o zaman f1 frame almanız daha ucuza gelir. Ama arada kamyon süreceğim, ralli onarım, asseto corsa da drift yapacağım, offsetli direksiyon da takacağım, diyorsanız, quick release almaktan başka şansınız kalmıyor. Bu arada f1 frame alıpta quick release de uygulayabilirsiniz.
Bütün bu bahsettiğim modların hepsi, geri döndürülebilir modlar olup; hiçbir garanti etiketini sökmek durumunda kalmıyorsunız. Yine de riskin size ait olduğunu bilmenizi isterim. F1 frame için "EMC" yi tercih edebilirsiniz.

Dfgt'de kendi kendine tuşlara basma sorunu çok nadir oluyordu.
Sonra G27 üzerinde çalışırken, bu sorunun çözümünü buldum. Ve G serisi için yaptığım bu tasarımı olabildiğince mükemmel hale getirmeye çalıştım. Ve bu ürün ortaya çıktı.
Yani Dfgt için aynı şekilde çalışan Qr sistemim var. Fakat mükemmel değil. Ama çözüm bulundu. Vakit bulumca onu da piyasaya süreceğim.👍

Not everything. Original steering wheels with electronics (buttons paddles pcb) works on consoles. Because, this modification adds one more connection which can be separated any time you wish. Just one more connection. That’s it

@@uknowmyname007 ıf you are talking about f1 wheel, you are absulutly right. And I know that. Lots of people asking that f1 wheel. But it is not my design, I can't make it for selling. But ı have a plan to design my own f1 wheel. Better than thisone. No time for that.
M/H studios are making f1 frames for logitech wheels. It is totaly different thing.
They made quick release for logitech too. After me 😄

If you are going to mount a steering wheel which has simular weight and diameter, it doesn’t effect ffb. But, if you are going to use heavier or bigger diameter wheel, it reduces the torque of the base.

Bu parayı verdikten sonra 600 tl verip ikinci bir direksiyon almış oluyorsunuz. İnanın 600 tl direksiyona kattığı özelliğin yanında hiçbirşey. Tabi yinr takdir sizin.

There is no wobble. They are turning like original.
