The magnet mod for the shifter paddles has to be the best tactile upgrade ever. I've gotten so used to it that I forgot how spongy and cheap it felt without the mod along with sheer amount of motion required to make contact with the buttons.

For my 920 I put the clutch pedal spring into the accelerator pedal since I'm quite heavy footed, the extra force needed was barely noticeable after a few hours of racing - Will definitely be getting the new brake spring :)
I've been thinking to replace my rim, this video 100% helps!
I use all of these mods, MVH is superb and the service is excellent, highly reccomended.

orderd the F1and GT series wheel + the telementry screen with motor mount and the magnetic paddle shifter after seeing this video. I absolutely love it. Also great quality, doesnt flex in any way even when making fast steering manouvres or shifting.

I used small amount of grease on break pedal mod spring worked a charm 👍
Watched the video and bought the spring.
I already have the magnetic shifter. I love the more positive feel from it.
On console so the display isn't much use. Hopefully in the future telemetry will become more standard on console.

I have completely modded the crap out of my 923 lol. I've got the mc style gt3 wheel rim from acelith, the gteye clutch and accelerator springs for the pedals, mvhstudios magnetic paddle shifters, the custom sim shop sequential shifter mod for the h-pattern shifter, and a few other bits and bobs. It's completely changed how it feels, almost unrecognisable from the standard 923 lol

All good mods but one thing I have to point out.
For the braake pedal spring you only need to undo the two Allen screws either side of the pedal.
Much easier than taking the whole pedal base apart, a little fiddly getting the new spring in but took me five minutes in total.
What a great price as well. I feel like something like this would be priced at $200+

So basically the reason you need to do this whole procedure is to just remove the two screws that connect the base to the steering. You can actually bolt the original steering back (should you wish) with the six front Allen bolts without having to put the two screws back.

I have been using my Logitech G920 for about 3 months now and I purchased a Mclaren style F1 wheel from ANSE3D and I am still loving it. These mods in the vid look stunning though
Did u get the grip with it? If not how is it without the grips
@@stud3737 I got the Suede Black grip. I read that some people use sim racing gloves with suede wrap to prolong the life of it but I don't use gloves and it's held up nicely

Absolutely worth it. I've had the MVH wheel for a year now. The Logitech pedals are hopeless. I replaced them with Thrustmaster TLCM pedals.

About your rig, hows the paint holding up? is it easily scratchable?
Funny, I've got this on my G29 and love it. If you get the suede grips, do yourself a favor and WEAR GLOVES or you will ruin it. I've also got the display and I'm keeping it even though I'm moving onto a CSL DD, tho for the G29 I don't recommend the wheel mount for it, go with the motor mount. The cable that attaches it can get tangled if you try to do full rotations of this wheel.
Yeah the wheel base mount is much better for the telemetry display.

Have you managed to do anything about the dead one of the steering wheel? So how your g29 steering wheel can turn more than what the steering wheel in the car in game can?
Just curious to ask but by removing all the L2/L3 and R2/R3 buttons, will they still work with the replacement covers that come with either the F1 or GT Wheel? Just making sure since I’ll be purchasing the next release of the GT wheels but Series 2 this time as MVH Studios has leaked towards me when I wanted to get their GT Wheel for GT7 but it was and currently out of stock at this time🙏👍.

i'm wondering if you could try to mod the latest logitech g pro wheel, i got one and i really want to use the porsche 911 rsr wheel on it but i don't know if it actually fit the quick release direct drive base...
Can you install the spring onto the left pedal instead of the middle pedal? As that's what I have used on this model for braking as it has more give. Great video and super helpful for noobs such as myself.

Do the magnetic shifters improve the standard shifters in terms of responsiveness etc, or is it more of a preference thing? Also, do they make a lot of noise? Thanks and great video!!
They make mis-shifting a thing of the past. You can shift from 8th to 1st perfectly due to the tactile feedback. The shifter comes with pads you can always use to make the shifts very quiet.

It takes how many time for you to receive it ?
I prefer the paddles with way less travel.
I have mounted the mod behind the paddles until they stick together, moved the paddles as far back as i can until they almost start pushing the little triggers, tighten the mod and now i have nice and clicky and fast shifting paddles :D
I may have missed somthing do the l and r buttons not exist with the new wheels

@@icarlo21 T300 is leagues ahead of the G29
The Thrustmaster F1 wheel is a whole new wheel/new buttons/quick release/etc. The G29 is just a plastic rim "mod" that you can't really hotswap. No comparison.
I love my G29 and MVH F1 wheel, but I would have just bought a T300 if I could do it again

Now I play on my wheel more than when I bought it I wish I'd gone the thrustmaster route for the belt driven ff, so if you can save for it

I had a Anse3d plastic similar and it broke in half 1 year and a half after purchase. I bought a zwe920 in aluminium and it's really necessary. The plastic eventually is going to fail.

No but you can do
When i use the link i cant find the actual wheel mod anywhere on the website and i have been looking for like an hour around to find it
On the G920/920. Dont put that rubber block back in with your brake! Its there to give add the variability that the spring is now supplying. In fact, take it out anyway, variable spring or not. Its just too stiff.
If I was to remove the rubber stopper without the spring would it be too easy like the throttle?
@@xILoveFishyx no, it only takes effect at nearly full depression of the pedal, so springs strength is the same, its just the last 20% you wont have to stand on it. I was watching the calibration as i was pushing my pedal, and I had to almost lift my arse off the seat to get 100% on the brake, I seen a video about removing it (after googling the problem).
Its hard to go smooth on the brake when you have to stomp it, so removing the block gives you full control.
Honestly, just try it, you can chuck it back in after.
