    Well done to all including the Hand Cyclist. Nice to see such a range of Bents and a few other Cycles. Thanks, John.

      I agree 100% . Amazing to see so many different types of Hpv’s racing with each other. Great fun to watch your videos and enjoy the world of Velomobile racing and Adventures through your perspective.

    Props to the last guy for rocking the masks still. Thanks for keeping everyone safe.
    I bet once this is really over he'll have the strongest lung muscles too.
    I'd love to get even more obsessed with VMs in the future, would be lovely to see even more technical stuff of the self-build thingies ...
    And where the hell was stuart? :D

    You got faster as your body warmed up. Endurance training is key to your success. Find the Velomobile that you have consistently been the fastest you have ever been and endurance train on that specific Velomobile and you will achieve victory! Good luck and God Speed!

    That looks an absolute blast. I wish that there was something like that here in this part of Australia. There's some recumbent racing with it being pretty organised and pretty fast.
    Do triathlon bikes get a run there at all? It could get a bit sketchy on some of the corners on tri bars especially if the track is a bit damp.

    me sinto frustrado no meu país, pois tudo que eu gosto nessa vida,
    é de pedalar as minhas lindas filhas recumbt bike mid racer,
    e a minha outra filhona tipo rcb - cruzbike,

    You were racing a LeMan velomobile I think? Good on ya for doing so well. Nice to see all the hand cycles there too

      If you mean John's velomobile, then that was a Milan SL. Cycles jv LeMans has 26" wheels all the way. Pity that it is a very rarely seen racing machine

    There are plenty of people who may blame you for getting obsessed over velomobiles and/or recumbents, me included. :)

    Most excellent! I've just joined the BHPC and hope to get to a race or two before the year is out. Do they do a super, super slow race?

    • @kimwall834
      @kimwall834 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't worry, slow riders will always be in good company, and single-digits mph speeds aren't uncommon when we have a lot of younger juniors or handcyclists in the race. For most of us it's a social event with a little friendly competition.

    Grong cats on your second place. I heard from Mannon on GCN, that it's more difficult to output high wattage in a laying down position. So I assume that 260W is a lot?

    • @EdouardTavinor
      @EdouardTavinor 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i don't think it's more difficult to output high power lying down. The main difference is that the pedal stroke is different. On an upright bike you tread towards the line of contact between the front and back wheel, on a recumbent you tread away from your body's center of mass. This has to be practised, which explains Mannon's performance and low wattage.

      @@EdouardTavinor Thanks for the explanation. I suspected something similar.

    9:24 What is he protecting from, with that mask? No wonder he got offline having less oxigen in the brain to deal with because of the mask!
