- So firstly this is a vlog I filmed quite a few weeks ago but have not had the time to post it until now. Johnny and the velomobile skeptic AKA Stuart headed off into deepest darkest Kent. Stuart was riding the Alpha 7 and I was in the Quattrovelo.I also received a beautifully made pair of armrests for my Milan SL from a chap in Germany called Niklas Bostelmann who is a fan of the channel and made them himself,they are awesome and if you would like a pair, here is the link to his website.www.nbfaserverbundtechnik.de

Hi Johnny - thanks for the video - very enjoyable - glad to see you're recovering from the Covid-19. I do a bit of cycling but due to lock down, the cold and the wet I've not done many miles so far this year - I do have a Cube with pedal assist but tend to only use it as an 'insurance policy' to get me home if I conk out or if some of the hills are just too steep for a 77 year old!! Keep up the good work.

Your daughter did a good thing getting you that gimbal. You have to read the instructions to work out how to stop it going wonky. Once you've mastered that you will love the gimbal.
Stuart really liked the Alpha 7. You have to be careful you don't convert him into being a velonaut as you'll lose the whole dynamic of him being a sceptic.

I'm very glad the Alpha 7 was my velomobile of choice as North Dublin where I live is pretty hilly.

You might want to check if your gimbal is balanced correctly. When setup correctly, the camera shouldn't "drop" like that even though the gimbal battery dies.

How did you let Si beat a velo on GCN? You weren't invited to have a ride against him? Bit sad that the track chosen was short and the top speed of the velo didn't make up for the slow start vs a road bike.
We were not invited to ride otherwise the result would of been very different. I still think Manon did very well see was she had not even had a practice before they started filming.
Yeah. I reckon after a few more rides and some more confidence riding she would knock Si over on the TT bike.
The trick is to put Si in the Milan. Then you'll have the first man to break the sound barrier with (super)human power.
