That is a great selection of games for the genesis. I personally still think that Spider-Man and Venom separation anxiety was a great two-player beat em up. Another extremely odd one would end up being Cyborg Justice
Thanks! I almost included separation anxiety, as it was a game I grew up with. But when I recently went back to play it, I just didn’t enjoy it as much. Cyborg Justice on the other hand is one that just frustrates me haha.
Great video! I'm also a big fan of the Genesis, so it's great to see it get some love here. The only other game I can think of that I feel should make a top co-op list for the system is Gauntlet IV. The soundtrack is amazing and it features 4-player gameplay with a multi-tap adapter.
Wonderful list! I've played through many of these games with my brother and my friend. Of those not in the video and not mentioned in the comments, I'd recommend Sunset Riders, which despite not being an accurate port, is still a solid game on its own.
Awesome! Thought about including Sunset Riders, but I just think the SNES port is better and that’s the one I grew up with. You’ll definitely see it in my upcoming Co-op Super Nintendo video!
Nice to see Zero Tolerance here! Don't know if you know these multi-tap co-op games, Yu Yu Hakusho: Makyou Toitsusen, Pro Striker Final Stage, NHL 96 and Mutant League Hockey,.
@@ClassicCo-op Through completing the very dry single player mode, you unlock an extra mode that's vs. all cpu. So no teams or free for all, but up to three cpu's only fighting you! On the hardest difficulty it gets really tough. I like smacking opponents into each other with the big mutant guy, can't remember his name.
I played through Toejam and Earl 2 a couple times co-op and I just never liked it as much as the original. But still think it has some really cool features.
@@ClassicCo-op I'm thinking about ordering a new Sega Genesis off Amazon has preloaded games but don't know what to get cuz I don't know what games will be on it
@ClassicCo-op I have never been more envious for a game. That's my favorite genre and that game is sooo deep. I thought somebody absorbed watermelon and was going to release next gen ports but it has never happened and there's no repros of it
@@ClassicCo-op I watched clips of it being played 2 player and it looked really fun and exciting just like a more up to date version of Cadash. It's a shame your footage only showed that first level being played by that woman as I've seen that level being played by the woman in one player about 7 or 8 times. I did try killing the first boss but you need to understand the magic system I think.

That’s the one gauntlet I haven’t played too much of. I need to revisit it!

X-Men 2 is the one of the best side scrolling best 'em ups. I definitely love this game.
I played it a ton as a kid, but always sucked at it haha. I need to give it another shot!
Great video, bro! Thanks for showing me like 5 games I had no clue existed, keep it up!!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Battletech is another interesting co-op game. 1st player control movement while 2nd player control fire.
I actually really love this game’s co-op. I almost included it, I just could never get very far in it.
I miss Two Crude Dudes. This one was simple an cool to play in Co-Op.
Love that game too!
Doom Troopers is also an interesting game which can be played co-op.
Do you know if the snes or Genesis version is better? Or any differences? I need to play it more.
@@ClassicCo-op never had SNES console. It didn't sell in my country. I didn't try the Doom Troopers SNES version with the emulator either.
I really like these console themed episodes! Would love to see a SNES one as well.
Thanks! I plan on doing a video like this for every console. SNES will be soon!

That Yu Yu Hakusho game is one of my favorite fighting games ever. It’s really fun to do teams!

Zero Tolerence is on modern platforms now.

One game I think you missed that belongs on the list - Gain Ground.
That is a good one too!
How about toe jam and earl 2. I recall having fun on that. Streets of rage 2 is top slot for sure.

I love coop games.
Now i just need a friend or two! 😢
That’s always the problem, huh? 😅
@@ClassicCo-op so is.
Bonanza Broz features split screen co-op with interesting levels and gameplay.
I was just playing this! Definitely a unique and fun game.
you forgot Power Rangers the movie
I beat that game a few times over the years. I do like it. Almost included it!
Do you have paprium? I want to play it but not at $800
I do, yeah. I preordered it. Is that how much used copies are going for?! That’s insane!

Sunset Ryder 😢
It’s on the snes video!
No Bonanza Bros?
2ng game not co-op is bad.
What do you mean? Talking about blades of vengeance?
@@ClassicCo-op yeah
no wait it is. The first level is an absolute nightmare of poor design choices
